Paper - Curious Metallic in White Gold
Cuttlebug Christmas embossing folder
Christmas ribbons, gold brads
The background I used xpress it tape
around the edges and added gold glitter
Zing Metallic Green embossing powder
Versacolor Gold ink
Vintage Labels from Justrite for the
sentiment from Gink K Fanciful Tags
The snowflakes I bought online
The Christmas tree is unknown.

Don't forget to pop over to the other JUGHEADS
and this month's Guest Tajanna
to see how they were inspired by this photo.
 ***
And of course if you win our Chic of the Week
you will be in the running to be our
Guest Designer for January.
How awesome is that?
***
I always look forward to seeing your entries every week.

Till next time Cherrio from

It's 'WHITE' on 'WHITE' and a little Stenciling.

Do you love just White on White?
I 'DO'

My favourite 'go to' for cards at the moment are
Stencils and have only delved into them big time of late.
I also discovered that you can do some much with them
especially with Textured Paste just to name one.
Now I have never gone there before even though
I love playing with backgrounds.
Maybe I must have been under a mushroom.
Now that the Pandora Box has opened - goodness knows
where it will take me.
I recently bought this fabulous Tim Holtz Stencil
called Holiday Knit and thought I would try
my new found trend.
I made my own Texture Paste as I don't live near
a craft store. I just used Acrylic Paint
Glue and didn't have Baby Powder so
used Bicarb of Soda. I did read that this would
make the paste rough and it did that but I liked the result.
Not bad for my first attempt
I showed my Sister in Law and she was into
Folk Art so she gave me her supply of
Acrylic Paints so I am going to have so much fun with them.
Sorry - a bit long winded there.
***
Onto the reason I am posting here.
I found a great challenge at ABC Christmas Challenge
and it is W for all WHITE - Perfect I said.
All I had to do was pop my Embossed Stencil
and add a Sentiment from SU Heard from the Heart.
I had this lovely paper that has a gold sparkle
going through it which was just what I needed
to go with the Gold embossed sentiment.
I curled the edges and lifted part
of the sentiment.
I also found another challenge that suited my card
where you were asked to use a Stencil and Stamp
(Just got those 2 in). Mine is just a
simple mixed media card.
***
So that's it for this post.
Thank You for stopping by

Sunday Stamps and CAS Sunday Challenge

This weeks challenge over at Sunday Stamps
is a Colour One - It's all Plum
and all the details are Here
and at Clean & Simple on Sunday
they have Challenge #46 Ribbon and or Twine.

As purple/plum is my favourite colour
(my favourite flower is a thistle being a Scot)
and I love to add a bit of twine or ribbon (twine this time)
to finish of my cards
I got in quickly to use a new stencil
and a fairly new SU Set - Petite Petals.
***
For some reason the purple/mauve colours
come out more like blue
when they are photographed.
***
For my card I used the following items ...
Basic white card stock
SU Petite Petals Stamp & Punch
SU Just Believe/Pocket Silhouettes for the Sentiments
Stencil is from The Crafter's Workshop - Mini Texture
Kaisercraft Leaves Stamp
Kaisercraft Pearls
Memento Inks - Sweet Plum, Lulu Lavender,
Eldenberry and New Sprout
Variegated Twine & Small Flower Punch.
***
It was a pretty simple card to make with just
stamping and a little punching.
***
Thanks for stopping by. I love hearing
what you think of my work.

So for my first card I chose
Clown Birdie from one of our Sponsor's

A really simple card using
Basic coloured card stock
Papers and sentiment from the Doodle Pantry digi set
I just added a couple of circle punches twine and
a button to finish.

My second card is made with a digi supplied by
Kenny K called Skateboard Girl.
My background was made from
Tim Holtz Stencil - Splatters
using Distress Inks and SU Beyond Basics
I coloured my image with watercolour pencils
and added Glossy Accents for the shine on her skateboard
and popped it on top of Spellbinders Circles and Lacy Circles
My sentiment is from Gina K Designs - Smile.

Check out the WOW Colours at JUGS

DON'T YOU JUST LOVE THESE 'AWESOME' COLOURS?

I know I DO... and  OUR HOST Sharyn found it...

An old work mate and dear friend sent me the amazing
stamp I used on my card. I knew when I saw the colours
I just had to use it, Unfortunately I don't know where it is from.

I have a thing about inking backgrounds lately and thought it
perfect for this challenge. Inky finger again...
I heat embossed the stamp with Zing Aqua embossing powder
which gave it a beautiful sheen
then went to work with my background colours.
I used several which include
Tim Holtz  - Peacock Feathers, Bundled Sage
Memento - Morocco, Peanut Brittle
to name a few.
Added layers of bright coloured card stock
which were edged with a Martha Stewart punch
Finished off with red Kaisercraft pearls.

