Hello 'Sunshine'

Hello and Welcome to my Saturday post for Just Us Girls
Hosting our Photo Week is Vicki and what a super fun one
for us to be inspired by.

The first thing that stood out were those 'cool' sunglasses.
Then the glorious sunshine - needed those glasses for sure!
Just by chance I recently purchased some spectacle dies
and my card started from there, cutting them in different colours.
I then went to the background with Tim's Rays Stencil
with blended oxide inks.
The middle sunglasses have yellow vellum inserted
and of course some 'bling' added.
Sentiment and die are from STAMPlorations.
Head over and see what our Guest Lucie
and the rest of the Talented Team had fun with.
We'd love to see yours in our Gallery
It's the last chance to be chosen as our Chic of the Week
for this month and be in the running as our Guest in August.
A Big Thank You Lucie for sharing your talents with us this month.
It has been lovely.
Thanks for visiting. I do love reading your comments.

From Me to You

Having a little play time keeping warm
while others across the waters are trying to stay cool.
Once again I am playing with the two challenges below.

and a close up

Floral image is from Rubbernecker
heat embossed in pearl blue -
coloured with various blues from
Lindy's, Perfect Pearls, LuminArte
and ColourBlast onto watercolour paper.
Background is simple stencilling with
Ranger Distress Grit Paste from an AALL&Create folder.
Sentiment is STAMPlorations..
I resisted adding some flicks of colour
beside the flower.

Sending this card over to
with my mix of
Stencil, Grit Paste, Heat Embossing,
Stamping, Paints, Powders.

Thanks for visiting.

A Thank You Bouquet

it is my turn to choose the Theme and is Layers!
You can go in any direction
be it dies (as I have)
designer papers layered or
even bits and bobs from your stash -
lace, buttons, pearls with the endless choices.
Go all out with a fancy shaped card even!

Here's a close up

There's lots going on here and I have used
quite a few supplies -
A mixture of Tim's Wildflower Stems,
Oxide Inks, Lindy's Magical's,
AALL&Create stencil, grit paste,
AA Wax, twine, a tiny tag and
did you wonder what those flowers were wrapped in?
It is a piece of paper that was wrapped around our
calamari and chips . As soon as I saw it
I unwrapped them quickly not to get any marks on it.
My Sistah's have made beautiful cards for your pleasure.
Head over and check them out and leave some love.
We all greatly appreciate you taking the time to do so.
Hope to see you add your layered card
to our Gallery.

Sending this over to Mixed Media Lovers
