Delight in the Little Things

Hello Crafty Ones - today's post is all about
'A Word' because it is
at Just Us Girls and choosing
our word 'Light' is Host - Sue.

I'd like to welcome our October Guest
The Very Talented  Karola from Invisible Pink Cards.
Nice to have you share your work with us this month.

I chose the sentiment
'Delight in the little things' from
taking just the 'light' from Delight!
for my inspiration.
My cup has been heat embossed onto
coloured cas and features behind it
as assortment of grunge from
STAMPlorations Mixed Media Grunge
and a few flowers also from STAMPlorations
inked up with SU Rich Razzleberry
Memento London Fog & Lulu Lavender.
This was cut with a stitched die and adhered to my card base.
I fussy cut my tea cup and popped it.
Added my sentiment and a few gems.
Inside I have inked up
Good things always happen over a
cup of tea.
from the same stamp set.
Now I think it's time for
THAT cup of tea.

Thanks for popping in.
Don't forget to check out what our
October Guest Karola
and the Team have created.
Come join in and you could be our Chic of the Week
and in the running to be a future Guest.

The Most Wonderful Time...

G'Day Craft Friends - today's post is for our
New Christmas Challenge over at Happy Little Stampers
This time round the Optional Twist is Silhouette!

My card above is predominately using products you can
find (or win) over At Our Shop.
I recently bought more Brusho's to calm my addiction
and couldn't go past the
which I knew was perfect to team together.
Now our Fabulous Leader Kylie has a video on a
Brusho background Here.
I loved the effect she achieved and tried to copy the result.
I think I did okay!
I heat embossed the poinsettia flower on top of the Brusho's
then did another smooching it adding some shimmer
with my Nuvo Pen then fussy cut and popped it.
Added the stitched circle of gold from MFT .
The sentiment and tiny star are also heat embossed.
Card base is Metallic Gold. It's been a while since I have
made a traditional coloured Christmas card
so you will enjoy the change.
You see Christmas here in 'The Land Down Under' is HOT!
so cool colours are my go to!
We eat copious amounts of seafood and I love
to finish off with Pavlova! No Christmas Pudding for me.
Of course there is the chilled wine to go with it.
Sorry - got carried away here thinking of summer!

Don't forget -
Our winner for this challenge will receive a $20 coupon to spend at the shop!
Check out all the details HERE

Here are the products I used.
Brusho - Brilliant RedChristmas Joy

Thanks for peeking in today.
Of course you are now going to head off to see what my
Team Mates created aren't you?
Then off to play with us for our October Christmas Challenge.
Hope to see you there.
PS Love reading your comment too!

It's CAS Watercolour 'Fall' Leaves

I have been in somewhat of a get those Christmas Cards
made earlier this year mode
but thought I needed a change and the
new challenge over at CAS Water Colour did just that.
As soon as I saw this
I knew exactly what I wanted to make.
Because it is a cas challenge I used just one leaf.
It was cut from an old Cuttlebug Leaf Die
then added Autumn Gilding Flakes
#Hint Cut your die out using jac paper
then peal off one layer and add
your flakes. No glue to get your fingers
covered in those flakes.
I am so glad I tried this. Guess I will use those flakes
a bit more often now. They make that leaf look fabulous.
The background is simply swiped with a wet paint brush
using TH Distress Inks on canvas paper.
Added a touch of Inka Gold using Karen Dunbrook's
credit card swipe technique. Thanks Karen.
Distressed and inked the edges.
Sentiment is from Happy Little Stampers
Thinking of You heat embossed with
 Wow Metallic Platinum.
Finished with a few pearls.
I have another leaf cut out and flaked
(no sense just cutting one) so
that's for another day.

Congratulations on celebrating your 1st Birthday
Loll Bonnie and the Talented Designers.

Going to pop this over to the
where the Optional Twist is Gold.

#Update I see my card qualifies for the
Colour Me Fall Challenge over at
The Mod Squad so I am now dropping it over there.

Thanks so much for popping in today.
Love reading your thoughts!
Till next time - Cherrio

We're back at STAMPlorations with some 'EXCITING NEWS'

Today is the DAY that I get to tell all my
Crafty Friends that I have been invited to join
all the Talented Designer at STAMPlorations.
You will remember I was a Guest for the CAS Challenges
way back earlier in the year and been Guesting
 on several occasions since.
See Here for the most recent.
You can imagine how Excited! I was
as this is my Favourite Stamp Company and to be part of
the Talented Team is like a dream come true.

# UPDATE! The secret is out -  Shery (Owner of STAMPlorations)
announced the Current Design Team a few days ago Here
***
So without further ado here is the CUTplorations Inspiration Photo
 for our First Challenge back.

What caught your eye?
I chose to hone in on the word
HOME.
I thought a Christmas card would be a good idea
so I got out my STAMPlorations Supplies and
away I went.
My card base is a metallic paper.
The background sponged with
SU Rich Razzleberry and
Tim Holtz Stormy Sky.
The House is from STAMPlorations Houses - The Bee's Knees
heat embossed in white,
inked in SU Rich Razzleberry
and fussy cut - came out a little dark in the photo.
I cut another piece of card stock from the
CUTplorations Double Running Stitched Die
and the CUTplorations Nesting Dies
for my snowy background.
I know it doesn't snow here at Christmas time
but it does  'Somewhere' so I added white acrylic paint
splats to the background and the house which is popped.
Sentiment is STAMPlorations Merry
inked again with SU Rich Razzleberry.
Added some gems to finish.

You're Not as Old As.......

Hello Crafty Ones!
Today's post is for the latest Anything Goes Challenge
over at Mix It Up and we are
Water Colouring this month
as our Optional Twist.

I had so  many ideas floating through my head I didn't know
if I was Arthur or Martha!
I finally decided to play with a few of my oxide inks
and this is what transpired.
I used TH Fossilized Amber (and in distress)
 Gathered Twigs and Vintage Photo.
Card stock is SU
inked in TH Distress Vintage Photo
I though it looked rather bare so added some
a bit of spritzing with TH Antique Bronze Spray
and the perfect sentiment
I'm thinking this will be perfect for my Brother in Law's Birthday.

Hope you liked my creation and
Thanks for popping in.
Don't forget to pop over and see what
my Team Mates created.
Love to see you over at Mix It Up this month.
