It's Colour Week at JUGS

Hello and Welcome.
It's Saturday and time for the latest challenge at
It's our Colour Week and Hosting is Lisa.

I hope you aren't getting sick of seeing
Lindy's Magicals but again they were perfect
here for smooching my background.
I then cut out a large Spellbinder Circle to
act as a frame for the Kaisercraft Daisy
which was cut from mulberry paper, adding
a second head to the bottom to act as grass.
Applied some Liquid Pearls to the centres.
Sentiment is from Impression Obsession on white card stock.
Simply finished by attaching to purple card base.

Head over to Our Blog to see what
our Guest Linda and the Gang have created
and come join us.
Hope to see you there.
Thanks for dropping in

Updated - Tribute to Melissa Lane.

#UPDATE
There was a mishap with my earlier posting with
the absence of the card I made for Melissa's Tribute.
Photo is below. So Sorry!

It saddens me to be posting here today at the passing of a
Fellow Designer Melissa Lane from STAMPlorations
but happy to celebrate her life in a small way.

Melissa love Butterflies and Rainbows and
her favourite colour was Red
so I chose to heat emboss my card with
in Ranger Red Cinnabar which has a lovely
gold fleck though it.

I started by lightly smooching the background with
Lindy's Magical's in Ramblin' Rose Pink
and a flicker of  ColorBox Gold.
I then coloured my butterflies with a mix of Brusho's
 Magical's and Nuvo Glitter Gloss
for a touch of shimmer.
My sentiment is from
This was cut from a stitched die and adhered on to
Metallic Gold card base.

If you knew Melissa when she was alive -- maybe you were on the same design team(s) or you were bloggy friends -- however you knew her, we would love it if you can join us in celebrating her life by creating a butterfly card in her memory.
Please pop over Here where you will see all the details
and so many beautiful butterflies made in Melissa's Memory

A Simple 'Thank You'

Hello and Welcome. Today's post is for our
CAS Challenge over at Addicted to Stamps & More

I bought this stamp set from Kaisercraft
some time ago because I liked what I thought -
a very Australian image of Gumnuts.
I started by lightly stenciling my background with
Tim's Stone Stencil in Antique Linen
then inking my image with
Versafine Clair Falling Leaves ink
(it's a very dark brown but looks black)
I went on to the colouring and blending with
Tim's Gathered Twigs/Mowed Lawn
Crushed Olive and Carved Pumpkin
enhancing the colour with touches of
Hag's Wart Orange and Canna Lilly Burnt Orange
 from Lindy's Magicals.
Added some Nuvo Aqua Shimmer and
a touch of glossy accents.
Sentiment is inked as above and from
49AND MARKET.
This was cut from a Postage Die
and popped on to the larger die cut
and slightly popped again to my card base.

This card will be going over to the

Congratulation to Bonnie & Loll for giving us
2 years of Fabulous Watercolour Challenges
and to all the Design Team and Guests for their
Monthly Inspiration and Encouragement.

Thanks for dropping in.
Love reading your comments.

A Happy Birthday Tic Tac Toe

Hi and Welcome to today's post.
It's for the current Tic Tac Toe Challenge  at
Retro Rubber where we get to play with stamps
older than a year.
For my Tic Tac Toe I chose the Middle Line
Masking Birthday Flowers.

RRCB 97

It's funny how your mind works.
I was happily stamping/cutting away yesterday
making my card for this challenge and ready to
photograph it and when I woke up this morning
I realized I had used the same Spellbinder dies
on the last challenge I made for Retro Rubber!
I had better not do that next time.
I thought of making another one wondering if
the Designers would think this girl only has 2 Dies.
Since time is of the essence I had to go with it.
Sorry it is so similar to my last one.

The stamp I used is another retired SU set
called Avant Garden which
I have finally used for the first time.
I cut out a mask for the flower and then inked
in 3 different colours from the Altenew
Red Cosmos set. The leaves were inked with
Memento Olive Grove and Pistachio.
Sentiment in Memento Luxe Northern Pine.
This was then cut with a SB circle die
and attached to the lacy circle die.
I backed that with a Cuttlebug folder
and corner rounded it.
Adhered to green card stock adding some ribbon
to match the flowers and on the white card base to finish.

Thanks so much for dropping in.

Just for 'CAS Mix Up Challenge'

Hello and Welcome to today's post for
one of my favourite challenges
CAS Mix Up and this month's technique is
This is my second card and chose to
try my hand at Black Ice - one I only found
some short time ago so I wanted to have fun
with it in a different way and see how it ends up.

I did start with gold foil as my base
but you would never know.
The next step was to swipe with
Black Archival Ink and dry.
I then went on to dry emboss, ink again
and then added gold and copper embossing powder
finishing with Ranger Red Cinnabar.
Sealed it with clear embossing powder.
Added a tiny gold frame behind it.
Sentiment is from Happy Little Stampers
inked with Tim's Black Soot and
the edges with Colorbox Archival Gold.
Attached to coloured card base to finish.
If you are a little confused by my explanation
check out how I got the idea Here
I did go a little overboard but it was fun.

A close up

I hope I have left enough open space.
My MIX is Metal, Heat and Dry Embossing
and Stamping

Thanks for dropping in
Till next time - Cherrio from
