Time Out Challenge #77

Hello Crafty Friends. What do you see in this photo below?
There is so much there that my mind boggles!

It's for the current challenge over at Time Out
All the Details are Here.
I took my inspiration from the colours and flowers.
Since
were sponsoring I though I would use
some of their fabulous products here.
My background was one I had sitting on my desk
and thought it matched the colours closely to the photo.
I then stenciled the ARTplorations Happy Flowers
with Pearl White Acrylic Paint
adding a bit of grunge to the background with
the  A Happy is from Vignette Chevron & Arrows
My little bird is from Kaisercraft.
This was cut with stitched dies and
attached to pearl paper to blend with the flowers.
This is heading over for the

It's Photo Week at Just Us Girls

Hosting our Photo Week Challenge is Sue
and has chosen this lovely Photo.

and Here is my card concentrating on that
beautiful red & green amongst the snow (brr)
I do love this poppy die from Memory Box and pulled it out
as I thought it perfect to match the photo above.
I cut out 2 and inked them up with
Tim Holtz  Festive Berries/Fired Brick/Mowed Lawn.
Added a touch of green & clear WOS.
My background was embossed with Kaisercraft Leaves.
Poppies slightly popped for dimension
onto white card stock. Behind them are strips of
scrap DP and a scallop from Spellbinders Lacey Circles.
The sentiment was already cut out and sitting on my desk
and tied in perfectly. I even had the tiny dot...
Finished my card off with a few red rhinestones.

As the blog states  cas this was right up my alley here.
I have used basic card stock in black & white.

'PARTY TIME' at Shopping our Stash

How much fun are you going to have playing with
the current challenge over at Shopping our Stash
It's all about Mardi Gras and a Party Theme.
Pop over to the Link above for all the Details.
I am certainly enjoying my stint as February's Guest.

Lucky for me I had this stamp set that had lots of party type images
that came with the Fiskers stamp thingy with the
orange sponge ends - you know what I mean!
I didn't think I would ever use it - wrong!
I started inking up various images with SU Calypso Coral and
Tim Holtz Peacock Feathers/Black Soot.
For the background  I got out my Dutch Doobadoo Pop Art Stencil
and inked up randomly with more TH inks - Mowed Lawn/Crushed Olive
Memento Peanut Brittle and some dots from SU
This was cut from a stitched die.
Added glossy accents to the bubbles - and above and below. The glass was then touched up with WOS and finished by adhering to brightly coloured card stock.

I am sure you will want to check out what the
Design Team created and be inspired to come play.
Hope to see you there. Thanks for dropping in.

Thinking of 'Spring'

When I saw the beautiful Inspiration Palette over at
The House that Stamps Built I knew I had to play
and over at Dies R Us Challenge for their
Think Spring Challenge. Details Here

f1517

I did try and make a card with an envelope but
you know where that landed up. Just didn't work out right!
Starting off with that beautiful stamp from
Repeat Impressions - Vase of Tulips
(one of my favourites)
I heat embossed it with Zing Blush
and painted the flowers in the colours
on the palette. These are metallic paints I
picked up at an office supply store and they have
given me a new love of colouring in -
so easy to use I just use a water brush.
I was really happy how the vase tuned out motely
and in two colours.
This was cut from SB Romantic Rectangles
and popped onto white cs cut with a stitched die
stencilled with TCW Mini Hex Flowers
in Memento Angel Pink.
Sentiment is from 49ANDMarket heat embossed
and cut from vellum with SB Fancy Labels.
Added a couple of tiny pearls to finish.

#Also going to pop this over to
Hiding in my Craftroom for their
Challenge #189 Embossing

Thanks for dropping in today.
Love reading your comments.

It's our 'Colour Week' at Just Us Girls

Judy is our Host for this week's Colour Challenge at Just Us Girls
This is a favourite of mine and also the great colours chosen.

