Hello! Birthday Girl

It's WORD WEEK at Just Us Girls
and Sharyn is Hosting choosing
BUTTERFLY for this weeks challenge.

Now don't we all LOVE them and have
countless stamps/dies to boot.
My beautiful butterfly stamp was given to me by a friend
who used to work at an op shop and would save items
she thought I would use so I do not know the maker (shame)
I heat embossed it in white and then went about getting messy
making my background using -
Tim Holtz Peacock Feathers
SU Rich Razzleberry &
Memento Potter's Clay.
I cut out a few Hello dies from Lawn Fawn
adhering it slightly off the paper for effect.
The Birthday Girl sentiment is heat embossed
and from Inspired by Stamping.
I spritzed the image with Iridescent Medium
but is only showing up lightly.
Finished with some scattered bling.
I really enjoy the emboss resist technique
and made that beautiful butterfly stamp pop.

Have you popped over to see what our
May Guest Designer - Aileen has made -
not to forget my amazingly talented
team Mates beautiful work?

I am sure you will want to participate in this challenge
so will be looking out to see I am sure a wide variety
of beautiful butterfly creation.
You could be the Chic of the Week and
be in the running as our next Guest.
Go for it and Craft On.

A Bicycle Built for You

There's a few challenges looking for bicycles/vehicles this week

so I got out one of my favourite SU stamps
Postage Due for the bicylce and decided to go cas this time
using Kraft as my base.
Picked out some coloured paper to match
the DP which is from Kaiserscraft.
I inked my image and sentiment
with SU Close to Cocoa.
Randomly stamped some circles also from
SU - Beyond the Basics.
Ribbon is SU.

I am participating in the Vehicle Challenge at

And the Bicycle Challenge Here.

Thanks for dropping by today.
Hope you like what you saw as I
would love to read your thoughts.

Just Adding Ink - Just for You!

I love entering challenges with colours
or inspirational photos and

Just Add Ink have a beautiful one
I thought I would put ink to.

JAI #309-Inspiration

I was going to used a Chevron Stencil
for my card but decided to use
Memory Box  - Texture Waive
in it's place. I think it marries better with
the butterfly.
Other products I used are -
Coloured card stock
Spellbinders Butterfly
(Two dies for different results)
For my waive colours I inked up
Memento Angel Pink
SU Calypso Coral &
Tim Holtz Peacock Feathers.
Gemstones
Cut outs from
the butterfly dies for the trail.
Foam squares for dimension.
Sentiment is from Inspired by Stamping.

Thanks for dropping by today.
I love reading your comments.
Till next time...

It's TARTAN for Me

I was super excited when I saw the latest challenge over at
'cause you have to make a cas card with Plaid

Now to me being a Scot - it is Tartan
and what better stamp to use was the
very appropriate Thistle I bought while holidaying in my
Homeland of Scotland.
My bff bought the tartan paper I used for my background
while she was in London and I love it to bits.
It is from Boofle.
I stamped my image with Memento Pistachio
and cut it out with Spellbnders Floral Ovals
then inked the edges.
I added a touch of yellow to  the flower
and enhanced the thistle also with a bit of colour.
The top of the thistle has a generous amount of
Heather coloured Flower soft.
My sentiment is a die cut from Spellbinders.
Finishing off with a cotton bow.

This really was a simple and quick card.
I will send it on to my niece for
her birthday as she was with me
when we visited Bonny Scotland.

Thanks for dropping in

Sweet Birthday Wishes!

We're going all Feminine at Crafty Cardmakers this time.
Bec is Hosting and chosen Pearls/Gems
How fabulous is that!

Here are the products I used
Coloured card stock as my base.
Iridescent card stock
Designer paper is from
 First Edition - Desert Blooms
Spellbinder Dies - Opulant Ovals
Flourish
Antique Frames & Accents
Flowers are cut from scrap DP
using Marianne DieMS Leaves/Sprigs
Sentiment is from Inspired by Stamping
Kaisercraft Pearls.

I think this turned out rather pretty and feminine.
Pop over and see what the other Designers created
and hope you get the chance to play with us this time round.
It doesn't have to be a card BUT
be sure you don't enter your project
in ANY MORE THAN 15 which includes ours.

Thanks for dropping in

A Simple Thank You

I am participating in the current Colour Challenge over at

Aren't they such simple but stunning
colour combination.
Here is how my card came together -
I used basic card stock colours as above.
I inked my SU Woodgrain stamp in
Memento Paris Dusk and cut out part
of a Spellbinder Circle die to
display my flowers.
I used one of my favourite SU stamp sets/punch
Petite Petals (again Thanks Maria)
These were punched out after I inked them with
Memento Paris Dusk and a combination of
SU Yo Yo Yellow & Memento Peanut Brittle
to try and get the mustardy colour.
Behind my floral spray are leaves cut from
a Sizzix die. These were embossed with
that Cuttlebug favourite - Swiss Dots.
Added a few tiny flowers dotted with liquid pearls
and some punched circles to add a bit of interest to the
woodgrain background.
My sentiment is from SU and cut from an
EK Success double punch.
Finished with a gemstone on one of the flowers.
I would also like to enter this in the current Colour Challenge
over at Fashionable Stamping as their colour choice
is also the same.

Thanks for dropping by.
I love reading your Comments
and appreciate you taking time to do so.
