A Mix Up Watercolour Card

Hi and Welcome. I have a card for you today for the
CAS Mix Up and CAS Watercolour Challenges.
Same card though!
Check out the details for Mix Up Here
We are asked to show how we colour our Dies
and Watercolour Here to Splash Watercolour.
Loll has an easy peasy Tutorial Here
Now those that know me are aware that I love
messing around with all sorts of techniques.
Here is what I came up with -
I am using 'those' SU 4 Feathers Dies
but before I got to them I started with my background.
I inked my craft mat with Tim's Mermaid Lagoon
then added some  Perfect Pearls Powder. All I had to do was
a bit of thumping my watercolour cs onto the mat
and drying as I went along making sure I only covered
part of my paper. It has a real shimmer IRL.
I then cut out my feathers and randomly thumped
parts of the feather. The back one I inked the edges.
My twine wasn't the right colour so I inked that up with
the Mermaid Lagoon (with my fingers)
Yes I had nice coloured fingers when I finished.
The feather were then popped after I added my twine.
Sentiment is from 49 AND Market.

My MIX is -  Die Cuts
Splash Water Colouring
Distress Inks and Powder
Stamping
My CAS is Splash Watercolouring
on the background and cut feathers.

Clean and Simple on Sunday
have also got a CAS Splash Water Colour Challenge
so will pop this over there.

Since it's Winter here in
'The Land Down Under'  it's a great time to play
and I have a few other cards in the finishing stages
so there is more to come for those CAS Challenges.

Once more I will add this over at
Monochrome Magic for their latest Challenge Here
This time not with the twist of 'purple'

Till next time

Celebrate the Season for CAS Christmas

Hello and Welcome
The new challenge over at
and sure to be a big hit with a
favourite Christmas Flower - Poinsettia
to take pride of place for this month.
Check it out Here
Over at Little Red Wagon their Challenge is
Christmas in July so this card will be in both Galleries.

This was the easiest and quickest Christmas card
I have ever made so it's going to be mass produced
for later in the year to help me out 'cause
I am so far behind and I know I will
need them in a hurry.
Here is how I made it.
That beautiful poinsettia is the
I saw Shery - the Owner make a card with this flower
and she stamped the back of the stamp then turned it around
and stamped the correct side off centre a bit and that is
what I have done here. Doesn't it look fabulous!
I used Memento Sweet Plum on the background and
Eldenberry on the main image.
Added some WOS Gold/Green
to the centre berries and Nuvo Glitter Gloss
on the front flowers.
Added my sentiment from
Cut this from a stitched die and attached to
SU Rich Razzleberry card stock.
I refrained from added gems or glossy accents
on those berries and think I did the right thing.

AAA Cards are also celebrating
Christmas in July Here so joining in
their Gallery also.

# Update - and how could I not add this card to the
Monochrome Magic with the
Twist of Purple!
Monochrome as well. Yay!
I do love 'Purple'

Thanks for dropping in.
Love reading your Comments.

Hello and Welcome to my

CITRUS

It's a New Month and our Guest for July is
the Talented Julia Aston from
https://createwithjulia.blogspot.com/
A big Welcome Julia - so happy to enjoy your talents
with us this month.

It certainly isn't icy pole weather here
but more like winter fruits of oranges and mandarins.
Don't have any stamps like that so icy poles it is!
I cut them with the CUTplorations Sweet Cravings die
 from white card stock then
and filled the empty space with some squiggles from
STAMPlorations  Balloons & Banners in matching colours
and inking the edges.
I then had fun with the background with Tim's Oxide Inks.
I added some glossy accents and Nuvo Drops to the icy poles
and bows from Waffle Flower.
My Sweet Sentiment is from CUTplorations also.
Finished by attaching to matching orange card stock.

Thanks for dropping in
Love reading your comments.
Don't forget to pop over to Our Blog
to see Julia and the Team's
Citrus Creations.
Come join us in the Gallery.
You could be our next Chic of the Week
by doing so.

A 'Wild One'

Hello and Welcome to today's post for
I'm Guesting this time round for our New Challenge
and we are looking for Animals.
I went 'WILD' here inking up this Lion
stamp set.
I started the background using
Tim's Oxide Inks in Fossilized Amber
and Spiced Marmalade onto photo paper
smooching and drying as I went along.
I sealed that with Tim's Distress Glaze
which bring the colours back to life.
I then cut a peek a boo frame from MFT
and a stitched die
from watercolour paper and smooched
the same colours as above only in Distress this time.
Add a few splatters of Black Soot.
This was then popped onto black card stock.
Sentiment is from the same stamp set.

Pop over and see what the Dragonfly Designers
created HERE and hope you get time to
join in the Gallery.

I am going to pop this over to the
Anything Goes with an
Optional Twist of Birthday
and the CAS Challenge with Animal
as the Optional Twist.
Got both covered here.

