Happy Mother's Day at SAS4Kids Challenge #76

Our Latest Challenge over at Send a Smile 4 Kids is to
make a card from the kids for Mother's Day.

In my haste to get my blog schedules ready ahead of time
because I am away from home due to hubby
 having a hip replacement -
I missed this one so please excuse me if I miss something out.

My first card is from Doodle Pantry
and again I chose a pre coloured digi.
I loved this Poppy image and just added Dimensional Magic
to one of the flowers as a feature.
Also used the Doodle Pantry paper.
Embossing folder as a backing
Sentiment is computer generated.

My second card is an image from A Day for Daisies
I have used coloured and white card stock
Butterfly embossing folder
Spellbinder Dies
Own ribbon and computer generated sentiment.
Again I apologise for the lack of information on
products I used.

Our sponsor's are
Doodle Pantry - $10 Gift Certificate
A Day for Daisies - $12 Gift Certificate

We're thinking EASTER for Challenge #23 at Crafting with Dragonflies

Easter is coming around fast and as we have seen
Hot Cross Buns in the Supermarket since
can you believe just after Christmas?
So for this special occasion we thought it perfect to

Challenge you to make your Easter cards/Anything.

We have 2 great sponsors for you and they are

SQUIGGLEFLY - with 3 images for the Winner
and

BUGABOO with 7 images for the Winner

With 2 generous sponsors for this challenges
you will see some of the Design Team have made 2 cards.

Here are mine

I used a Squigglefly image for this one
hand cut and paper pieced several glittered eggs
to fill my basket which is from Marianne Designs CR1208
I cut my base card from Spellbinders Scalloped Ovals
Topped with Spellbinders Ovals
Added a variety of punched and glittered flowers with a few sprigs
from a MS punch.

This time I used a Bugaboo Image - Egg Peekers
Aren't they delightful?
I decided to do something a little different by putting the image
on the inside and topping the white card base
with DP and cutting it out.
Added Spellbinder circles around the
inside image and also the front.
I again paper pieced but just the egg and added Kindy Glitz
to the dots on the Easter Egg.
Added a little ribbon bow from Flourish with Bling
some punched out flowers and
added the Kindy Glitz to the centres.
Sentiment is from Inspired by Stamping All Year Wishes 2
and cut out with Just Rite Antique Tags.

Hop on over to the other Design Team Members
to see what lovely Easter Inspiration they have made.

Hope you all have a Great Easter Break.

till next time Cherrio from

our theme is BABIES, so what do Babies have related to NUMBERS?

There may be a small amount of poetry in there.......
.but I am sure you will be able to work that all out!
You collect a word or maybe a whole phrase from each blog
along the hop and you need to make sure that
1 - You leave a comment on that blog to be eligible for the Blog Prize
2 - You DON'T mention the word/phrase in your comment

Once you have completed your hop send an email to me (Susan)
here with the assembled clues

about BABIES related to NUMBERS!
Please put Baby blog Hop in the subject line.
Leave a comment on this blog as well as entering
your own Baby themed project into the Challenge below

But before you finish hopping here is my card for this challenge.

Isn't it such a 'dreamy' image from Meljen's

I had the base card with the cute prams left over from
a class I did last year at a Craft Convention.
Just knew it would come in handy one day...
It is a lovely cream colour and decided to add blue for colour.
I cut up a flourish which was supplied by
Flourish with a Bling - Thank you
which I lightly coloured to match the blue
(and just happens to be from my winner's prize)
Cut 2 different coloured DP from Spellbinder's Lacey Circles
and the digi from Spellbinder's Circles.
Added Startdust Stickles to part of the image
Coloured the hat and pants in 2 different shades of yellow
and finished that off with glossy accents.
Added a little bit of blue paper to the inside
to show off the pram border on the front.
Punched out and glittered 3 stars and added
yellow pearls to the flourish.

I know most of you will be Mother's and know that feeling when our tummies
start to  grow and grow and GROW
and we start getting uncomfortable and can't wait
for that bundle of joy to come into the world.
Our lives are never the same again.

Here are my 2 bundles of joy that came from my grow - ing tummy.

Now that you have no doubt finished your coffee and cake -
or did you sneak away for another?
Maybe you did that from the start as I am at the rear end of the hop...
I hope that we have inspired you with all the baby talk cards and photos
to send you goo goo and off to create
some sort of baby project of your own.
Sure hope so.

If by chance you didn't start at the beginning of the hop please
do so in the order of the hop below.

I have made my card for a special friend's birthday and had to get it posted quickly as

with the thread stamp to cover the background
I then inked that with distress ink added lace
flowers from IBS and a hand made flower by
Die-namics - Mini Hybrid Heirloom Rose.
and
Spellbinder flourish

It's all about the MUSIC

This week over at The Outlawz
the colour challenge is a great one.

 You can find details HERE
Now I am from this great era and my idols as a teenager
were THE BEATLES. My favourite was PAUL
I loved the inspiration photo that Laurian put up for us
who chose the colours and twist.

