'Celebrate' with Me.

Time to Celebrate at Just Us Girls
It's a New Month with a New Guest Designer
Welcome to the Super Talented Julie Beech from
https://handcraftedbyjules.blogspot.com/
So happy to have you with us this month!
AND
it's my Birth Month - hence I chose the Word
CELEBRATE! as I am Hosting this week.

This card was made a few months ago
for my Sister's Birthday.
I have seen so many gorgeous cards on Pinterest
with this die - MB Perky Poppy and I knew I wanted
to try it out.
I started with inking my craft mat with
Tim's Oxide Inks in Wilted Violet and Seedless Preserves
on to glossy card stock. Of course I had to have purple tones.
Continued layering and drying
then buffed with paper towel and added Tim's Distress Glaze.
I first cut the poppy out with black card stock and then
again with the three different colours above
to get the ombre effect.
Added a mat behind it in purple
then adhered to Linen card stock.
The 'Celebrate' die is from CUTplorations
cut from leftovers from the flowers.
Finished off with a few purple gems.

Pop over and see how our Guest Julie
and the Team are celebrating.
Please come join us in our Gallery
as I would love to see your 'Celebrate Cards'.
You could be my Chic of the Week and be in the running
as our Guest in November.

Thanks for popping in.
Love reading your comments!

Spring has 'Sprung' in Oz

It's official! It's the 1st September which means
It's SPRING!
Well it is here in Australia. We hopefully say
Goodbye to those Wintery Days and I can get back out to
my very dreary garden and do a tidy up.

Hello and Welcome.
My post  is for the new challenge over at
Crafting with Dragonflies where the theme is
Spring has Sprung!

There are a few new items here beginning with the
beautiful Darling Dog Roses from STAMPlorations.
I heat embossed with white embossing powder then
decided to colour them with Tim's Distress Inks in
Abandoned Coral/Carved Pumpkin and Mowed Lawn.
I got a paintbrush out and flicked some colour to the sides.
The sentiment is also from STAMPlorations -  Bloom Happy.
This was cut from a stitched die.
The background paper is SU.
I recently watched a video with Jennifer McGuire
and she used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Borders
as a background. These were then purchased
and I did likewise adding a bit of interest.

Pop over and see what the Dragonfly Team
made to inspire you.
Hope to see your in the Gallery.

I will be back again later with another Blog Post
so be sure to come back and check it out.
A lot of you will know what it is as it's Saturday!

Till then Cherrio from

Butterfly Bliss

Welcome to a new month of challenges over at
Happy Little Stampers.
We start off with our Watercolour Challenge
and this month's optional twist is
(you're going to love this one)
BUTTERFLY.

There was a lot going on in making this card.
I was trying out some new products and
loved the result I achieved.
Starting with my background which has
Red Wine Metallic Paint and Black Starlight Wax
and has a fabulous sheen to it.
Added some random script. Then heat embossed
my butterfly in charcoal.
Cut that out with a Postage Die
backing it with paper to match.
Sentiment is also from the same paper and is
from CUTplorations.
Added an oval gem to the centre of my butterfly
and finished by adding to my card base.

And don't forget -
Our winner for this challenge will receive a $20 coupon
 to spend at the shop!
Check out all the details HERE.

IF YOU USE STAMPS BY HAPPY LITTLE STAMPERS
AND YOU ARE OUR RANDOM WINNER,
YOUR PRIZE WILL BE DOUBLED!

Pop over and see what my Team Mates created and come join us.
Love to see you in our Gallery
Thanks for dropping in.

You're My Style

Hello and Welcome.
Today I have a card for the Retro Rubber Challenge.
I found this great blog a few weeks ago where you
need to use a stamp that is more than a year old.
Now we all have zillions that are tucked away
and just a little bit dusty don't we?
I know a lot of my friends will recognize this stamp.
It's from Gina K Designs - Springtime Silhouettes
and was one of the first stamp sets I bought
way back around 2011.
It was such fun looking through those old stamps
to choose which one to use for their current
RRCB 94
I also decided to use some older Spellbinder Dies
Squares/Lacey Squares and Fancy Tags for the sentiment.
Those fancy shoes were heat embossed in white
on black card stock.
Then I added the backgrounds.
Finished with some ribbon behind my sentiment,
a few liquid pearls and a pink flower to the shoes.

That's it for now.
Thanks for dropping in.
Till next time Cherrio from