That's my card for this weeks
Colour Challenge

I know the other JUGHEADS
and our Guest Tajanna
have created some breathtaking cards
so pop on over and check them out.
***
Sure hope you get the chance to create something
bright and beautiful.
In doing so and entering our challenge HERE
you could be our Weekly Winner
and be in the running for a Guest Designer Spot
sometime soon.

Hope to see how these colours inspired you and
look forward to seeing your creation
 so till next time...

It is REMEMBRANCE DAY

I made this card as my THANK YOU to all those that
lost their lives and those still fighting.
Today I especially remember a friend who's husband
went to Vietnam and unfortunately passed away
some time ago.

Trending at JUGS for Challlenge #266

ISN'T IT A FABULOUS CHALLENGE
from our First Time HOST - CHRIS

This card was made after I was inspired by a card
I got some time ago from my friend Karen Shirey
so I am really casing her card.

I used the same stamp set - Vogue Vases from Gina K Designs
The sentiment is also from Gina K and I think it is from
a grab bag I won.
***
For the chalk board affect I used white Versa Magic chalk ink
for the flowers on the front and the leaves inside.
And
Spellbinders Petite Ovals
Designer Paper from my stash
Heat embossed the case with sticky embossing powder
and added Diamond Dust for sparkle.
A little rick rack as a shelf for the popped Vase.
Kaisercraft Pearls on the centre of the flowers.

I love this technique and thanks to Chris I
enjoyed making my card for this weeks

TREND CHALLENGE
over at JUGS

Please hop over and see what the rest of
THE JUGHEADS and our Guest Tajanna
 have made.

And of course I hope you are inspired and
you get the chance to create your project
and enter it in this weeks challenge.
then you could be in the running to join us
as our Guest Designer in the near future.
***
And a bonus -
Over at Stamp TV this weeks
Mix It Up Monday the challenge is to
Use a Gina K stamp set from the Past
You can find all the details Here
I think the Vogue Vase stamp set would
have been one of my first of many stamps
and still remains a firm favourite which doesn't need
dusting off as it is used often.
Thanks to another Karen - the Host -  Karen Hightower
for perfect timing of this challenge as it fitted
in perfectly for my DT card for this weeks
JUGS Trend Challenge.

Thanks for stopping by

Thanks to this week's Host
DONNA PHELAN

You can find all the details Here

My card is Two Fold. Not only can I enter it in
this challenge but also the current one over at
Stamp TV for the MIUM Challenge
hosted by Karen Hightower

I certainly used some of my Gina K favourites on this card
Vogue Vases
Springtime Silhouettes
Fanciful Tags and
Dogwood & Butterfly
and the required doily, SU ribbon and ink
Embossing folder is Royalty by Couture Creations
Kaisercraft pearl on flower centre.

 have their current challenges going
and a new one at The Paper Players

IBSIC-#87---Color

But you can find all the details for the others from IBS Here
and The Paper Players Here
I chose to use the Colour Challenge for my inspiration.

They are such pretty colours but decided to
move away from the Christmas theme and
ink up one of the IBS stamps from Vintage Pieces
as my feature.
The background was stamped from IBS Elegant Flowers
in  Memento London Fog and Summer Blue

I also used the following items -
Spellbinders Floral Ovals
Spellbinders Vintage Lace Motifs
IBS sentiment from A Lovely Birthday
IBS Vintage Banners
MS Punch
Kaisercraft Red Pearls
Homemade flowers
Sizzix leaf die
Memento Love Letter
Added a touch of clear Wink of Stella
to the flowers and Jug.

I would also like to enter this card in the current challenge
at The Paper Players featuring something
Vintage or Antique.
I thought the IBS stamps would make
a perfect match for this challenge.

Thanks for stopping by for a peek
and hope you will come back again soon.

I'm thinking Christmas for our JUGS Challenge

'Christmas' will be here before we know it!
Time to think about making those Holiday Cards and I thought
one thing that reminds us of Christmas is
'WREATHS'.

Maybe our host for this weeks challenge
The Lovely Lisa was thinking the same thing.

I think every crafter has bundles of buttons and I am no exception
so decided to use just a few as my Inspiration.
This card was simple to make.
I popped the DP after
stamping my sentiment on white card stock.
Then got out my buttons pearls sparklets
and tiny rhinestones and placed around
my cut out circle.
Added a few pearls along side of the sentiment
which is from Gina K Designs
Cut the bottom corners and finished with a few more
mini rhinestones to my sheer grey ribbon.

Hope you like my inspirational card
and you will join us at JUGS for
our Wreaths Challenge.

Oh! don't forget to pop over to Our Blog
and see what my other Jugheads
and our Guest  for November - Tajanna
 have made to inspire you.

They are AWSOME...