This is what I came up with

I must admit I got my fingers in a very inky state but had
a lot of fun putting it together.
I started off with black card stock and topped it with
an emboss resist technique
with a CB embossing folder.
I distressed the edges and added some twine.
Now this is where I got inky after I stamped
my guitar from Inspired by Stamping using various distress inks
I tore the inked edges and attached to my card.
The back has a small bit of mesh which I also inked.
Cut out a pick from the Guitar stamp set and attached it.
I finished off with colouring some Western Boots
which is a digi kindly supplied to the DT
by Roxann Suits from Outlawz.

I am also entering this card in the

'ALL BOY' challengeover at Cuttin & Stampin

Card 4 Guyz Challenge #7 - MUSIC - HERE

Anything Goes at - Tuesday Throwdown

Thanks for coming to check my latest work out.

Friends of Speedy TV Challenge 113 - Tissue Paper

I came across this fun challenge over at Friends of Speedy TV
and knew I had to make a card for it.
I love using paper napkins which to me is the
same as tissue paper so I got out my drawer full of ideas
and here is what I made.

It was super easy to make.
I started off with white card stock and inked it with a
texture waive stencil from Memory Box.
Added 2 coloured mats at the back.
The dolphin napkin has been scrunched up and then glued
to paper. I added a little glossy accents to the coral at the bottom
and to the dolphins eye. And that is all there is to it.

A super quickie for today.

Another JUGS card

Here I am with another card for the current
Inspiration Challenge over at

I love this Penny Black stamp and thought it time I
inked it up again. Suited the colour combination
especially with the pretty daffodil.

A very simple card with some scrapbooking paper
a bit of embossing with a CB folder and sentiment is from SU.
I embossed the lovely little hedgehog in black coloured his body
a bit and added glossy accents to the daffodil and his cheek.
The tiny butterfly is from Sizzix.

Thanks for popping in today. Hope to see you back again soon.

Just Doodle - ing Challenge #43

I love it when I can use coloured digi's on my cards
and the one I have chosen for the
current challenge over at Doodle Pantry
is their beautiful hydrangea.

Those that know me are aware that my favourite colour is purple
so what better colour to choose to show off this lovely flower.

I used the following -
white card base
Purple Haze DP
Spellbinders Circles/Lacey Circles
MS Hydrangea Punch for flowers
MS Lace
Liquid Pearls and gel pen on flowers
Sentiment is from Inspired by Stamping
Scoring

So there you have it.

A big thank you to Laurie from Doodle Pantry
for this beautiful coloured digi.

Use a Freebie Digi Image Challenge #20

Our latest challenge over at Crafting with Dragonflies
is to use a Free Digi on your card and
link it to where you got it from.

As I am not a avid digi collector I checked out
a favourite of mine -
 Digital Two for Tuesday
and went looking for something special.
There were so many gorgeous images there but I settled on one
and decided to leave it pretty much as it is
and just added a little glimmer and bling.
I CASed this card from something similar I saw on Pinterest -
changed the floral image and added shimmer, bling
and a different sentiment which is from GinaK.
The flourish is from Spellbinders.

Now it is your turn to use one of your favourite free digi's
and join in on our challenge.

As this is sponsor
our Dragonfly Leader Hilde
will be supplying a SURPRISE for the winner.
Don't forget to link it back to where it came from.
Also check out the other Dragonflies
to see what they created for you.

Hope to see it soon.

Time to use your Punches & or Die Cuts at SAS4Kids.

It's time to have some fun with your punches and/die cuts
 for the latest challenge at
We were supplied with some fabulous images
from our sponsors for this challenge.
They are -
The Cutting Cafe' and the Winner will receive
3 digi's or cutting files
Meljen's Designs - 4 non coloured images
Oak Pond Designs - 1 digi of the Winner's Choice
Both my cards were made from The Cutting Cafe' images.

I had loads of fun with these digi's above
and after colouring them and added Glossy Accents
had the painstaking task of cutting them out.
I started with a cream base and inked the side randomly
with a Kaisercraft Grunge stamp. I also cut out the piercing eyes
which were also touched up with glossy accents.
Added a small strip of dp and white paper torn and inked
to the back of 'The Monsters"
The sentiment is popped and die cut with a small part stamped
with the grunge stamp.
Finished with own crinkled ribbon.

For my second card that is full of sugar.
I have used white and aqua card stock topped with
free designer paper from a magazine -
perfect to go with this yummy cake.
My cake is popped and cut out from Spellbinders Blossom 3
after I added glossy accents and a coloured gel pen to the
cake plate. I cut the bottom part of the cake from
the same dp and iced the top with Star Dust and Pink Stickles.
Also went around the icing with a blue glitter pen.
Sentiment is from Inkadinkado  popped and cut out from
Justrite Antique Frames.
Own ribbon.

Thanks for popping in and please go and check the
lovely cards from my other SAS Team.

Hope you can join in the fun using all those dies or punches
we all need to keep buying.

Off to have some coffee and cake.
