Challenge #81 Animal Cards for Kids at SAS4Kids

Our challenge this time round for Send a Smile 4 Kids
is to make a card/cards with Animals.

I thought the perfect digi to use on this card from
Oak Pond Creations would be the gorgeous Love Kitty.
I was also really excited when I saw a favourite store of mine
was one of the generous sponsors for this challenge
and the accessories would work in beautifully together.
My niece is a cat lover and this card will be
purring it's way to her for her Birthday.
I will just have to add lots of padding so not to damage the flowers.

 Items used are -
White card stock
DP from Desert Blooms
Love Kitty was paper pieced
Cuttlebug Embossing Folder
Spellbinders Ovals/Small Ovals/Labels 8/Flourish
Kaisercraft Pearls

IBS Sentiment - Small Fancy Labels 1
A touch of Kindy Glitz on the Love Kitty

***

My second card is certainly a fabulous set
with so many different fabulous elements to choose from.

JUGS Inspiration Challenge #242

This weeks JUGS Challenge is an Inspiration one
and you can find the details  Here

I loved the touch of colour with the soft Tulips
and didn't add too much black
as I wanted the focus to be on the flower.
Hence just a touch as a backing
and a little butterfly and a few pearls.

This is my take on the lovely Inspiration Photo above.

I used gold metallic card stock
Black card stock
Cuttlebug Textile Embossing Folder
Marianne Die for the Flower Flourish
Gina K Vogue Vases was embossed with
 Aged Rose Embossing Enamel
from Stampendous and popped
Spellbinders Fancy Tags
Sentiment also from Gina K
Butterfly and Kaisercraft Pearls from stash.

I would also like to add this card to
to use die cuts and punches.

It's JUGS Colour Challenge Time - #241

This weeks challenge over at JUGS is a Colour One
which you can find  Here

and it just so happens that it is my FAVOURITE colour
and here is what I have made

Cards are hard to photograph sometimes and the true colours
don't always come up correctly. This is such a time.
Funny how the twine came out right but the rest look blue.
I can assure you it is Mauve - Orchid. I liked how the
frame turned out all grainy and that is because the
Kraft paper has raised lines through it.

I used the following items on my card -
Black card stock
Scrapbook paper for the backing of my Kraft paper
Kraft card stock
Spellbinder Labels 18
Frame from GinaK and heat embossed in white
Sentiment is from IBS - A Lovely Birthday
Trims from my stash
Kaisercraft Pearls
Marianne Die behind the Main Flower
Die-namincs die cut for Flowers
Variegated twine
I would like to enter this also in the following challenges

Thanks for stopping by
Cherrio for now

Challenge #46 at Doodle Pantry

As always over at Doodle Pantry their Monthly Challenge is Anything Goes.
The card below is for DPDC #46

I recently received this fabulous pre coloured set
of hydrangeas from Doodle Panty
and wanted to make something nice with them.
I used white card stock as my base and the floral backing
is from the set. I printed out various sized flowers in the
3 different colours and fussy cut them.
Added a little glitter with my gel pens and inked the edges
for an outline. I also scored the white card stock for a frame.
Inked a little stamping on the sentiment - also from this set
and finished the floral background
with some gold effects with Champagne Mist from Stampin' Up

Hope you like what I made today and until next time

Over at Just Us Girls it is the Technique Challenge
this time round and it is a

Finding the right stamps and inks was interesting.
It is a bit hard to see the kissing on the flowers as it is a very small
floral background stamp.

Get crackin' and make it for this Challenge.
You could send it/them over to some sick children
and make another for later on... They will be greatly appreciated.

Here is what I made for this challenge.

I so love pre coloured digi images and this cute guy is from
Fred She Said who is one of our generous sponsor's
who is giving the Winner a $10 Gift Certificate

I used the following on this card

Tim Holtz Embossing Folder
Cuttlebug Embossing folder

Added a dot of Dimensional Magic on the heart.

Our second sponsor is Stitchy Bear who is giving the Winner
3 Images to a $10 value. The digi image I chose is Flat Tire

I used the following items on this card
Black Brown & White card stock
Memory Box Texture Waive for the background
Petite Ovals
Sentiment is from Inspired by Stamping Masculine Things
Iced Spruce Distress Ink
Flower Soft Polar White for the snow
Glitter
Starform Sticker

I had printed out a couple of images and the card below
was the first one I made.
While I was waiting for the snow to dry
(I used Stickles Frosted Lace)
I decided to play around with the image and make a second one.
Because the image is small I added some glitter
instead of flower soft to the snow.

We do have a 3rd sponsor with a generous prize of a
$25 Gift Certificate

That's it for me for this challenge.
Hope to see you again soon -

It's a 'House' Sketch Challenge #A1614

It's been a long time since I got to enter one of the great challenges over at
and when I saw their latest sketch challenge
and the great inspiration
from the Rock Stars I knew I had to
get in my craft room and create.

Here is what I made

from this sketch

20140415-212911.jpg

I saw Cheri's embossed background Here
and knew I had the same folder.
I have been going to use it for ages and it fitted perfectly
for the background of my Daffodils. Thanks SS

I used the following items on my card -
Basic white yellow and black card stock
Spellbinders ovals/scalloped ovals
Sizzix butterfly die
Sentiment is from Inspired by Stamping -
 Trendy Circle Sentiments
and that beautiful Daffodil is
904W from Repeat Impressions.
Daffodil and Sentiment are popped.
Added a touch of dimensional magic to the centre of the Tulips.
Tulips coloured with Faber-Castell water colour pencils.

I had a hard time picking which flower stamp to use
as there are so many gorgeous ones (don't have them all)
and wanted to use one that the Rock Stars hadn't.

I would also like to enter this card in the following challenges -
