I 'MALE'd this card to my Son in Law

I am the Hostess this week for the
WORD CHALLENGE at JUST US GIRLS
and I chose MASCULINE.

All too often we get carried away making 'Girly' cards
so this week it is the Male's Turn.
***
I have a girlfriend who is forever looking out for crafty items
for me and most of what is on this card is thanks to her.
***
The background stamp is from Urban Stamps - Cogs
Inked in several colours from Memento
I also got the metal cogs and inked a few of them
on the background.
I was given a bunch of different types of metal cogs
so worked perfectly for my Son in Law
as he was in the middle of restoring an old car -
hence I thought he could do with a few spare parts
The sentiment is from Inspired by Stamping -
Chalkboard Birthday.

Hope I got to you with this challenge and
you get your male card stash updated.
Please checkout what the other Design Teamies
 and our
Guest for March - Jen Mitchell

Sieze the Birthday 'Masculine' card

I was asked by a girlfriend to make her a card
for her brother who happens to be
'Guitar Crazy'
and I had the perfect stamp for this card.
How lucky I am that this card suits the current challenge over at
Sieze the Birthday for a Masculine Card.

Here is the Recipe -

Basic Card Stock
The Guitar and Sentiments are from
Inspired by Stamping Stamp Sets -
Guitars/Masculine Tags/Chalkboard Birthday
Kaisercraft Grunge Stamp
EZ Cut Music Embossing Folder
Stampin' Up Beyond Basics Stamp
Dimensional Magic on the Guitar
Memento Inks -
London Fog/Black/Peanut Brittle.

I'm Stampin' on Tuesday again

There is another Sketch Challenge over at
so I thought I would put my dies to work
and this is my creation.

I used the basic card stock and embossed my background with
a Darice folder called Henna.
I framed that in front of coloured card stock.
The flowers are from Stampin' Up - Flower Shop.
The colour on one of the flowers look a little red but is
actually burgandy.
I decided after placing them on my card that
they were too nice to cover up so cut out a circle of
acetate from a Spellbinder die so you can see clearly
through it to the flowers.
I popped my sentiment on top of that with a
double punch. My sentiment is from Gina K Designs.
Finished off with a few pearls.

Thanks for dropping in so till next time

Thinking 'SPRING' at the Mod Squad

Again this week I have a Special Friend as Hostess at

Susan Sieracki has asked us to create a card depicting 'Spring'
Maybe she picked this one because of all the 'Winter Blues'
all my overseas friends are experiencing while I have been
basking in 'Sunshine' but I won't gloat as it won't be long
and I will be experiencing those cooler days.

Also over at The Paper Players their challenge is 'Spring'

***
I have a special reason for making this card.
The flowers I used have been sent to me and are from
SU Flower Shop. I loved this set and I received
a bundle of them in my mail box
Thanks so much Maria...
***
Here is what I used -
White card stock as my base
Small piece of DP on the side
SU flowers - Flower Shop
Kasazz Leaves
Tim Holtz Stencils
Sizzix butterfly
Pearls Micro Beads and Dew Drops
