I love playing with stencils and Maria as Hostess
has chosen this for TREND WEEK!

I didn't really have a plan as to how I would make this card
so picked out one of my favourite stencils from
STAMPlorations called ARTplorations Happy Flowers.
I inked this up onto a spare piece of card stock I had
made with the shaving cream technique some time ago.
I liked the colour combinations so continued with that
for my stencil - TH Abandoned Coral/Peacock Feathers.
I then started adding bits of stamping here and there
and Kaisercraft Script.
For interest I inked the edges of the flowers
with matching gelly roll pens.
Added a black mat to the background onto white card stock.
Sentiment is from MFT - Simply Fab Sayings.

Spring is in the Air

Spring is in the air in the Northern parts of the World
but just not where I live.
and that is what the challenge over at
Hiding In My Craft Room is all about.
Check out the Details Here
I made a very quick clean and simple card for this challenge
as time was limited and I wanted to join in for fun!
I am off to visit my sister and I only had a small window
of opportunity to play.
Using basic card stock I have matted in colours of the butterfly
with a stitched die.
For a bit of interest I lightly stenciled the background
with white acrylic paint then attached my
heat embossed butterfly onto a piece of card stock that
has been previously inked with shaving cream.
Added a touch of WOS to parts of the butterfly.
Finished with a few brown sequins.
Products I used here are from STAMPlorations

Happy Birthday 'TIME OUT'

TIME OUT are celebrating their 3rd Birthday
with lots of Sponsors and lots of prizes!
So what better way to celebrate but to make a
Birthday card. As STAMPlorations are one of the sponsors
I used quite a few of their fabulous products for my card.
Starting with -
Basic card stock in grey/red/white.
ARTplorations Flourishes inked with Memento London Fog
My main image and frame are from  STAMPlorations Floral Bliss
heat embossed with Zing Charcoal
Spotlight is inked with Tim Holtz Abandoned Coral
so too  my XXOO from STAMPlorations Pocket Blooms
Sentiment is CUTplorations Happy
using the same paper as my frame.
The Happy and the XXOO have been inked with WOS
for shimmer which is hard to see.

It has been a long time since I made a 'Spotlight' card
and it was so much fun trying out this great technique once more.

I am going to pop this card over to

for their Anything Goes with a Birthday Theme
and Here

Thanks so much for dropping in today.

 I love reading your comments.
Till next time it's Cherrio from
