Jingle Bells Christmas Tag

I had a fun filled few hours recently getting some Christmas DP
out of hibernation and inky and a bit messy
with pastes and stenciling for a 'new to me'
Christmas Challenge - Christmas Craft Creations
They are asking for Tags or ATC's
for their May Challenge Theme.
As time is running out I decided to go with the 'tag' theme
but would loved to have gone all out with ATC's - another time.
This challenge opens another door of your creativity
with the fun of making something smaller than
our every day cards although you can add them
as an extra layer on your card.
I decided to go with the DP for my first tag

and a close up to show off the die

I like making a double tag as it gives you more impact
with designer papers.
I used Echo Park I Love Christmas to cut out
my Sizzix Fancy Tags.
The hardest part was the placing of
Tim's Holiday Greens. in various colours.
Some were heat embossed with
Zing Brown Sugar and Ranger Red Cinnabar.
So thankful I have Glad Press & Seal
to hold them all in place while I glued them down.
This is where I made a mistake as I meant to add them to the
back frame with the Christmas Music - oops!
It worked out well as I decided to have a shadow effect
on my ARTplorations Jingle Bells die.
The front one was cut from the same music paper
and inked with Tim's Frayed Burlap as is the back tag.
This helped to show off the die nicely.
Added some ribbon and mini bells to finish.

I have another few in the making
(one with the pastes and stenciling)
and hope to get that one finished
and show it off in the next few days.

Also found another new Christmas Challenge

so popping my tag over there.

That's Christmas for now - till the next one
Thanks for coming by.

'Wild' about Spots or Dots at Just Us Girls

We are going for Spots or Dots this week at Just Us Girls
for our Wild Card Week, chosen by our Host Angie.
Our eyes will never be the same!

I was planning to do a Bokeh card but somehow
I changed my mind after finding a few
interesting dotty stamps tucked away.
Inked up my dots with Distress Oxide colours
then decided to add a bit of texture
with stenciling with white crackle paste.
After searching through my stamps I couldn't find one
that suited so got out Tim's Small Talk Words
adding ones that I thought suited.
Attached to SU card base.
Pop over and see how Jacinda and the Team
went dotty and come play with this weeks
fun challenge.
You could be our Chic of the Week
and be a future Guest with us.
Thanks for visiting.

Thinking of You!

It's Wednesday and the day our New Challenge at
Darlene has chosen the 'Theme'
Flowers as the Focus.

I chose to do something I have wanted to try for ages -
Use Lindy's Moon Shadow and Starburst Mists
onto black paper.
I heat embossed the Full of Glee stamp by Penny Black.
The colours are a little darker than I wanted but still
really happy with the result - so shimmery!
The background was also sprayed with Lindy's.
Die cut  my flower from MFT and matted with gold paper.
Sentiment die using the same paper from Crafts4U.
Finished by attaching to black card base.
I'm sure we are going to have so many
beautiful floral cards in our Gallery this month.
Be sure to check out what my Sistah's made
before you head off to make yours.

Merry Christmas Deer

Welcome to today's post for the
Our Challenge is always Anything Goes making it easy to
make your own choice of Christmas Card.
Those that know me can relate to my latest card
using Brusho's Magical's and Nuvo Powders.

Background die cut trees and sentiment
are from the above powders.
Other trees are white card stock and gold paper as is my deer.
The snow is made from grit paste, acrylic paint and Crystal Snow
Punched some gold stars and added some splatters
then inked the edges with matching green ink
 adhering to white card base.
That's it from me this time round.
Pop over and check what my Team Mates
created and get those Christmas Goodies out
and add yours to the Gallery.
Love to see you there.
Be back again in a few weeks with another
Chrissie card for you.
Thanks for dropping in and
I love reading your comments so don't forget
 to leave one for me.
