What's our TREND this week at Just Us Girls?

Hello and Welcome to my Saturday Post for
It's Trend Week and Hosting is Carol choosing
So what does this mean you say?
They are basically stamps with an outline only.

I took the easy way out with my card just using
the outlined stamps from Repeat Impressions
with no colouring in here. Yay!
The background stamping is on white card stock
with the back matted with SU Rich Razzleberry.
The floral images were also inked with a
Rich Razzleberry ombre ink pad. You may notice
they are slightly different in colour.
The front images are the reverse heat embossed in white
onto Rich Razzleberry matted with white card stock
and popped.
Sentiment is from STAMPloration cut from a JustRite die.
This was all adhered to my white card base.

That's it!
Thanks for dropping in.
Hope you liked what you saw and come join us
in Our Gallery this week and don't forget to
check out what our Guest Julie
and The Team created for your pleasure.

It's a Merry Deer!

Hello and Welcome to today's post for
It's our Holiday Theme this time round and
since I am way behind on Christmas cards -

I enjoyed trying some old and new products
and the result was fun.
The background has some of this and that which includes
Magicals (of course) and some glossy gel medium.
I added white crackle paste from DecoArt
to my ARTplorations deer
and let the red seep through giving it a hint of pink.
This was cut from a postage die in front of
pink card stock and popped
The Merry is cut from mulberry paper
and is from hero Arts.
Card base is Linen stock.

So how are you going with your holiday cards?
If you are thinking like me and need to get cracking
on those holiday cards - please join in
this weeks challenge.
Come over and see what the Team have created
for your inspiration.
Any holiday themed card is welcome in our Gallery.
See yours there???

'Celebrate' with Me.

Time to Celebrate at Just Us Girls
It's a New Month with a New Guest Designer
Welcome to the Super Talented Julie Beech from
https://handcraftedbyjules.blogspot.com/
So happy to have you with us this month!
AND
it's my Birth Month - hence I chose the Word
CELEBRATE! as I am Hosting this week.

This card was made a few months ago
for my Sister's Birthday.
I have seen so many gorgeous cards on Pinterest
with this die - MB Perky Poppy and I knew I wanted
to try it out.
I started with inking my craft mat with
Tim's Oxide Inks in Wilted Violet and Seedless Preserves
on to glossy card stock. Of course I had to have purple tones.
Continued layering and drying
then buffed with paper towel and added Tim's Distress Glaze.
I first cut the poppy out with black card stock and then
again with the three different colours above
to get the ombre effect.
Added a mat behind it in purple
then adhered to Linen card stock.
The 'Celebrate' die is from CUTplorations
cut from leftovers from the flowers.
Finished off with a few purple gems.

Pop over and see how our Guest Julie
and the Team are celebrating.
Please come join us in our Gallery
as I would love to see your 'Celebrate Cards'.
You could be my Chic of the Week and be in the running
as our Guest in November.

Thanks for popping in.
Love reading your comments!

Spring has 'Sprung' in Oz

It's official! It's the 1st September which means
It's SPRING!
Well it is here in Australia. We hopefully say
Goodbye to those Wintery Days and I can get back out to
my very dreary garden and do a tidy up.

Hello and Welcome.
My post  is for the new challenge over at
Crafting with Dragonflies where the theme is
Spring has Sprung!

There are a few new items here beginning with the
beautiful Darling Dog Roses from STAMPlorations.
I heat embossed with white embossing powder then
decided to colour them with Tim's Distress Inks in
Abandoned Coral/Carved Pumpkin and Mowed Lawn.
I got a paintbrush out and flicked some colour to the sides.
The sentiment is also from STAMPlorations -  Bloom Happy.
This was cut from a stitched die.
The background paper is SU.
I recently watched a video with Jennifer McGuire
and she used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Borders
as a background. These were then purchased
and I did likewise adding a bit of interest.

Pop over and see what the Dragonfly Team
made to inspire you.
Hope to see your in the Gallery.

I will be back again later with another Blog Post
so be sure to come back and check it out.
A lot of you will know what it is as it's Saturday!

Till then Cherrio from

Butterfly Bliss

Welcome to a new month of challenges over at
Happy Little Stampers.
We start off with our Watercolour Challenge
and this month's optional twist is
(you're going to love this one)
BUTTERFLY.

