Just for You!

Today's post is for the Cut It Up Challenge

It is the popular  Anything Goes
and of course we need to add a DIE CUT on our projects.
How easy is that! Got that covered here.

I die cut my flowers and inked them with
Tim's Oxide Inks and Lindy's Magical's,
as I did with the Impression Obsession sentiment
which was die cut three times for depth.
Embossed my background with Kaisercraft Leaves
then adhered a slim Sizzix frame from Lisa Jones
and attached the flowers. and sentiment.
Finished by attaching to textured coloured card base.
A nice way to spend a hot Sunday afternoon
and my last card for 2023 and look forward to seeing
what the New Year has in store.

Thanks for dropping by -

Best Wishes Blooms

is live with their Optional Colour Mood Board
for our inspiration.

Like a lot of us I chose the red and green colours.
An easy card to make -
I got the background die cut for my birthday a while back
and thought it would be a nice backdrop for my flowers
from STAMPlorations Floral Bliss.
Heat embossed white and coloured them in two
pink/red tones from Lindy's Magicals.
The backing is coloured with the same colours.
Die cut the greenery and popped the flowers
with prills added to the centres.
Finished with a simple sentiment and attached to
white card base.
Thanks for dropping in -
Love reading your kind comments.

A Pretty Pink Happy Birthday.

Hello and Welcome to today's post.
Christmas cards are done and dusted and are all on their way so -
time for playing with my favourite retired
SU Botanical Blooms Set

Made for Color Hues for their current challenge
Color Hues #77 with the beautiful soft
pink/silver combo
and the
are celebrating their
5th Birthday Bash.

Don't you love milestone challenges!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Paper Funday.
I am also sending this over to their regular one
but without their optional twist of Snowman/or Birds
I'm afraid a snowman would melt in seconds here at the moment
with near #40c phew!

I die cut the front with white card stock
using a peek a boo die from MFT
then lightly inked Tim's stone stencil
with Hickory Smoke.
Die cut a SB square larger than the front
with pink card stock for the base.
Die cut leaves are heat embossed in
SU Silver and flowers coloured with
Lindy's Alpine Ice Rose and Oom Pah Pah Pink.
Added scattered gems to the leaves and
one to the main flower.
Sentiment inside is STAMPlorations Carved Flowers
which fitted perfectly behind the cut opening.
Certainly a hard card to photograph.
Thanks Nancy for choosing such a gorgeous color hue
for us this month.
Thanks also for taking time out to comment.

Simply 'Merry Christmas'

It's the last challenge of the year at
and my last card as I am stepping down
as a Designer. I have so enjoyed being part of the
fabulous friendly Sistah's and I know they will
continue to impress you with their craft skills
and encourage you to add yours to their Gallery in the New Year.

Our challenge is simply CHRISTMAS!
so go all out , have fun and
add yours to our Gallery. I know it will be full of
amazing Christmas creations.

I found the pretty paper I used on my die cut trees
in my stash - had it for years!
Embossed background is an old CB Christmas one.
Added some gold cord, bow and pearls.
Sentiment is from Elizabeth Craft Designs.
Card stock/base are metallic gold.

Thanks so much Darlene and  Sistah's
for the wonderful time I had as part of the Team.

Merry Christmas to you all.

Silver Decorations for Christmas

It's sooooooooooo close to Christmas
and I am sure you haven't finished your cards yet have you?
Christmas Craft Creations have their last challenge for the year
so a great chance to quickly finish them up by entering our
Christmas Decorations Theme

I went with an old CB embossing folder for my background
then added a MFT oval die that I had
adhered my silver Christmas Decorations to.
Die cut the Merry Christmas sentiment.
Framed in silver onto white card base.
A really CAS card that would be so easy
to do multiples of.
Hop over and check out what has been added to
Our Blog by the Talented Design Team.
Hope to see yours there.
Thanks for visiting throughout the year
with your kind comments.
May you have a
Merry Christmas
with Family and Friends and I will be back
in the New Year to do it all over again.

Sparkle this Christmas!

It's time for the Anything Goes Stencil Challenge at

I had a load of fun making this card. Started with
Lindy's magical's for my background
then stencilled ARTplorations Christmas Tree
with coloured texture paste.
While that was wet I added lots of
Stampendous Twinkle Glitter.
It looks a little blurry in the photo I think because it is so thick.
Finished with heat embossing my sentiment from
Happy Little Stampers Let it Snow.
Adhered to white card base and my
sparkly Christmas card was complete.
Hope you get a chance to play with
our challenges over at
as there will be an indefinate break.
A HUGE Thank You to Kylie for
how she has cared for and looked after
the numerous Challenges she managed -
not to mention all her Designers.
We are forever thankful for the
privilege of being part of her 'Family'.

Have a Merry Christmas.

Celebrating our #100th at Creative Artiste Mixed Media

We are celebrating our #100th Challenge at
with this challenge a little different to our usual Anything Goes.
Christmas is just a few weeks away
and have added the option of
Anything Goes Mixed Media with a
Christmas Theme.
Our Talented Guest Betta
and the Team have gone with
a special Mixed Media Christmas make.

After coming home from a little holiday
I was full of ideas but Mo and Jo were overwhelmed
hence it took me a few days to narrow down what I wanted to create.
As it turned out what I started with is nothing like
what I had in mind and in the end it just wasn't me
so I started all over again and again!
When you want to do something special you
overthink it and try too hard.
In the end and running out of time I am
finally happy with my Christmas Creation.
Here is some progress photos
I wasn't happy with this background and it
did go in the bin only to come out the next day.
(Things weren't going to planat this stage)
adding kraft paper with splatters and rolled to top part
then added rolled paper from an old book.
Inked the edges with AA Rusty Brown Wax.

