What's Trending at Just Us Girls?

This week at Just Us Girls
Judy is Hosting our Trend Challenge.
The ever popular Vellum
has been chosen this time round.

Now a lot of you will know Judy & I love
the colour Purple so it was my choice of colour
for my vellum butterflies.
I guess I still had butterflies flying through my head
after our Challenge last week being Butterfly.

I used linen card stock as my base
 and backing for my image.
Here are the other products I used -
Foam squares for dimension
Green vellum - Sizzix leaf die
Purple vellum for the butterflies
using Sizzix die
Clear Scraps chevron stencil inked in
Memento Lulu Lavender.
A little spritzing
Sentiment in Rich Razzleberry
by Stampin' Up
Kaisercraft Pearls.
Green cotton behind the butterfly.

So there you have it.
Hope you will pop over to
Our Blog to see more
of what our Guest Aileen
and the Team designed for your inspiration.
Hope to see your creation there.

Thanks for dropping in

Scrappy Time at The House.

It's Designer's Choice at The House that Stamps Built
and Joy certainly picked one that we can all relate to -
Details are Here

Of course we ALL have a box full of scraps kept
for just this type of challenge.
Do you find it challenging to put a card
together with scraps? I didn't for this one
as it is really cas. I am playing around with
another one that is a little time consuming.
(More on that to come)
Here I used just by chance a variety
of purple/lilac coloured card stock I had
left on my desk to make but somehow
I got side tracked and forgot what it was for.
My favourite colours so made it Christmas!
My supplies included
Lilac Card Stock
Pearlescent Textured Card Stock
Mulberry Paper in 2 shades
Glitter Paper
My Noel which is from Repeat Impressions 2107
is cut from a Spellbinder die sitting on my desk
and popped
Framelits Banners - Stampin' Up
Corner Rounder.

And there you have it.
Thanks for dropping by.
I will be back again soon.
Till then Cherrio from

A touch of bling with the rhinestones.

It wasn't meant to be...

The card below wasn't meant to be for this challenge
until I decided to colour the flowers on the
back of the vellum - and it fitted perfectly for the
Colour challenge over at
The House that Stamps Built

I saw a card similar to this on Pinterest
and thought how nice it looked.
My card base is white and I found a
 sheet of patterned scrapbook paper
for my backing.
I heat embossed my image from Docrafts
with white embossing powder and that is when
I thought a bit of colour (pink tom bow pen)
to those flowers would look nice.
My sentiment - is from
Repeat Impressions Beautiful Days
The stitching is from a sheet of rub ons
I have had for an eternity.
Did think of getting my sewing machine out
but this was easier lol
I adhered the vellum with a touch of glossy accents.

After making this card I believe Mo & Jo
returned from where they had been hiding.

Thanks so much for dropping in again -
2 post in the one morning.
Wanted to get them uploaded before the challenge closes
so I am off the get out of my pyjamas
and into town for my flu shot. Winter will be
with us here in Australia soon.

Having Another Go.

As I said in my precious post I made another card for
the current challenge at The House that Stamps Built

 may16cc

I found some really bright pink card stock to use as my  base
and topped it with the green.
It didn't photograph well as the ribbon is
hot pink also.
I cut my image - RI Beautiful Days
into 4 pieces inked in SU Melon Mambo
 and placed them on to
my green tag which is from Sizzix.
I wanted the image to stand out hence no colouring.
Added a few gems ribbon and
Sentiment is cut from a Cheery Lynn die.

Thanks for dropping by

It's the Colour Challenge at the House!

It's time to play with the current challenge over at
and it is their Colour Challenge.
Believe it or not but I had a hard time with this one -
Mo and Jo seem to be off somewhere.
I must say this card was so close to
going in the bin but sometimes what we
don't think good enough others do so....

Details Here
There isn't too much green here
because of the image I used.
It is RI 4314K Flowering Vine
which was stamped several times.
This card is a bit cas with a bit of stamping
colouring and embossing.
Finishing with a simple sentiment.
and some green pearls.

I decided to make another card
in these colours even though my
mojo is still lost and will
post when finished before the challenge closes.
