All is Calm - All is Bright

Hello and Welcome to my post as a Designer for
It's an Anything Goes Mixed Media Challenge
using multiple mediums on our project.

I so enjoyed making my Wintery Christmas Hanger
especially as it is the complete opposite here - HOT HOT HOT.
I started with a gessoed 5x7 canvas adding
Dreamweaver White Crackle Paste on the top half and
a really thick layer of White Texture Paste. Heavy Gesso
and Fantasy Snow for the snowy ground.
I have used Lindy's Caribbean Blue, Blue Hawaiian Blue
Afternoon Delight Denim, Oom Pah Pah Pink,
Distress Oxide Broken China and Iced Spruce
for the background scene.
I inked my  images several time from Tim's Great Outdoors
onto tissue paper with Black Archival Ink
tearing carefully and applying to my canvas with
Gloss Gel Medium.
Added splatter of white paint for more snow.
Blinged up the sky with some Stampendous Twinkle Glitter
and a big glittered snowflake.
Finished off with  Finnabair Royal Robes
and Brushed Iron waxing giving the snow added colour.
Sentiment is cut out and inked from the stamp set.
Thought it needed hanging so added the wrinkly wire.
As we plan to get ready for Christmas, time goes so fast but
I did manage to take a few photos as I went along.

Adding the sky and snow
the inked trees and deer on tissue paper
with all the colours and bling
 and all pasted to canvas

That's all for this year for me at
Head over and see what the Talented Team created

'tis nearly Christmas Time

It really is 'Nearly' Christmas Time as December is upon us.
It's the first day of Summer here in Australia so
for our Anything Goes Watercolour Challenge at
Happy Little Stampers and our Option being Christmas
I went softly softly with my watercoloured floral card.
Too hot here for the traditional reds and greens.

It's hard to believe but the only item I used to
colour my Large Christmas Flower from STAMPlorations
         is from Lindy's Magical Shaker
in Oom Pah Pah Pink. I heat embossed it in white then
tapped some powder onto my work surface
and spritzed it with water and painted with a water brush.
I lightly smooched the background with
some of the leftovers and added
heat embossed random text.
Die cut a simple Merry Christmas sentiment
and finished by adding some Little Birdie
Texture Embossing Paste and puffed it up.

Pop over and see what my Team Mates created
and join in the festivities by adding yours
to our Gallery this month.
Hope to see you there.
As this is my last post for our
Watercolour Challenge for the year
I would like to wish you all a
Merry Christmas.
See you in the New Year.