And something a little different for
The Paper Players
Celebration Theme. It's their 400th Challenge

celebrating  with a Lion's Birthday Message.
Thanks for stopping by.

Here is mine.
Wishing Shery the Happiest of Birthday's
and so privileged to be part of her Craft Family.

For my card I chose Shery's
Before I heat embossed it in white I made my background
from Lindy's Magicals in Sweet Violet Purple Teal
(Shery's favourite colour is purple)
and Lucky Shamrock Green with a bit of smooching
and drying as I added colour.
I had some left on a brush so added  tiny splatters.
I then cut several
and added several pearls.
This was then taped to a white background and on to
pearlized card stock.

Here are the products used above.

Cherish - Dream - Live

Hello and Welcome to my Post for today.

Your Choice.
My Choice was to colour my leaf die cuts
using Magicals in 3 slightly different colours,
PearlEx Powder and Artisan Powder
Stamping my Sentiment from Kaisercraft
and scoring using my score buddy.
Sentiment and card stock are from SU in
Calypso Coral and Groovy Guava.

That's it for today but I'll be playing with this challenge
again before the end of the month. I missed last month
as time slipped by me too quickly.
Thanks for dropping in.

A Magical 'Happy Birthday'

Hello and Welcome to today's post for
It's a New Month and a New Challenge for our

I have been having so much fun with new products lately
and my Birthday Card is doing just that.
I recently purchased a couple of  Lindy's Magical Packs
and just like Brusho's - they are addictive.

The beautiful stamp I used is hot out of my mail box
and from STAMPlorations In Bloom - Precious Plumerials
simply heat embossed in white
then the Magic Began.
I spritzed water on my craft mat and added
Hydrangea Blue
smooching and drying as I went along.
Added more colour selectively on some of the flowers.
I then did the same only lightly with
 Lucky Shamrock Green
and coloured the leaves the same.

Here's a close up of the shimmer.

My Birthday Stamp is from Happy Little Stampers
inked with Memento Teal Zeal.
This was cut with a stitched die and adhered to
white card base.
Finished with a few gems.

Don't forget -
Our winner for this challenge will receive a $20 coupon to spend at the shop!

IF YOU USE STAMPS BY HAPPY LITTLE STAMPERS

to dry then placed the stencil over the image
and sponged Blue Craft Wax from Imagination.

from Crafts4You.

The Beautiful Ulysses Butterfly

Hello and Welcome. Today's card is for the current
Double D Challenge where we are to
pick out a Butterfly from this Gorgeous Mood Board.
Details are Here

Now who doesn't have a collection of these beautiful creatures?
I know as soon as I saw this I was going to use my
Australian Nature #1 by Inspired by Stamping set.
You see the butterfly I used is the
Ulysses Swallowtail and is truly a site to see.
I have often seen them fly through my daughter's back yard
in Tropical North Queensland.
I went cas here as I wanted the feature to be
THAT beautiful butterfly.
I used Linen card stock as my base and
attached some Kaisercraft DP.
I then lightly stamped the orchids on top.
Once more I am using a new die I got
a few weeks back from Uniquely Creative -
Crosshatch Texture
I heat embossed my butterfly with Ranger Copper Powder
then went on to colour her using a variety of mediums
including - Rustic Brown Metallique Paint,
Imagination Crafts Wax in Black and Blue,
PearEx Powder #681 (blue/green)
even a touch of Magicals. All in all
I have a lovely shimmery butterfly.
This was fussy cut and popped.
The sentiment is from the same set and
using the same embossing powder and
cut from a MFT stitched die and slightly popped.

Thanks for dropping in today
and leaving your comments.

'Hooting' For You.

Hello And Welcome to today's post
which is for Just Us Girls Photo Challenge.
Our Host is  Maria choosing this
cutiest of images below.

I decided to go with that cute owl and a few of the colours.
I was at a craft show last week end and picked up this owl die.
from Couture Creations.
Also trying out other new goodies is the background
which is made with Magicals in Screamin' Banshee Black.
I so love the outcome with the shimmery blue -
perfect night time scene. And so my card was born.
I cut out a backdrop showing a big moon for my owl sitting on a
nesting die from Uniquely Creative showing then
added some punched stars from a metallic paper.
My owl was cut from black card stock and again
in white and orange for the eyes and nose.
After that was attached I then added branches from
Tim's Holiday Greens and an old MS punch.
Finished that with a button threaded with cotton
and new sentiment die from Impression Obsession.
Added a frame in the same metallic paper as the stars
and adhered to black card base.

Hope you will pop over to Our Blog
to see what our Guest Hannelie and the Team
created for your pleasure.
Hope to see you in our Gallery.

I am popping this cute owl card over to
The Card Concept for their cute owl image also.

Thanks for dropping by today.
