Simply 'Thinking of You'

Hi there! You've popped in because you know this post is for
the latest challenge over at Just Us Girls
Hosting this week is the Lovely Lisa.
It's our Colour Week (a favourite of mine)
choosing

I found it a little hard to get a decent photo.
Sometimes our camera/photo editing doesn't do
our card justice. That is the case here.
***
I got out an old favourite stamp/punch set from SU
for my card today. It's Petite Petals.
I cut 3 inked with Hampton Art Aqua.
Put them aside to arrange my background.
The first inking is a stamp gifted by a friend
in Memento London Fog. I then added a bit of
grunge in the aqua from SU Timeless Textures.
Cut out a MFT circle frame in SU Brilliant Blue
I used this same card stock for my base.
The grey leaves were cut from a Sizzix die
and inked again from the Timeless Texture Set.
Added Nuvo Drops to the centres of the flowers
which were popped.
Sentiment is from Happy Little Stampers.

Thanks for dropping in -
Hope you will go over and check
our May Guest Patti and the Team's creations
and join us in the Gallery.

A Dragonfly Birthday Reminder

Hi and Welcome!
Just a quick post to remind you there is still time
to play over at the Crafting with Dragonflies
for their 5th Birthday Celebrations.
And what Birthday Celebration is complete
without a Dragonfly Card - so here's one for you.

I have been experimenting with Alcohol Inks and
came up with this background and thought it would
show off my butterfly stamp.
This was gifted to me by a friend so do not know
who made it. I inked it and then decided to
emboss it in black as well to add shine.
My Happy die is cut in black and blue twice but is a bit hard to see
and from Impression Obsession.
I cut the SU birthday sentiment from black paper
and embossed it in white.
Finished with gems.
***
And for my second card
I took the easy way out with this one using the
Pre Coloured Butterfly Bella

Bella was cut from a CUTplorations Tag
and I inked the edges with  Tim's Carved Pumpkinn
Added some shimmer to her hair
and the dress straps with Nuvo Glitter Gloss
also Drops to the centre of the flowers.
A girl need lipstick so has a touch of glossy accents.
I popped my tag on to some distressed DP after adding the
variegated cotton to the top of the tag.
Sentiment is cut with a SB die and is from
Lily of the Valley.

Hope you enjoyed looking at my Birthday Reminder cards
AND
you get time to celebrate with us

It's a Twofer Butterfly Challenge

Hello and Welcome to  today's post.
If you have been checking up on me lately
you will know I have had butterfly images
floating around my blog quite a bit lately.
Now who doesn't love them. We have so many
in our stash it is hard to choose just which ones to play with - and
The Twofer Card Challenge prompt is just that!
Off course I made time to play and here are my
Twofer Butterfly Cards.

I tried to think of something out of the ordinary
BUT that flew out of the window with some of my butterflies.
So mine are the 'conventional' sort.

For my first card I went a bit grungy here
with my trusty Brusho's. I love the result
you get with the black and added orange and yellow
to the mix. I used acetate to move the colours around.
I even added a bit of  Gelatos Gold Champaigne
and some Burnt Orange Magicals.
I stamped my butterfly with black embossing powder
and also a spare to pop blending in with the same colours
as my background and fussy cut.
Stamped a couple of plain butterfly images
from STAMPlorations Trendy Butterflies
in Tim's Black Soot. Sentiment is also
from the same set.
To add interest I randomly inked some Kaisercraft Script.
This was all cut from a stitched die and
attached to black card stock.

For my second card I started by adding some
dry wall tape to a piece of kraft card stock
and layered it with DecoArt Crackle Paste
leaving it to dry then decided to pull the tape off
and was happy with the result. This was cut with
a Sizzix Banner and popped. My background is a mix
from SU Timeless Textures in
Tim's Abandoned Coral and Prima Marketing Bare inks.
I heat embossed my butterfly in white and smooched/dried
in Abandoned Coral and again fussy cut.
Sentiment is from STAMPlorations Pocket Blooms.
This was cut with a stitched die and adhered to
Kraft card stock to finish.

Just in case you aren't familiar with this challenge
you make 2 cards with the same stamp/die
 but for 2 different occasions.

Here is a photo of the butterfly stamps I got from a friend.
If anyone knows the maker I would love to hear from you
so I can give credit.

I have been busy lately creating for a few of my Favourite Blogs
and getting DT postings up and scheduled as some of you know
I will be away for a few weeks so what you see
from now on are Scheduled.
Thanks for dropping in and leaving your Comments.
So it's Cherrio for a wee while

Simply 'With Love'

Hello and Welcome!
It's been rather cool here and my little wood fire
has been burning to keep me warm inside.
What better way to spend a little more time
playing in my craft room.

I mentioned in an earlier post I was hoping to
make another card for the Gelato/Crayon Challenge
at CAS Mix Up before I heading north for a few weeks.
I did just that!
There has been sooooooooooo many challenges
using butterflies they seem to be flying
all around my craft room.
The one I used here wasn't what
I was going to use but the spare one I had left over
from creating for another challenge was too big.
I started my background with a stamp from
Katzelkraft which doesn't have a name on it
using Prima Marketing ink in Bare.
I then cut out a frame and filled it with gelatos
in Metallic Mint and Gold Champaigne
rubbing it in with my finger.
I then cut out a few flowers from
Tim's Wild Flower Dies in the same colours
and adding a soft peachy colour.
Attached them to the background and
popped my frame.
My butterfly was cut from a Cheery Lynn
die from gold metallic paper
and the SB sentiment the same.

My Mix is Gelatos, Die Cutting and
Lucky for me I stamped my background. Phew!

That's me for today.
Thanks for dropping in.
