It's all about The Birds!

We have a special treat for you this time round at
We are collaborating with Time Out Challenge
for their Birds of a Feather
It is our Word Week and Bobby is Hosting with
BIRDS
For all the details check our Blog Post.

I have several birds flying around the flowers and bird cage.

Kraft paper is so hard to photograph and
a shame it doesn't show it's true colours here.
I have used an old Spellbinder die for the frame,
Kaisercraft bird cage, different dies for the birds,
big fourish and MS punch for the flowers.
Centres have Liquid Pearls.
Background is an old retired SU stamp
and sentiment is STAMPlorations.
Added a few pearls to the cage.
Head over and check out how our Guest Tracy
and the Team chose to showcase their BIRDS,
join in our Bird Challenge
and your card will be automatically entered through our link
to Time Out Birds of a Feather Challenge
(which runs for two weeks)

See you there

Spring Wishes!

It's Spring Time at Cut It Up Challenge
and we are looking for Spring Time Colours!

I have been checking out suitable items in my Bits Box
lately instead of creating new ones
and again I found the beautiful bright embossed background
to place my white daisies. Tim's Wildflowers are
my go too's when I need some nice florals.
I die cut the heads again for depth and added some
splatter stamping for interest.
Sentiment dies are from CUTplorations -
perfect for our Spring Challenge.
Head over and see what the Team created
for your pleasure and come join in

Pretty in Pink...

It's that Time of the Month for my Mixed Media Make for the

I decided to go with soft pinks for my 5/7 canvas.
Managed to take a few photos as I went along.
Starting with the colour elements then adding
stencilling and stamping from AALL&Create.

A few coloured chipboard pieces and art stones for interest.
Added some pretty dp to back my Little Birdie flowers to.

Needing a little something I adhered a resin bottle
with a touch of pink wax to the top of the chipboard
Finishing with some cabachons

and to find an encouraging sentiment to complete.

My Team Mates have all made fabulous mixed media makes
for you so hop over and see how their finished pieces .
Be encouraged and enter yours to our Gallery.

little bits of washi tape with dots and stripes
in various colours as part of my background.

and a fun strip down the side.
Adhered to white card base.

The dragonfly is an Animal Spirit stamp
inked, heat embossed clear
and sentiment is from STAMPlorations.
Added some splatters.

Happy Birthday!

It's our Mood Board Week at  Just Us Girls
It's my turn to host and chose the colourful one below
with of course featuring some of my favourite colours
as well as other aspects.

Here's a larger view of choices.

This wasn't what I had planned to make but with
very little play time atm I reverted back to my bits box
and came up with that gorgeous background
which matched my mood board. Gotta love that!
It was already inked with Hero Arts Leafy Vine,
all I had to do was cut the big HB die
several times for depth adding a white shadow.
Finished with some lovely smoke pearls by Uniquely Creative
corner rounding and adhered to coloured card base.
You will love how creative the Team were
with this Mood Board so head over and check them out.
Love to see yours in the Gallery/
Thanks for visitng.

'tis a Merry Christmas

It's time for our New Challenge over at
Our Theme for the Month is
Stencils or Embossing Folder.

Unfortunately purple never comes out true in a photo.
Craft time of late has been very limited with
caring for hubs failing heath so CAS it is for my
card for this month's challenge.
I used kraft paper, purple card stock,
an old CB embossing folder, purple ribbon,
and big Christmas die to complete.
Head over to our Blog and check out
what my team mates created for you
and come join in with yours to the Gallery.
Thanks for dropping in

Love Always

It's time for our New Challenge over at
Cut It Up and as it is February
you guessed what our Theme would be.
Yes Have a Heart!

Moving away from the obvious red/pink hearts
I found this colourful scrap in my bits box - how cool!
Dusted off my old CB heart die  cutting three,
doodled the inside and background in black.
Adhered pearls here and there and
finished with a simple sentiment.
Such a fun card to create.
Head over and see what my Team Mates created
using our HEART THEME and come join in.

Love U

Hello and Welcome to today's post.
Elizabeth is hosting this week at Just Us Girls
February is the month of LOVE  so how fitting
that she chose that word for our challenge.

I decided to move away from the obvious colour
and went with my favourite
(again I found it hard to get a true colour in my photo
but it is close.)
Going CAS again smooching my background with Tim's ink.
The CUTplorations hearts were cut from my bits box.
Added a small darker heart to the main one,
 the CUTplorations love die
and an old CB U in upper and lower case.
Attached to purple base to complete.
Check out what our Guest Denise and the Team
created with their LOVE themed cards
and add yours to the Gallery.

It's Colour Week at Just Us Girls

Hello and Welcome. It's Colour Week at
With a New Month we have a New Guest Designer
Welcome Denise from The Crafty Den
and being February there are bound to be
a bountiful supply of fluttery hearts with these colours
so I went in a different direction.

I cased my card from former DT Cecile Ribon Here
as it was such a fun cas design just changing the colours.
Still stretched for craft time it was just perfect.
Die cut MFT red circle, black leaves from Tim's Wildflower Stems 1
and pink flower - three times script inkings in black.
A simple sentiment from STAMPlorations,
adhered to white card base to complete.

Head over to Our Blog to see how Denise
and the Team chose to use these colours.

Thinking of You...

We have added a New Challenge this year
to our Weekly Themes at Just Us Girls
and I am thrilled to be our First HOST!
It's Anything Goes using a STENCIL -
and don't we all have loads to choose from?

How fortunate I was that with our first challenge of the year
I made two cards. This is the other one and coming in handy
as I have had hubby in hospital on and off for a few weeks
so from playing Nurse and home chores play time
was on the backburner.

I do love adding texture to a stencil as I have done here.
I used my Magical's letting the colours soak into the background.
Added some white thread behind the die cut
and cut the sentiment several time for dimension.
Popped onto white card base and my stencilled card is complete.

Head over and see what our Guest Stef
and the Team created with their stencils and
come join in the fun.
Hope to see yours in the Gallery.
A Big Thank You to Stef
for sharing her talents with us this month.

A LATE update sending this over to the
