Hello and Welcome. It's time for our
New Challenge at Creative Artiste Mixed Media
It's always Anything Goes so anything is possible
as long as we use multiple mediums in our project.
I have wanted to try decorating a bottle and
so this month it happened.
I didn't want to go too big to start so
played around with an empty beer bottle.
I have photographed it on top of a patchwork piece
my sister made for me.
It was only after I finished it I realized I had made my bottle
in the colours of her kitchen so will give it to her
when I visit her later in the month.
***
First job was to gesso it
I didn't like the one on the right so
made another one using Tim Holtz Grit Paste
then painted it up with Art Alchemy Acrylic Paints in
Metallic Lime Green/Gold Rush/Fresh Orange
adding some coloured cheesecloth
and unfortunately a few of the photos
of the added flowers weren't very good.
Continued on after arranging them with sea shells
and a few punched ferns
and Cosmic Shimmer gilding flakes in Autumn Leaves.
Tied some cotton around the neck of the bottle
and glued it down towards the flowers.
Randomly added some Art Alchemy Wax to the sea shells.
Here's a few close up photos of the finished bottle.
I am sharing this project over at Bleeding Art
for their latest Mixed Media Challenge
Details are Here
I have a very special project in the making for next month
so pop back again won't you.
Thanks for dropping in

This turned out absolutely amazing, and what a conversation piece it will be when you gift it to your sister! Beautiful!
Your bottle is stunning Ina! I love how you've decorated it with the Fall like colors and fun texture! I love doing bottles for mixed media! They're so fun to work with! :) TFS!
Beautiful mixed media art on that bottle and it certainly does not look like an ordinary beer bottle anymore. I bet your friend adores it too.
Wowser! Now that's thinking outside the box (or should I say bottle?). An amazing creation that can also be used as a little vase, I imagine? Super creation Ina!
Wonderful mixing of the mediums and what fabulous colours, your sister will love it x. The stencilling looks so textural and the wax, flakes, flowers and shells look beautiful x.
A gorgeous project Ina. Lots of lovely layers, colours and details xx
