Merry Christmas

It's Trend Week and Hosting this weeks challenge at
Just Us Girls is The Lovely Lisa who chose
  Silhouette Stamping.
Now this isn't really 'stamping' as such but it is
A Silhouette!
I lightly attached the ARTplorations Christmas Reindeer
preview-web-stencil-033-christmasreindeer
to black card stock and sprayed with
Tim's Antiqued Bronze Distress Spray Stain and let it dry.
I then cut the centre out to use for the top layer then
added a black frame.
I found some patterned vellum that matched colour wise
and cut out the sentiment from Paper Smooches
attached it to black card stock and the simple-ist
Christmas card was done.

Pop over to Our Blog to see what inspired our
November Guest Trina Pham
and the Team and come play.

By the way! The Jugheads are taking December off so
those chosen as a Chic of the Week  in November
will be in the running for 2 Guest Spots when we
come back rested and raring to go again in January.

Thanks for dropping in - Love reading your comments!

'Seriously'

I Love a 'Colour Challenge' and once more
I am playing over at CAS Colours & Sketches

All the details are Here

As the challenge states - cas
here is how I made my card.
My card stock is from 2 of the colours above.
I added dots from ARTplorations onto white card stock
with texture paste and once it was dry I added some
 breezy waives from Memory Box.
Then came 3 die cuts which were cut from some smooched
oxide inks in Peacock Feathers & Cracked Pistachio.
Added some silver glitter and a tiny bow from Waffle Flower.
Sentiment is from STAMPlorations.

Thanks for dropping by.

It's for 'Remembrance Day'

Each year I make a Poppy Card for
Remembrance Day in Australia.
The reason for this is -
Armistice Day is on 11 November and is also known as Remembrance Day.
It marks the day World War One ended,
at 11am on the 11th day of the 11th month, back in 1918.
A two-minute silence is held at 11am to remember the people who have died in wars.

This was timely as the current challenge -
Thank You/Thanksgiving was chosen by Tammy
 over at  Cardz 4 Galz

I started with cutting my card stock with a stitched die then
adding texture paste to my MB Texture Distressed Grid
 and while that was drying
I cut out my MB Poppy twice - once for the green stem
then for the flower in a red shimmery paper.
I offset the bottom poppy slightly to show the
green background. I then cut a white leaf from Kaisercraft.
I lightly sponged Tim's Festive Berries over the dry texture paste
and added my poppy. A teeny weeny bow from Waffle Flower
was added to finish.
I then added a stitched die frame from kraft paper
and attached to my white card base.
The Thank You is a die cut from a friend and was inked with
Tim's Antique Linen to match.

Thanks for dropping in today.

Happy Happy Happy Day

It's time for a new Challenge over at Addicted to Stamps and More
and this time round it is our Make Your Mark.
It's always fun playing with colours and I was really happy
with the result of my smooching here. I think I am addicted!
There were pinks reds and sandstone Brusho's.
Also added a touch of stenciling with Nuvo Mousse.
The squiggle (hope that's a word) was also multi coloured
and cut out popped and a gem added.
My Kaisercraft leaves are vellum.
Sentiment is from Stampin' Up
inked in Calypso Coral.
So you can see I really did Make My Mark here.

Make your Mark - your entry MUST contain the use of anything that can make a mark - Stampin' Write, Copics, Promarkers, Painting, Chalks, Watercolours, Sponges, Stencils, Masks etc etc

Don't forget to pop over and see what the Team created
and join us. Sure hope to see you there.

A 'Single' Snowflake

Hello Crafty Friends
Today's post is for the current challenge at
where we are required to add just 1 Snowflake.
Check out the Details Here

I am loving the results you get with Tim's Oxide Inks
and this is what I used here.
Inks were Cracked Pistachio and Peacock Feather.
using the splash technique from Loll Thompson
found Here. It is so easy and so effective.
After I had finished I then got out my Iridescent Medium
and randomly sponged around the inking.
Added a blingy snowflake from Spellbinders
and the Merry Christmas die from Paper Smooches
with silver glitter and popped a pearl for the final touch.
This was cut from a stitched die and popped.
Of course I am going to pop this over to
Loll's Splash Watercolouring Challenge too.
and CAS Colours & Sketches
for their Colour Challenge Here

I am really enjoying making cas cards with
some of my favourite and others products
Tim's Oxide inks or Brusho's.
This time Tim won out.
Off to add this to the challenges above
and then to play some more.
Till next time
Enjoy your playtime!