There was a lot going on in making this card.
I was trying out some new products and
loved the result I achieved.
Starting with my background which has
Red Wine Metallic Paint and Black Starlight Wax
and has a fabulous sheen to it.
Added some random script. Then heat embossed
my butterfly in charcoal.
Cut that out with a Postage Die
backing it with paper to match.
Sentiment is also from the same paper and is
from CUTplorations.
Added an oval gem to the centre of my butterfly
and finished by adding to my card base.

And don't forget -
Our winner for this challenge will receive a $20 coupon
 to spend at the shop!
Check out all the details HERE.

You're My Style

Hello and Welcome.
Today I have a card for the Retro Rubber Challenge.
I found this great blog a few weeks ago where you
need to use a stamp that is more than a year old.
Now we all have zillions that are tucked away
and just a little bit dusty don't we?
I know a lot of my friends will recognize this stamp.
It's from Gina K Designs - Springtime Silhouettes
and was one of the first stamp sets I bought
way back around 2011.
It was such fun looking through those old stamps
to choose which one to use for their current
RRCB 94
I also decided to use some older Spellbinder Dies
Squares/Lacey Squares and Fancy Tags for the sentiment.
Those fancy shoes were heat embossed in white
on black card stock.
Then I added the backgrounds.
Finished with some ribbon behind my sentiment,
a few liquid pearls and a pink flower to the shoes.

That's it for now.
Thanks for dropping in.
Till next time Cherrio from

School's In!

Hello and Welcome to my card for the
new challenge over at Just Us Girls.
Vicki is Hosting our Photo Week with

Every time I looked at this photo Mo and Jo did a runner
but I persevered and called them back.
I rummaged through my DP box looking for
patterned paper to go in those banners and came across
the perfect piece instead.
I inked up my SU Woodgrain stamp as backing.
I then got out my Jumbo Banners from MFT
and started cutting away.
Added inserts to match the colours and letters in the photo.
Cut out the letters with a SB die with the word STUDY
I needed a little something either side of the banners
so cut out some tiny ones and added rub on numbers.
(these have been in my stash for yeeeeears)
Popped up bits here and there and my card was done.
Card stock used is SU Tip Top Taupe
but certainly didn't photograph well. Sorry.

That's it for today.
Pop over and see what our
August Guest Designer Ros Crawford
and the Team created.

Thanks Ros for the pleasure of seeing
your talents at JUGS this month.

# Popping this over to the current challenge over at
CAS-ual Fridays Blogspot for their
Inspiration Photo Challenge

where school is in full swing here in Oz.

You are 'FABULOUS'

Time for a new Challenge over at
Addicted to Stamps and More and this time round
It's Everyone's Favourite - Anything Goes.
Hello and Welcome to today's Post.
I will admit I have had this card done for
quite some time - just hadn't blogged it so - here it is.
You can all guess what my background is!
Yes Alcohol Inked. Cut with a stitched die.
I decided to add a bit of dimension and
cut out the centre with MFT Peek a Boo Die
and popped it.
Inked the top sentiment onto my white card base
and die cut the fabulous - both from
STAMPlorations. The 'fabulous' has a
touch of shimmer from a Nuvo pen.
And there you have it - pretty simple
but love the bold colours from the AI's.

Pop over and see what my Team Mates created
and come join our Gallery.
Love to see you there.
Thanks for dropping in

Strawberries? Yes Please.

Hello and a Big Welcome.
Today's post is for a couple of challenges
I found while browsing. Something a little
different from flowers and the like.
Well not too far away as it is 'fruit'.
When I saw the challenges for
and my Good Friend Bobby was Hosting
I knew I had a NBUS stamp that was perfect.
Also The Paper Players challenge calls for
I heat embossed my NBUS Repeat Impressions
Strawberry Stamp - 515L
with WOW Metallic Platinium powder
onto water colour paper and coloured
my image with various colours of
red, green,orange and lemon Brusho's.
Added a water wash to the background
with metallic paints.
Attached this to my parchment card base.
I cut a octagon shape from the same card base
and popped it for dimension.
Sentiment stamp is part of a set gifted by a friend
which matched perfectly. Inked in Festive Berries
and heat embossed in clear powder.
Finished with some red twine.

Thanks so much for popping in. Love reading your comments.

It's Colour Week at 'Just Us Girls'

Today's card is for the New Challenge over at
Just Us Girls. Angie is Hosting and
It's a favourite of mine.

