It's Chris's Cool Colour Challenge!

It's our Colour Week at Just Us Girls
and Hostess for this one is Chris
choosing the colours Pink Navy & Grey .

I was so undecided as to what I was going to make here
and then remembered a great grungy stamp I received
recently called - Celebrate Artsy from STAMPlorations
so decided I would stamp  one of the images with
2 of the required colours. Die cut it from a
Spellbinders die and framed it.
I seem to be in a stencil mode lately so I went
that way again for my background.
The stencils I used here are from
The Crafter's Workshop
Tim Holtz - Speckles
Dutch Doobadoo
Added a strip of  pink ribbon a button
and some cotton which I inked a little in navy.
This was popped after adding my sentiment
from Bloom Happy (love this little set)
and finishing with a few scattered gems.
A pretty simple card - and a little different.
Don't forget to pop over to Our Blog
to see what our Guest Shawna
and my team Mates have made.
They always 'impress'

Thanks for dropping in
Till next time - Cherrio from

A Mid Month 'Reminder' for CAS Anything Goes at STAMPlorations

It's that time of the month when we send out a 'REMINDER'
just in case you got side tracked and forgot to play at the
CAS Anything Goes Challenge over at STAMPlorations
Details are Here

I started my card using water colour paper and heat embossing
my flowers in white. Added some Distress Inks - Abandoned Coral
Mowed Lawn and Squeezed Lemonade from Tim Holtz
to my craft sheet and started blending the beautiful blooms
from STAMPloration Floral Bliss
I touched up the background lightly with a bit of
stencilling from ARTplorations Retro Circles
My sentiment is STAMPlorations by Noteworthy
inked with Memento London Fog
I just love that set. The font is fabulous don't you think?
Added some sponging around the flowers to finish
and popped.

I have been playing around with stencils and mixed media lately
and thought I would add this one to show you the
result I got from stencilling some Bluestone Sparkle Medium
through my ARTplorations Nestles Circles.
To add to this -
I then layered the word Happy from
CUTplorations  Happy Word Die in
grey aqua and silver.
Finished with a Birthday stamp cut from a
stitched Die from MFT and a few gems.

Why the Reminder? There is even more reason to play -
You can link up to 3 CAS cards.
Can enter a CAS card with or without the optional color twist.

'HELLO' again

I got my Lawn Fawn 'Hello' die out again to create a cas card
at AAA Cards. It's for their Hello Challenge
How easy is that? I simply got out some water colour paper
and went for an ombre type background using
Tim Holtz Distress Inks in
Mermaid Lagoon/Cracked Pistachio
Evergreen Bough & Peacock Feather and just smooched
them till I got my background. Added some Iridescent Medium
to give a shimmer effect.
The dies I used are from Kaisercraft  -in white
and an unbranded one - in silver.
This was cut from a stitched die and popped.
Added my 'HELLO' sentiment which I cut twice
giving it a lift and added some gems to finish.

Thanks for dropping in today.
Love reading your thoughts.

'Bling' in on.

I'm joining in over at Shopping our Stash
for their weekly challenge.
The current one is Stickle Me Elmo
I found this site thanks to my friend Chris. (Thank you)
All we have to do is use some kind of glitter/sparkle on our project.
How easy is that?
Don't we all love to add some sparkle here & there?

Well I may have gone 'overboard' with the shimmer but
what the heck! I like what the Wink of Stella
and Iridescent Medium brought out.

Also over at The Mod Squad  Barbara & Donna are Hosting
their Bling Challenge. I think I past on both counts.
Taking photos was challenging trying to get
the shimmer to show up.

I inked up my craft sheet with
Tim Holtz Squeezed Lemonade Abandoned Coral
and Mermaid Lagoon spritzed and then
using an acetate sheet inking my background randomly
till I was happy with the coverage.
I then sprayed that with Iridescent Medium
I cut my butterflies from a Spellbinder die -
the bottom with plain paper and the top
inked the same way as my background.
I completely covered the butterfly with
clear Wink of Stella.
The Hello (Lawn Fawn) was cut twice.
the back one was inked also with
Wink of Stella in gold and the front - clear
which is not showing in the photographs.
Added a few gems to finish.

Thanks for dropping in today. Love reading your comments.

It's not so Perfectly Created

I found a new blog while surfin' the net called
and their current challenge is to add texture to our card.
As some of you know I have recently been delving into a bit
of mixed media and playing around
with stencils and paints. It really is fun.

Here is my 'little bit of chaos'
and a closer look at the texture

I started my chaotic page with
my base of white card stock then
went to play with
ARTlorations Retro Circles stencil
with Green acrylic paint/Inka gold and a touch of
purple colour paste using my fingers to lift it
for dimension. There were bare bits so inked up
a baby wipe and sponged part of the background
with the leftovers.
Cut the A from an old Cuttlebug die
The Happy cut several times is CUTplorations Happy Word Die
and the Hello STAMPlorations  Celebrate Artsy
 popped with dimensions and
I rounded one of the corners.

Dropping this over to the

I appreciate your wonderful comments.
