No Stamping 'For You'

There's something very different with today's post for
Our Host Carol wants us to put our stamps away
and make our cards with

What crossed your mind when you saw the Trend?
Yikes! no stamping - not even for the sentiment.

I don't know what made me think of it but
I had this lovely frangipani vellum sheet
I bought umteen years ago and thought it would
make a nice framed feature.
Did you think it was paper?
It was cut out with Sizzix thinlits
and the frame cut again in white for the thin borders.
My background is embossed with a similar flower
on white card stock backed by yellow
to the card base.
Sentiment is from an Impression Obsession Die.
See - no stamping!
What a fabulous and fun challenge Carol.
Now I am looking forward to seeing what
our Gallery provides for us to check out.
That is after you have been to see what our Guest Fran
and my talented Team Mates created.
Thanks for dropping in

Water! Water! Water!

Hello and Welcome to today's post for
our New Challenge over at
with the Theme of Water Water Water
chosen by Sistah Dianne.

As you can see I went way outside the box
going with waterdrops!
I didn't really know how I would use my
Ryn Waterdrop stamps so went with a
stenciled background
using Distress Oxide Inks adding
a few black lines with a credit card for interest.
I then stamped part of my waterdrop stamp
adding some white spots and glossing them with
Nuvo Crystal Glaze
then die cutting the CUTplorations
Wonky Stitched Grid Texture Plate.
Sentiments are from STAMPlorations Bloom Sketches,
framed with a black pen to highlight.
Added a black frame and on to green card base.

Pop over and see how my Sistah's chose to
use water water water on their projects.
Hope to see yours in our Gallery.
Thanks for dropping in and leaving a comment.

A Merry Christmas Shaker Tree

Time again for our Anything Goes
Christmas Challenge at

and this time round I have made a CAS shaker card.
Not one I do very often but I wanted to
try the ARTplorations Christmas Tree die
that I got last year and a shaker was the perfect choice.
I used 'crazed' metallic card stock to cut out my tree
and as my base.
Filled with the blue shimmer shaker blend
from CRAFTplorations and popped.
Sentiment is from Lawn Fawn
and inked with Lindy's Magical's.

Pop over and see what my Team Mates created
and join in with yours in our Gallery.