With such lovely soft colours I got out a
lovely floral stamp from Carabelle
and coloured with shimmery paints.
I did a wash around the flowers to add interest.
This worked out nicely as it was that shimmer
that gave me the colour choice of my Altenew Sentiment.
Added green beads to the centres, some twine and
popped the framed the flowers.

Pop over and see what our Guest Ros Crawford
and the Team created for your pleasure.
I'm sure you will want to play with this colour choice
but remember to use just the 3 colours. Neutrals are fine.
Hope to see you in our Gallery this week.
Thanks for dropping in.

Cool Guitars for My Man.

Hello and Welcome to today's post.
It's all about the Males this time round as Father's Day is
just around the corner in Australia and
my Hubby's Birthday next week.
Since he loves playing his guitar with his 'old' mates
this is what I chose.
I got out bright coloured Distress inks
in Black Soot/Hickory Smoke/Carved Pumpkin
Fossilized Amber and Peacock Feather.
Simple inked the back background multiple times
from SU Timeless Textures stamps
then my guitars from Inspired by Stamping.
 Added a few 'picks'
You can't play a guitar very well without them!
Sentiments are from STAMPlorations
Oh So Grateful and One Cool Chick
Added some washi tape to the top and bottom.
Cut this out from a stitched die and adhered to
black card base.

The new challenge over at Crafting with Dragonflies
is asking for a 'Guy' card.
Pop over and see what the Designers made and join in.
You have 2 weeks so plenty of time to play.

There are a few others that have the same idea so
will pop this card over to

Retro Rubber Challenge is a new one I just found
and you need to use stamps that are more than a year old.
The main stamp set I used I know is more than 2 years old
as the Owner used to live in Australia but
moved back to America. My background stamp is
also older than a year and is
SU Timeless Textures - now retired.
I went the top line left to right
using a stitched die, washi tape and going masculine.
Details for this challenge are Here

Hope you all have a great week end and
get to do the things you love doing
especially craft!

You TOTALLY Made my Day!

I've been playing for the current challenge over at
CAS-ual Fridays
where we are asked to Stamp a Pattern.
Details Here.
I only have a few of their stamps but knew
the Wonderful Words Set
would suit perfectly.
My inked background was from my Bits Box
which no doubt were in similar colours to what I used
for my Stamped Pattern.
The flowers were inked up with
Tim's Distress Inks in
Dusty Concord/Seedless Preserves
and Peacock Feathers.
The tiny leaves (inked in Memento Teal Zeal)
and dots are from Inspired by Stamping.
Sentiment inked with Dusty Concord.
Added a white mat to the back and adhered to
coloured card base to match.

Friendship Pansies

A CAS card for today's post.
Hello and Welcome.
I got this delightful wee stamp from a
Special Friend (Thanks SS) and is just perfect
for the current challenge over at

The challenge calls for Friendship

I heat embossed the Redletterworks Stamp
with Zing Metallic Purple powder
onto watercolour paper, coloured
the flowers with Twinkling H2O's
and Metallic Paints. The leaves are
coloured with PearlEx Powders.
I cut this with a stitched die popping it slightly
onto another piece of  paper slightly larger.
Finished by popping that on to
Metallic Gold Card Stock.
Why is it always so hard to get a true purple
when you photograph that colour. I did try!

Thanks for dropping in

It's an Oldie but a Goodie

Hi there Crafty Ones.
Over at Just Us Girls it's Trend Week
and Sue has chosen something a little different -
Fast Watercolours!
You may think how does this work?
Here is a link to none other than
Jennifer McGuire's tutorial to showcase how she has done it.
 I played around with an
old technique and an old stamp
to make my fast watercolour flower.
It's from the SU Fifth Avenue Floral Stamp Set.
I heat embossed it with white e/p on glossy paper, then wet
it dropping Calypso Coral/Melon Mambo
and Yo Yo Yellow with a water brush and let it spread
(with a little bit of help) then fussy cut it.
My background is embossed with SU Manhatten Flower.
I then added the sentiment from Pink & Maine.
Attached the Kaisercraft leaves
and popped my flower. Corner rounded one edge
and adhered to Bazzill card stock to match the flower.

Hope you pop over and see how our
August Guest Ros Crawford
and the Team chose to interpret this Trend.
Should be fun to see what transpired
in our Gallery this week.
Thanks for dropping in.