Then deciding what elements to add.
Art stones, crystal snow and cheescloth.

Tim's Holiday Greens, Deer with more snow,
Die cut envelope and note

Joy die is Kaisercraft inked and covered in Nuvo
Hollywood Red Sparkle Dust and adhered to
thick cardboard. Somewhere along the way
I lost the itty bitty i.

Finished with some sequins, gems and chipboard pieces I left natural.

Design Team Member Fiona has kindly donated
this prize for one lucky Winner!

Be sure to add your Mixed Media to Our Blog for a chance to be chosen the Winner.
Looking forward to seeing all the lovely projects.
Hope yours will be there.

PS - As we do each year we take January off to freshen up
our creativeness and get over Christmas/New Year festivities 😊
Thank you for all your kind comments during the year.
See you in Febraury!

Have a Merry Christmas & Happy New Year.

Prize Ribbon, Fossilized Amber
and Spiced Marmalade.
Lindy's Grab a Guy Gold.

Going CAS at Just Us Girls

It's our Last Challenge of the year at
Just Us Girls and Bobby is Hosting our
CAS Challenge and chose the prompt -
In a Circle.

I must admit this card was made long ago
when my girlfriend was visiting.
When I saw this challenge come up on our DT blog
I knew I wanted to keep it for this one.
It is using a technique I have wanted to play with
for a long time  and we finally did together.
You will all remember Eileen Godwin with her
masking of colours that we all loved.
I used Tim's Destress inks and the vellum
die cut flower was one my girlfriend bought
that we both used.
Certainly CAS - finishing with a pearl
in the centre of the flower.
Our Guest Melissa and the Team have created such
super fun wonderful inspiring cards and we would
love to see yours in the Gallery for the last time this year.
A big Thank You to Melissa for sharing her talents
with us as our November Guest.

Thanks for all the lovely comments this year.
I really appreciate them.
Merry Christmas
See you in January to do it all again.

Something Beautiful!

I recently came across the Beautiful Blossoms blog
thanks to Design Team Member Darlene.
It's all about flowers/florals with an optional mood board.
The current challenge has a stunning colourful one with
Details Here to check out.

and a close up showing the shimmer a little better.

Those that know me are aware of how I love a colour challenge
and this one above with those gorgeous blooms caught my eye.
I recently purchased the lotus leaf die set and
unwrapped it to create this CAS card.
A nice break from Christmas cards.
I used watercolour paper colouring my flower with
Lindy's Cowabunga Copper
Cattail Copper Brown and
Glory of the Sea Gold.
Memory Box Pinpoint Double Frame
popping the centre piece.
Flower was cut twice and offset for interest.
Added a black pearl, small leaf and
strips on the side for more colour.
Finished with my sentiment inked in
Versafine Clair Nocturne heat embossed clear.
With such lovely mood board colours and
plenty of time left to play I am sure I will be
back over at the Beautiful Blossoms Challenge again soon
after I add my card above to their Gallery.
Thanks for dropping in

Sweater Weather at the Sisterhood

It's 'Sweater Weather' in the North
and that is our Theme at

I went in a different direction with this card
as I  don't have any 'real sweater' stamps in my stash.
Tim's Holiday Knits stencil came to the rescue.
I added colour and texture with
Cosmic Shimmer Golden Olive Metallic Gilding Polish
My Paper Smooches Merry Christmas Die
was cut several times for depth and adhered to vellum.
Framed and adhered to white base.
The Sistah's have created fabulous sweater cards
for your inspiration and I am sure you will
want to add yours to the Gallery.
See you there!

Christmas Wishes

Carol Mc is Hosting our Photo/Mood Board Challenge
for Just Us Girls with a bunch of beautiful Christmas choices.

Here's a bigger detailed photo.

You can see what caught my eye -
the greenery in the middle.
I inked the ARTplorations A2 panels
with Tim's Distress and Oxide inks
and layered them. The greenery is also
Tim's Mini Holiday Greens coloured with
the above and Lindy's Magicals..
Added some splatters, cotton and beads.
Finishing with a simple Christmas Sentiment.
Head over and see what our Guest Melissa
and Talented Teamies chose from the
fabulous Mood Board and come join in by
adding yours to our Gallery.
 Thanks for dropping in

A Simple 'Thank You'

Today is Remembrance Day here in Australia
and each year I make a
Thank You card with poppies.
I was so happy to see our Host Carol M
chose Thanks/Thanksgiving as our Word Challenge at

My granddaughter recently gave me a box of tissue paper
and ribbons and that is where the idea for my
 CAS card came from.
My SB die cut flower is scrunched up red tissue paper.
Added a stamen in the middle with a hint of glitter.
Popped lightly onto the textured background
and again onto card base.
Simple thank you sentiment is 49&Market
inked and heat embossed clear.
There is such a variety of wonderful cards
presented to you on our blog from
Melissa and the Team so head over and check them out
and join in with yours to the Gallery.

PS - When this goes live I will be spending time
in the tropics with family celebrating birthday's
for my son in law and Miss Harper Jane's 1st.

A Fall/Harvest Theme at the Sisterhood of Crafters

It's time for out New Challenge at The Sisterhood of Crafters
with the Theme Fall/Harvest.

My card is fairly CAS, die cutting three
rectangles, inking with distress colours
and adding some grunge stamping to the edges.
My leaf is one I picked up with a bunch of others
walking back from the mailbox.
(I have a loooong driveway)
I popped the leaf, added some splatters,
simple sentiment and framed.
Finished by adhering to white card base.
Check out how the Sistah's chose to
create their Fall/Harvest cards and join in
with yours in our Gallery.
Thanks for visiting
