It's that time of the month for me to
show what I created for our New Anything Goes Challenge
over at Creative Artiste Mixed Media
I am a little disappointed how this finished
as it wasn't what I had planned but
I wanted to use a new die and it went from there.
get carried away. It did start off that way
but somethng towards the end didn't pan out.
The process is always fun and this is how it started.
My new die
Inked up the insert with Distress ink
and Lindy's Magical's then
used a favourite AALL&Create stencil
and added some grungy stamping from Arden Creative Studio
then a whole lot of bits and bobs
The butterfly had been sitting on my desk for ages
so no need to die cut another one like I had planned.
then it all came together.
I had a bit of trouble glueing the frame
to the black base
as it was only on heavy card stock
then the insert was tricky also.

Beautiful use of colour Ina and all those die cut elements, they can be tricky devils to stick down over texture but you did a grand job.. Makes a super piece of mixed media.. glad that Butterfly found it's way onto it. Happy creative July Hugs Tracey x
Beautiful butterfly creation, love the colours. Although i start with an idea in my head it rarely turns out how i saw it in my minds eye, sometimes i really like the evolved outcome, sometimes not so much but like you say its having fun with the creating part thats important, just enjoying the process x

We may not be satisfied with some of our creations since they didn't turn out the way we want, but others only see awesome results, and I have to say that I love the look of your project so much, Ina! The colors and the composition are just beautiful, and it does look like you had a lot of fun making it. (Glad that the final gluing went okay too.) Have a wonderful, creative July! Anita xx
