It's simply 'Merry'

Hello and Welcome. Here's what I have been up to for
the CAS Christmas Challenge. This month's prompt is Tree
Such a simple one? Which way will I go? Dies or Stamps?

I landed up with trees as I had this tiny stitched cut out
left over from a previous card and
a perfect backdrop for my snowy trees.
It's simply smooched lots with Screamin' Banshee Black Magicals.
You will see it used quite a bit in the lead up to Christmas.
I cut out my trees with some Mulberry type paper
heat embossed and added glitter, I flicked
some white acrylic paint to the background sky for the snow,
popping the trees and adding a star.
Cut out the Merry from Lawn Fawn.
Card Base is Ripple Card Stock.

Since I am WAY BEHIND with Christmas cards
I'm sure you will see more before the end of the month.

I will added this to the Monochrome Magic Challenge Gallery
for the
as I have only used the Black Magicals
as my Monochorome colour.
Hope that it counts.
Thanks for dropping in.

Hope you leave a comment as I love reading them.

'tis another Poinsettia Card

I'm back with another Christmas card for a couple of challenges
My second one for CAS Christmas Card Challenge
Check out the details Here and
The  City Crafter are Celebrating
Christmas in July with Silver
so will pop this over to their Gallery.

My Christmas cards are not complete until I
use my Spellbinder Poinsettia Die.

This one wasn't quite as quick as my previous
poinsettia card but is still a CAS style.
I cut my card stock on an angle and then
sponged some Iridescent Medium with a
piece of bubble wrap (Thanks Loll).
Love the shimmer!
I then got to that poinsettia inking
card stock with Coral Reef Wax
wiping some of the colour off the top with a spotty stencil
from Kaisercraft giving it a nice effect.
I cut several flowers and glued them all together.
Behind it is some silver leaves from
Tim's Holiday Greens.
Added grey card stock and my
Merry Christmas die from Paper Smooches
cut from the same silver paper
as my leaves. This was the hardest part
trying to keep it all together and getting it straight.
Finished off with pearls and gems

Thanks for dropping in.

Celebrate the Season for CAS Christmas

Hello and Welcome
The new challenge over at
and sure to be a big hit with a
favourite Christmas Flower - Poinsettia
to take pride of place for this month.
Check it out Here
Over at Little Red Wagon their Challenge is
Christmas in July so this card will be in both Galleries.

This was the easiest and quickest Christmas card
I have ever made so it's going to be mass produced
for later in the year to help me out 'cause
I am so far behind and I know I will
need them in a hurry.
Here is how I made it.
That beautiful poinsettia is the
I saw Shery - the Owner make a card with this flower
and she stamped the back of the stamp then turned it around
and stamped the correct side off centre a bit and that is
what I have done here. Doesn't it look fabulous!
I used Memento Sweet Plum on the background and
Eldenberry on the main image.
Added some WOS Gold/Green
to the centre berries and Nuvo Glitter Gloss
on the front flowers.
Added my sentiment from
Cut this from a stitched die and attached to
SU Rich Razzleberry card stock.
I refrained from added gems or glossy accents
on those berries and think I did the right thing.

AAA Cards are also celebrating
Christmas in July Here so joining in
their Gallery also.

# Update - and how could I not add this card to the
Monochrome Magic with the
Twist of Purple!
Monochrome as well. Yay!
I do love 'Purple'

Thanks for dropping in.

Bending a Branch

Hi there and Welcome to today's post.
It's for the current  CAS Christmas Card Challenge
to use an Ornament - Here are the Details.

I found it hard to get a good photo showing
how nice the gold shimmery paper is
so here is a closer look also showing
the Alcohol Inked background.
I penciled around my Kaisercraft Ornament
and fussy cut out the background
then die cut the ornament with gold paper.
Cut out my MB Woodland Branch
to attach the popped ornament too.
Added to white card stock for a stitched die line
 spritzed with SU Champagne Gold.
Die cut a Merry Christmas in the same gold paper,
adding a bow and pearl to finish.

That's another Christmas card done.
So many more to go before the end of the year.

This is a great challenge to get involved with
as they are CAS - just perfect for
that especially busy time of the year.

Thanks for dropping in.
