Guitar Pickin' Invitation

What perfect timing the Colour Challenge from
Just us Girls was for me to practice
making a quick and easy Invitation for my hubby's 70th birthday.
I had made him a birthday card with this stamp set last year
and in the same colours - which got me thinking....

Not much in making this which is good for mass production.

I used White and Orange card stock
The guitar and grunge is from Inspired by Stamping - Guitars
The background is stamped with Kaisercraft Grunge
and Stampin' Up Beyond the Basics
The sentiment is from my stash
Inks are Memento Broken China & Peanut Brittle
Guitar is heat embossed with Blue Pearl Powder

I would like to enter this in the current Designer's Choice Challenge
Here for their For the Guys Challenge.

Thanks for poppin' in

Inspired by Stamping Challenge #81

I was over at Inspired by Stamping
checking out their latest Blog Challenge
Here and was impressed with the colour choice so decided to
find some pretty paper and stamp and see what I could make.

from this

I found this fabulous paper at our local office supplier
Officeworks called Crazed.
I love the look of it as it is an iridescent paper.
I adhered it to white card base after I inked the
Graceful Hydrangea stamp from Inspired by Stamping.
AND
Sentiment is also IBS - Big Wishes II
The DP is from Gina K 's Victoria Garden
Ribbon is Stampin' Up
Kaisercraft Pearls finished it off.

That's it for this posting so till next time

It's a 'House' Sketch Challenge #A1614

It's been a long time since I got to enter one of the great challenges over at
and when I saw their latest sketch challenge
and the great inspiration
from the Rock Stars I knew I had to
get in my craft room and create.

Here is what I made

from this sketch

I saw Cheri's embossed background Here
and knew I had the same folder.
I have been going to use it for ages and it fitted perfectly
for the background of my Daffodils. Thanks SS

I used the following items on my card -
Basic white yellow and black card stock
Spellbinders ovals/scalloped ovals
Sizzix butterfly die
Sentiment is from Inspired by Stamping -
 Trendy Circle Sentiments
and that beautiful Daffodil is
904W from Repeat Impressions.
Daffodil and Sentiment are popped.
Added a touch of dimensional magic to the centre of the Tulips.
Tulips coloured with Faber-Castell water colour pencils.

I had a hard time picking which flower stamp to use
as there are so many gorgeous ones (don't have them all)
and wanted to use one that the Rock Stars hadn't.

I would also like to enter this card in the following challenges -
