The Sun is Shining over at Just Us Girls

It's Saturday so Hi and 

Welcome to today's post for Just Us Girls

Our Host for our Photo Week is Nancy

who is certainly thinking of 'Sun'

with this gorgeous Sunflower Bloom.

I was undecided as to stamp or use a die cut

for my sunflower but decided on a die and to

make my sunflower a little different.

I cut several flowers and simply cut them in half.

First off  I stenciled my Tim Holtz Stone background

with Gel Medium and Magicals in Burnt Orange

then quickly added Ranger Copper Embossing

and heat set it adding another texture onto white cs.

I then cut out some green flourishes.

Attached my sunflowers then added 

MS Brownstone Glitter to the popped embossed centres.

My STAMPlorations sentiment

 is inked with VersaColor Bronze.

Finishing with a yellow cotton bow.

Papers used were SU Hello Honey/Mossy Meadow.

'Thinking of You' in Ombre Colours

Time for a New challenge over at

Crafting with Dragonflies and looking for

the Colour 'Purple'

Woohoo for me! It's my Favourite!

I'm Guesting again this time round.

We all know how hard it is to get 'purple'

to photograph in it's true colours. I did my best.

 Playing here by smooching with Tim's Oxide Inks in

Wilted Violet/Seedless Preserves

and Lindy's Magicals in Sweet Violoct Purple Teal

with some acetate drying as I go along.

Can you see the shimmer!

I lightly stamped a few of Tim's Wild Flowers

in the background with the above colours

then got out the matching dies cutting in

white and coloured cs to match my base.

My Thinking of You is from CUTplorations.

This was cut with a stitched die and adhered

to my card base.

I'm Holidaying in ...........

HI and Welcome.

It's Holiday Time over at 

Addicted to Stamps and More

Once more I went a different direction with my Holiday Card

focusing in on 'Being on a Holiday'

Vacation to my overseas friends!

It's getting close to the Queen's Birthday here in Australia

(sort of) so I thought I would go very British here.

The gorgeous big stamp is from JustRite

called London Background. I inked this with

Tim's Gathered Twigs. 

While in London you...

call home from one of the famous

red telephone booths don't you?

It's from SU Feeling Sentimental and

inked with Tim's Festive Berries - 

and you need to get in so you add a 

red pearl for the door knob.

This is set behind the popped background

which was cut from MFT's Peek a Boo Die.

 Hello is also from SU and cut

from another MFT die.

The From sentiment is by JustRite.

'Things with Wings' Reminder

Hi there Crafty Friends.

My post today is a Reminder that there is still time

to join in the fun over at STAMPlorations

with our Thing with Wings in full swing.

Here is the card I made for our Reminder.

I have only recently indulged in Alcohol Inks
and I could spend countless hours just
playing with them.
I  used Yupo Paper and just inked away!
Because I was just experimenting I do not know
what colours I used.
However I do know the products I used and they are
CUTplorations-Curly-LabelsTags-Nesting-Dies
for my frame which was cut from metallic card stock.
My Butterfly was cut 3 times from
metallic paper and mulberry paper with the
CUTplorations -Flutter-Zen-2-Layering-Dies
and smooched with Magicals. You can see the
Result in the close up photo.

Sentiment was cut twice and glued
slightly apart for effect using the
CUTplorations-Life-Is-Good-Phrase-Die
Card base is from Bazzill.
Finished by adding some coloured cotton
and a gem to the centre of the butterfly.
