Corking it for the CAS Mix Up Challenge.

Hey there I'm Back!
I have just spent the most amazing few weeks of
fun filled craft time with my bff
creating and trying out new things.
This was the first card I made and is for the
I just had to wait till I got home
so I could add to my Blog.
I knew as soon as I saw the Mix I knew I wanted to use cork.
My friend has an EBosser so the cork die just cut out beautifully.
I think I will add this to my Wishlist for the future as I loved using it.
It is from Tim Holtz Wildflowers.
This was such a cas quick card to make.
All I needed was the cream card stock
my cork wild flower, an inked up sentiment
using distress inks and distressing/inking the edges.
My Mix is - Cork, Die Cut, Distressing and Stamping.

You will find that some of my postings
will be a little light on with products
I used while I was away as there was so much going on
I didn't get time to write it all down.
Too busy playing!
Hope you like what I made. Love to read your thoughts!
Thanks for dropping by.

It's CAS Watercolour 'Fall' Leaves

I have been in somewhat of a get those Christmas Cards
made earlier this year mode
but thought I needed a change and the
new challenge over at CAS Water Colour did just that.
As soon as I saw this
I knew exactly what I wanted to make.
Because it is a cas challenge I used just one leaf.
It was cut from an old Cuttlebug Leaf Die
then added Autumn Gilding Flakes
#Hint Cut your die out using jac paper
then peal off one layer and add
your flakes. No glue to get your fingers
covered in those flakes.
I am so glad I tried this. Guess I will use those flakes
a bit more often now. They make that leaf look fabulous.
The background is simply swiped with a wet paint brush
using TH Distress Inks on canvas paper.
Added a touch of Inka Gold using Karen Dunbrook's
credit card swipe technique. Thanks Karen.
Distressed and inked the edges.
Sentiment is from Happy Little Stampers
Thinking of You heat embossed with
 Wow Metallic Platinum.
Finished with a few pearls.
I have another leaf cut out and flaked
(no sense just cutting one) so
that's for another day.

Congratulations on celebrating your 1st Birthday
Loll Bonnie and the Talented Designers.

Going to pop this over to the
where the Optional Twist is Gold.

#Update I see my card qualifies for the
Colour Me Fall Challenge over at
The Mod Squad so I am now dropping it over there.

Thanks so much for popping in today.
Love reading your thoughts!
Till next time - Cherrio

It's 'TREND WEEK' at Just Us Girls

Bobby is Hosting this weeks Trend Challenge at
Just Us Girls and chose
'All Over Stamping'

Now I had the stamp set I used here in line for another challenge
but realized it was 'perfect' for this one instead.
It is SU - Timeless Textures and this is another stamp set
that has so many ways you can use it.
I got out a bunch of Tim Holtz Distress Inks
and just started inking and stamping randomly and as you can see
it lands up an 'all over stamping' background
for my butterfly which is by the way
a left over from a few I made last year.
How perfect was that? The only thing I had
to add to my background was some Inka Gold
as I had added it to my butterfly.
I cut my background with a stitched die
and framed it then added to my card base.
I die cut my 'Happy' from Impression Obsession
attached it to the butterfly and
stamped the Birthday (from Pink & Maine)
Finished with a gem.

Don't forget to pop over to Our Blog
for more fabulous stamping.
Join us and you could be Chic of the Week
going on to be Guest Designer in March.
Hope to see you there.
Thanks for dropping in.
