It's Mixed Media Time.

How time flies when you are having fun!
I have been away holidaying for Mother's Day
Family Birthdays and meeting my new Great Granddaughter
so my craft time is just getting back to some normality.

Our New Anything Goes Challenge over at
has gone live!

As it happens when you spend time away
Mo and Jo seem to tend to come back slowly.
My Mixed Media project luckily was started
while I had my girlfriend visiting and we
didn't get to finish what we had started so -
that gave me a head start before Mo and Jo returned.

The background and stamped dragonfly from
Visible Image Live in the Moment
were the starting point to go for my simple tag.

Adding Little Birdie stencilled background with DecoArt textured sand paste,
reinking and fussy cutting my dragonfly.
Grungy text stamping from STAMPlorations and AALL&Create.
Washi tape  and sentiment also AALL&Create.

Finished with popping the cut and coloured dragonfly,
 black cotton, posca pen splatters,
Art Alchemy waxes and a purple backing.
Head over and see what inspiration awaits you in our
Gallery from the Talented Designers.
Hope you can join in with yours this month.
Thanks for dropping in and commenting.

Guest Designing at Tic Tac Toe Challenge

I am thrilled to have been invited to be a Guest Designer
for  Challenge #211 at
Tic Tac Toe Challenge with a 'Crafty Twist'
using three elements from their Mood Board.
Which way will you go with this one below?

Everybody loves butterflies don't they?
As you can see I went with top right, middle and bottom left.
(butterfly, die cut and embossing)
I have just got back from a family holiday so went CAS.
My background is using the shaving cream technique
inking the Carabelle Studio Libellules & Palillions
Butterfly stamp with Versafine Clair Nocturne
and Heat Embossed clear.
My die cut sentiment is from Kaisercraft.
Framed and attached to coloured card base.

I also had a girlfriend visiting for some time
having fun delving into all things creative.
The background for the top card was one of those days.
This card above is one we played with together
after purchasing the Woodware Mini Flower Silhouettes
I was happy to be able to use it here for the middle row of
(pink, die cut and stencil)
I had already made a card similar
but in different colours Here
All I needed to do with this one was
add a die cut sentiment, a small pearl,
and a yellow strip on the side before attaching to card base.
The pink flower was inked and heat embossed.
Added some splatters.
Stencilled background is from Clear Scraps Diamonds
and sentiment CUTplorations.
Head over Here
and see what three elements the Talented Designers
chose to inspire you with and add yours to the Gallery.
A big Thank You for inviting me to be your Guest.

A Colourful Floral Happy Birthday

I recently had a girlfriend visiting for quite some time
and we had a whole lot of fun creating in so many different ways.
The card I present here is one we made together.
I wanted her to have fun with the layers of the Honey Bee Coneflower Die.

As it worked out it is perfect for the challenges at
and

We played with a whole lot of different coloured
Lindy's Magical's and each chose the ones we liked together.
Embossed the bottom half using Quickuts Diamonds and Dots
attached ribbon and layered up my
brightly coloured conflower.
Think it pops with colour and dimension!
The variegated Happy Birthday sentiment is
one my girlfriend bought while here.
It was a whole lot of fun creating this card with my friend.

PS after they left here we met up again when I
spent a few weeks with my daughter for celebrations
and soaking up the sunshine and warmth in the north
before coming home to the start of winter.

Thanks for coming to visit and leaving
your kind comments - so appreciated.
