Mixed Up Masking

Time for the new Challenge over at
Mix It Up and this month our
Anything Goes Option is - Masking
So many ways to go about this technique
but I decided to mask either side and go with
showcasing my Mix of Flowers.

Those that frequent my blog know how much I love
to play with my Lindy's Magical's and they do make
amazing backgrounds.

See what I mean!

On to my layers of flowers.
First up I stenciled Tim Holtz Wild Flower
with Distress Crackle Paint in Clear Rock Candy
which didn't impress me much so
inked up one of the flowers with VersaClair Fallen Leaves
and heat embossed clear slightly to the side.
I then smooched more flowers and die cut adding on top.
All three layers are from Tim's Wild Flowers -
stencil, stamps and dies.
Threw on some splatters left over on my mat.
Inked my sentiment from Woodware Gone to Seed
with the Fallen Leaves then ran a pen down both sides
of my masking.
Attached to purple card stock.
(How hard it is to get a good colour photo wise)

After I made this card I had second thoughts about
the masking technique
and made another in the more traditional style.
Again I used Magical's with Twinkling H2O
and Nuvo Drops on my masked flowers which are
STAMPlorations Bloom Doodles
Sentiment is from Bloomful inked in
SU Calypso Coral and Tim Holtz Mowed Lawn.
Lightly smooched background.
I thought the sentiment perfect for this trying time.

That's my Designer's Makes for this month at
DT Badge
Pop over and see how the rest of the Team
chose to inspire you and come join in the fun.
Love to see you in our Gallery this month.
Thanks for dropping by.

Beautiful creations! The background is amazing in the first one, love how you masked both of them differently.

The masked flowers look sensational with white space on either side, and the traditional make is so serene and lovely too! NJ on both!
