Wild Card Week only comes around when we have
5 Saturday's in a Month and it is my turn to be 'Hostess'
I have chosen something a little different to the norm -
and a whole lot of fun!
It was for me as I decided to make a really special
card for my sister. She is the patch worker and I am the
paper maker. With that said here is my shaped card.
I have this fabulous stamp sets from SU - Sew Suite
and IBS - Vintage Thread which were just PERFECT.
I cut the apron shape by hand and layered it with
Kaisercraft Vintage Timeless DP that had
script and images from old style dress pattern instructions.
The sentiment is from GKD and cut from
Spellbinders Circles and backed.
My apron front has a scrap piece of dp
and sitting behind it is a pack of buttons -
the orange one is one I got from my sister's stash
when I visited her recently.
Added a spool of cotton and pins.
The lace around it too
I am sure is also from her house.
The little tiny piece of ric rac I bought
while visiting her a few years back.
It is so annoying when your photo doesn't show the real colours.
The thread and ric rac really are lavender and close to the
colour of the apron strings.
As you can see there are happy memories here.
The tiny lavender bow is something I have had
for an age. Goes to show all those items you need
do come in handy down the track.
(think that is as Aussie saying)
As I said earlier I had so much fun making this card
and will be sent to my sister with all my love in it.
Shame I can't send it till the end of July!
Thanks for taking the time to read my longish post.
