'Hello'

The New Challenge over at Color Hues
is live and looking for Black and Yellow
I saw a card similar to what I made over on Pinterest
and it is perfect for the CAS Mix Up Challenge
(Welcome back)

You all know how much I love my stencils and
Lindy's Magical's so these two challenges
just made for some fun play time.
Lots of die cutting as I didn't know which ones I would use.
(I have leftovers)
My yellow background is Lindy's Yellow Rose of Texas,
Stencil is AALL&Create Cracked Walls 1 #37
through Ranger Opaque Crackle Texture Paste.
Added itty bits of washi tape Cut Tear Layer #9
and a touch of Tim's Speckles in the corner.
Simple sentiment from STAMPlorations,
inking the edges as I did before adhering
to white card base.
* My CAS Mix is Smooching,Texture Paste, Stencilling,
Die Cuts, Washi Tape, Stamping.
* Black & Yellow colours for Color Hues
Thanks for popping in and checking my card out.

Some Creative Fun

It's Just Us Girls Word Week
Host Lisa E has chosen PAINTBRUSH
for something very different.
With a New Month we welcome our Guest Lucie G
who will be sharing her talents with us.
Welcome Lucie.

When I saw Lisa's choice of  WORD it got my
mixed media juices flowing.
The paintbrushes are from AALL&Create #38.
My background came out of my bits box
inked with Tim's Oxide Inks.
It was a quick make with lots and lots and lots of stamping from
AALL&Create, That's Crafty and Visible Image
doing all the work.
Inked the edges and adhered to card base.
You would all know how much fun I had here!
Now head over and see how our June Guest Lucie
and the Team used our 'Word'.
You are going to love their creativity.
Come join us and you could be chosen
Chic of the Week and in the running for a Guest Spot.
Thanks for visiting and commenting.

Love Me a THISTLE!

It's time for our New Anything Goes Mixed Media Challenge at

This piece came about after I was watching
the Talented Tracy Evans use her
AALL&Create Thistle #334.
I had only just recently purchased mine
so decided to ink it up.
The background is done on the gel press
and after a long hiatus I needed lots of practice.
I eventually got three then inked my thistle.

I landed up using the middle one.
I found after watching Tracy that the best stamp pad
to use is VersaFine Clair. Lucky I have a few.

I then did some random inking, some
crackle stencilling (as I do) and strips of washi tape -
 also from AALL& Create.
I am so glad we have a store here in Oz that sells
these amazing products.
Inked a ring around the thistle, added some
heather flower soft to part of it and
found the lovely wool to add a nice touch.

Lightly inked the edges and a bit of distressing.
I found the lovely soft green pearlized card stock
that blended nicely and attached to finish.

Head over to our Blog and check out what my
Fabulous Talented Team Mates created this month.
We would love to see yours in our Gallery.
You just need multiple mediums to join in the fun.

Thanks for dropping in for a visit. Love reading your comments.

Just 'Thinking of You'

I came across a 'new to me' challenge just yesterday
to use frames. Here is my make.

There are so many ways to incorporate a frame
in your card and I chose a Sizzix 663423 die that
has the tiniest of frames. I cut out two in grey
and used the inside of one as a backing
I first embossed the main background with a
leaf folder from Kaisercraft then built it up with
floral dies coloured with Tim's
Kitsch Flamingo and Saltwater Taffy Oxides
a sprinkle of Lindy's Oom Pah Pah Pink
and a leafy vellum die cut.
Finished with a die cut sentiment from Crafts4U
with the leftover ink and attached to
white card base.
That's it for today. Thanks for visiting.
