Home is where the Key Fits

Welcome to a new month of challenges over at
Our Host for our Word Week is Bobby
Choosing Houses.
We have a new Guest too - Christine Perez
Welcome Christine.

The stamp from AALL&CREATE
and die from Moving Madness Creations
is from a recent visit to my craft shop and bought
with this challenge in mind.
I went clean and simple here multi stamping
my background houses with Memento London Fog.
The main two houses and lamp were heat embossed in black
and cut from a SB Circle die.
I then cut the backing from Uniquely Creative
Cross Stitch Nesting Arches.
I simply highlighted the lamp with a Gelly Roll pen
The Home key die was cut with orange card stock
and added texture with crackle glaze.
Both were popped on to the background.
Added orange card as a backing then attached to
black card base.
Finished with three tiny gold stars.

Pop over and see how Christine and the Design Team
chose to showcase their Houses and come join in
our Gallery. You could be our Chic of the Week
and be chosen as our Guest in June.
Thanks for popping in.
Comment are always appreciated.

Dream Time for Creative Artiste Mixed Media.

Hello and Welcome to  today's post for our
April Challenge over at the
where Anything Mixed Media Goes
as long as we use multi mediums.

My play time has been limited lately with
family celebrations and hubby's cataract surgery
so please excuse the lack of detail on how
my canvas was created. I was just playing around when I made
the background but came in handy for this months project.
I will do my best to mention the products I used.

Here's a few close ups

I was planning to try something new for this month's creation
but was not to be - so hopefully next time!

Products used -
Gesso, Art Alchemy Metallic Paints, Nuvo Shimmer Powders,
Stencil from ScrapFX,
Dream Catcher from Which Craft Do You Do,
SU Butterflies, Prima Marketing Art Stones
and flower (just a perfect match)
from my stash with a brad in the centre.

Will have a more detailed description with next month's project for

Thanks for dropping in.

I am participating in this fabulous event and here is
my first card -

My background was made with Tim's Oxide Inks in
Abandoned Coral, Salty Ocean,
Peeled Paint and Fossilized Amber.
I then cut my flowers from
to match the background
in a lighter shade for contrast.
Also cut out small flowers from the same die set
in various colours. Added pearls to the centres of the flowers.
The sentiment is from

While I had the Happy Everything stamp set out I made
another card with one of my favourite stamps - the
STAMPlorations Large French Marigold

It was heat embossed clear then coloured with
Pumpkin Fiesta, Hog's Wart Orange Magical's
and Nuvo Solar Flare Shimmer Powder.
The background was smooched with
Nuvo Solar Flare and Green Parade
The bottom half was inked with Tim's Oxide's in
Fossalized Amber, Peeled Paint and Salty Ocean.
I then stenciled on top with white texture paste
using ARTplorations Fairy Tale Forest
Sentiment was heat embossed with Lindy's Pumpkin Fiesta
from the above stamp set.
Finished with some gold thread behind the popped marigold
with tiny beads in the centre.
Here is a close up of the shimmer on the flower.

Celebrate Big for CUTplorations

Hello and Welcome to today's post for our

Here is my take on the Mood Board below.

I decided to concentrate on the bold bright colours here
with some Alcohol Inks on Yuppo paper.
After I was happy with the result I cut it
in three parts and attached it to my white card base.
It's a pretty simple card finishing with
three layers of my
00preview-celebratebigCUT
with the third one heat embossed with
glitter embossing powder.

Pop over and see what my Team Mates created,
come play and add yours to our Gallery.
There is always awesome prizes to be won

What if Nothing Ever Changed?

Today is April Fool's Day but I'm not fooling you
'cause it really is the first of many Challenges each Month
 over at Happy Little Stampers
It is of course our Watercolour Challenge.

Here is what we are looking for this month
if you choose to do our Optional Twist.

My play time was very limited in March
so I rummaged through my 'Bits Box'
to find something watercoloured brightly
and found the piece I used above.
It has a mixture of my favourite products -
Brusho's, Magicals, Nuvo Shimmer Powders
and thrown on was some Art Alchemy Metallic Paints
and good old Inka Gold.
I added some script from Kaisercraft
then carefully tore it in 3 then adhered to
my white card base.
I went looking for a nice butterfly stamp
and found this one - an oldie but goodie from Gina K.
This was heat embossed and then coloured
with some of the above products and fussy cut.
Added a few drops of Nuvo Crystal Drops.
Before popping it I cut out a few small MB ringlet dies.
Finished with my STAMPlorations sentiment.

Pop over and see what my Team Mates created
and come join us this month in our Gallery.
Love to see you there.
Thanks for dropping in

UPDATE! We have a New Designer joining the Team
and it's the most amazingly talented colouring Artist -
 Gwendolyn Goh
A lot of you will have already seen her talents in Blogland
and I feel so lucky to again be working with her here.
A HUGE Welcome to the Team Gwendolyn.