I love kraft card stock as a base and red and black
always makes a great combination.
I topped my card base with matching cs with a stitched die
heat embossing it with VersaMark ink
stamped with SU Beyond Basics
and a tiny flower from STAMPlorations Groovy Shoes.
My main flower is cut from a Marianne Die with DP from Bella.
Centre pearl is a brad - yes a brad - those little things we
all have a stack off and now out of vogue.
I backed that with ribbon making sure I had some black.
I then added some little punched out flowers adding
tiny pearls to the centre and
  randomly adding more pearls.
My sentiment is from Inspired by Stamping.

Be inspired by checking out Our Blog
to see what our February Guest Michele Greenwood
and the 'Team' created.
Hope to see you there. You could be chosen as our
Chic of the Week and go on the be our
Guest in April.

Thanks for dropping in today.

It's the "Last Day' for our 'LOVE' TAGplorations Blog Hop

I hope you have enjoyed all the fabulous 'Tag'
projects the Team over at STAMPlorations have
been so busy creating for you.
I know I have enjoyed the challenge of
getting out of my comfort zone
making tags - something I don't make very often.
This is our last day -

So for something different I have made a few cards with tags!
I won't go into too much detail as to
how/what  I used on my cards but will
detail all the items from the STAMPlorations Blog

There is so much going on in this card - stencilling
stamping die cutting to name the main ones.
From STAMPlorations I used -
Spellbinder dies, ribbon, cotton and pearls.

and the same goes with this one but not as much
I inked STAMPlorations ARTplorations Rows of Hearts
with my Versamark ink pad on kraft cs.
Tag and background was then made up from
STAMPlorations Floral Bliss heat embossed in white
and cut from Spellbinder die and popped.
Sponging around edges of the tag and floral images.
Behind my tag is the SB Heart Circle die
which was also inked with the Grunge stamp.
Sentiment was cut from a MFT Stitched die
Finished with own ribbon and a tiny pink heart.

Hope you have been busy creating and commenting
as there are LOADS of great prizes to win.
Pop over To Our Main Blog for all the details and
don't forget you can use my discount code STAMPGIRLINA
to get 20% off your goodies in our STAMPlorations Store.
How good is that?

Thanks so much for taking the time to visit my blog
and I am sure you have also been hopping all over
to see how creative the 'Team' have been.

By the way our Love TAGplorations wouldn't be
the success it is if it wasn't for our most generous
Leader - Shery Russ so
Thank You from the bottom of my Heart.

Happy Ever After at Shopping our Stash

It's time again for a new challenge over at Shopping our Stash
and this week we are looking for a Romantic Project
BUT without a Heart.
I was given the bride/groom die cut from a friend
(Thanks Cheryl) and what better time to use it.
I decided to go with 2 different types of metallic card stock here.
One has a pattern on it with a slight greeny tinge
and the other more pronounced. Tricky to photograph.
Using a retired SU embossing folder as my background
I then cut out one frame from MFT and the other Spellbinders.
Adhered the bride & groom image and added my sentiment
which is from Gina K Designs and finishing with pearls
the same colour as my paper.

Thanks for dropping in -
Be sure to go over and check what the
Talented Team at Shopping our Stash
have made for your inspiration
and hope to see your creation there.

Delight in a 'Cup of Tea'

Sponsoring this weeks challenge over at Cupcake Inspirations
is STAMPlorations and a bunch of their Designers
have been supporting this challenge as Guests.
I was one of those and now I decided to
add another card to the gallery.

I recently purchased the Poppy Die called Teacup Stack
and thought this a perfect opportunity to try it out.
I cut it in the red white and black carefully
trying to keep as many pieces together so I could
pick what I wanted where. I then cut another piece out
of jac paper to stick my main piece to the card stock.

I took my inspiration this time from
those tiny hearts on top of that yummy looking icing.
Just looking at them made me hunger for something sweet.
***
My card base is black topped with red then
and stencilled through it with red acrylic paint
add some random grunge from
then added my sentiment from
I thought the sentiment went nicely
with a cup of tea. I do enjoy mine
first thing in the morning (and out of a teapot)
Finished with corner rounding on side.

#EDIT I am going to pop this over to
Again I went with the hearts and tiny dots
which I added to the top cup.

Thanks so much for popping in today.
Love reading your comments so don't be shy!