Simply 'Hello'

Hello Fellow Crafters

Today's post is for the new CUTplorations Challenge at
STAMPlorations and below is our
Inspiration Photo for November.

I must admit it took me a wee while to
figure out how I would incorporate my card from this photo.
I looked through my STAMPloration Stash only to find
I didn't have any leaves - which I thought I would go with. Alas!
However I decided to ink up some feathers
and my card was started.
I chose Memento Lulu Lavender & Dessert Sand which were
fussy cut. Now I needed a soft background so inked up
ARTplorations Foiled Again in the same colours cutting it with the
This was backed with matching coloured cs.
My Simply is from STAMPlorations Bold Sentiments
 inked with Memento Sweet Plum.
The Hello Die is
I finished off with some purple cotton.

You have the whole month to play and I hope
you will come join us before the mad rush of December
catches us up all too quickly.
Below are the STAMPloration products I used here.

May Your Days be Merry!

Hello Crafty Friends - so glad you popped in.

Today's post is for the current challenge over at
CAS Mix Up and the November challenge is
I have stamping - my sentiment
Glitter - Leaf
+ Choice - Splash Water Colouring
Die Cuts & Shimmer.
and over at Stamping with Loll
Loll has a splash Water Colour Challenge Here
so will pop this card over there also.
I love that easy peasy technique (Thanks for the tutorial Loll)
and is  perfect for leftovers which I have once again used here.
***
My water colour splash was inked with Tim's Oxide Ink
in Abandoned Coral cut out from
attaching a white frame behind it and popped.
Added my glitter leaf from Kaisercraft.
Sentiment is from
Added a touch of Nuvo Shimmer to the sentiment leaves
and my card is done.
We have a whole month to play with this CAS Challenge so
I am sure I will be back with more Glitter - after all
Christmas is all about glitter isn't it?
then again I may go a different direction.

Till next time

It's all about the 'TAG'

Are you nearly ready for Christmas?
It is just around the corner and details of
this month's Anything Goes Christmas Challenge
(and optional twist of TAG)
can be found Here
Now Tags just aren't my favourite thing and A
Challenge is A Challenge - so here goes
Because I make very few tags I seem to
procrastinate over these little blighters
and get into one big craft mess in the process.
However this tag surprisingly came together nicely for me.
How? Having some fabulous stamps and Designer Papers
from the Happy Little Stampers Store certainly helped.
I cut 2 tags from the
CUTplorations Curly Labels/Tags Nesting Dies -
One in kraft which was then stamped with snowflakes from SU
in Frayed Burlap and the other from the Designer Paper
and inked the edges with Tim's Festive Berries
The snowflakes are from Spellbinders cut from
Gina K paper and touched up with Colour Paste in gold.
I then attached the sentiment labels from
CUTplorations Bracket Labels/Tags Nesting Dies
inking the HLS sentiment with red embossing powder
and sponged the outline.
Added Merry Christmas to the kraft tag/
I then attached the dew dropped snowflakes
and some Christmasy cording and that tag was done.
***
The tags below were done some time ago.
I won't go into too much detail.
This tag was cut from a Sizzix set.
The tree is from Stamp It (Australia)
added some red liquid pearls, a die cut and tiny
pearls to the bottom. The tiny tag has the
Merry Die and twine is from HLS.
I had a biut of fun colouring my elf here.
He is from STAMPlorations Christmas Elf
preview-ChristmasElf
Isn't it the cutest set!
I used a manilla tag for this one and embossed
the background from a Cuttlebug folder sponging it lightly
and sprayed with a bit of shimmer.
Added the perfect sentiment from a SB die
some ribbon a bell and a few other bits & bobs.
***
Now if you are a tag type person whether it is
just a tag or a tag on a card I hope you will come play with us
this month over at Happy Little Stampers. If not and you just
want to get more Christmas cards made - go for it!
I look forward to seeing what inspires you this month.
Don't forget -
Our winner for this challenge will receive a $20 coupon to spend at the shop!
Check out all the details HERE.
Thanks for taking the time to drop by and read
this lengthy post. I appreciate it.
