Hello 'Beautiful'

Hello and Welcome to today's post.
It's my turn to Host for our Trend Week at
Just Us Girls
I chose Bleach as it is a technique I haven't tried before
and I know it has been around for an age.
I'm afraid my card didn't photograph too well.
I think the metallic shimmer made it tricky.
The beautiful Lily Stamp and Sentiment
I used here are from STAMPlorations
 Smile and Hello Coffee
I heat embossed my flower with
Lindy's Pumpkin Fiesta
and then worked on bleaching.
When that was dry I added colour with
some metallic paints. This was cut from
a Spellbinder die with SU Groovy Guava
card stock - same as my base.
I popped that onto some metallic paper
attaching some ribbon to the side.
Sentiment was inked with
SU Calypso Coral. Finished with pearls.

Hope you can pop over and see what our
November Guest Claire and my Team Mates
created for your pleasure and get time
to get out some bleach from the laundry
and play with us this week.
Look forward to seeing you in our Gallery.

Thanks for dropping in and leaving
such kind comments.

A Very Special 'THANK YOU'

Hello and Welcome to a Special Post.
Each year I make a card with Poppies
for Remembrance Day in Australia.

Image result for remembrance day

This post is a few days early but thought it
perfect for our Anything Goes with Dies at

I kept it CAS using a background
done with predominately Red Alcohol Inks on Yupo Paper.
I cut the Perky Poppy from my Memory Box Die
and attached to the background.
Added a frame and a simple Thank You
sentiment in gold.
Pop over and see more die cuts from my Team Mates

Time to Give 'Thanks'

November has come around and it is time for our
New CUTplorations Challenge over at
Hello and Welcome to today's Post.

I started my card by smooching a background with
Lindy's Magical's in Rose Pink then stenciled
with ARTplorations Droplets with clear embossing powder.
My background for the floral stamp was sponged with
Tim's Abandoned Coral, Carved Pumpkin,
Fired Brick and Ripe Persimmon
I then got out my Bloom Sketches and randomly
stamped again using  Ripe Persimmons in a shadow effect.
I added glossy accents to the centre of the main flower
 and while wet sprinkled with
 Stampendous Aged Copper Embossong Enamel
but did not melt it.
Added a touch of Nuvo Crystal Glaze to the other two flowers.
I added a small frame in a lighter pink then popped
to my droplet background and finally to
SU Groovy Guava card base.
Finished with my Thanks sentiment from
and some scattered pearls.

in Coral Reef  for more colour on the centre leaves.

I Can Hear 'MUSIC'

Hello and Welcome to my Saturday post for
As it is a new month we have
 Claire Garland from https://stringbows.blogspot.com/
as our November Guest. Welcome Claire and
we look forward to you sharing your talent with us this month.
***
Sue is Hosting our Word Week and has chosen MUSIC!
Now I have The Beach Boys song I Can Hear Music
running in my head. Thanks Sue. I do love their music though.
Guess I am showing my age here LOL

Now the Beach Boys couldn't make music
without their guitars could they?
So that instrument was mandatory on my card.
I went a bit grungy here inking some stamps from
STAMPlorations with Tim's Distress Inks.
My guitar is heat embossed in copper
and from Inspired by Stamping.
Cut this out with a stitched die matted
on red and attached to black card base.
Pretty simple really.
Pop over and see what our
New Guest for November Clair Garland
and the Team created and come join us
in our Gallery.

Thanks for dropping in.
Love reading your comments.

A 'RRRUFF Day!

Hello and Welcome to today's post for
It's a New Month so that means
New Challenges starting with our
Watercolour Challenge.
Our optional twist for November is GET WELL.

I decided to ink up an old stamp
and have a bit of fun with it.
I started by scrunching up some dampened card stock
and inking with Tim's Distress inks then straighten
it out for a backing for my 'Get Well' image/wishes.
I smooched colours on my water colour paper
in sky and dirty colours then stamped
my image and sentiment. Added a
touch of grunge for the dog to sit on.
Cut this with a stitched die and added a tiny
white mat to the back then on to my background.
Attached to brown card base

Our winner for this challenge will receive a $20 coupon to spend at the shop!
Check out all the details HERE
IF YOU USE STAMPS BY HAPPY LITTLE STAMPERS
AND YOU ARE OUR RANDOM WINNER,
YOUR PRIZE WILL BE DOUBLED!

It's Anything Goes at Addicted to Stamps and More

Hello and Welcome to today's post for the
New Challenge over at Addicted to Stamps and More
and it's our favourite Anything Goes.

I recently bought a lovely Penny Black stamp
called Full of Glee and wanted to try iyt out
and so resulted in today's card.
I saw a lovely card on Pinterest by Loll Thompson
and my inspiration came from her beautiful CAS card
Here using this same stamp.
I chose a favourite colour (similar to Loll's) to paint my flowers
SU Calypso Coral with the centres Tim's Fossilized Amber.
The leaves - Mowed Lawn and stems Gathered Twigs.
I added a touch of shimmer to the flowers with
WOS Clear Glitter.
The flowers were heat embossed with WOW Metallic Platinum.
Splattered some spots and inked sentiment
from Happy Little Stampers in Calypso Coral.
This was cut from a stitched die and adhered to
SU Groovy Guava card base.

Pop over and see what my Talented Team Mates have made
and come join us in the Gallery this week.
No excuse as is the AG Challenge!

A Special Christmas CUTplorations Release Blog Hop

Hello and Welcome to a
Special CUTplorations Christmas Release
and Blog Hop.

I had so much fun with a few of the fabulous new
Christmas Dies below that I landed up making three cards.

Aren't They GORGEOUS!

As this is a long post I will give you a quick rundown
on how I made these cards.
Card #1 The background was simply made by adding
cyan and lavender pearl pigment powder
to gel medium and layering it with a brush.
The deer and sentiment is cut from gold paper.
Added a gold frame and attached to white card base.
Card #2 was fiddly as I as I adhered silver flakes
to my die cut deer. Won't do that again in a hurry.
The background was from my bits box
and leftovers from smashing metallic paint
and a touch of Iridescent Medium
Added my sentiment and adhered to card base.
Card #3 I stenciled my background
and distressed the edges. The deer was cut from red card stock
and inked with Hero Art Unicorn Pigment Ink and popped.
Added a few die cut snowflakes and
part of the new Christmas Die.
Finished with sequins and gems and adhered to card base.

It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like - yes Christmas!

Hello and Welcome to today's post for
Just Us Girls

Vicki is our Host this week and chosen this
awesome Christmas Themed Photo.

So many elements you can choose from here.
What caught your eye?

I went with the colour in the background
and tried a new way with shaving cream.
You ink your acrylic block then add the shaving cream
scloosh (is that a word?) then swipe it on to
your card stock. Wipe away the excess and repeat
if you need to. I used Tim's Festive Berries.
To add a bit of interest I then randomly inked a
SU stamp that looked like snow
with Memento Rhubarb and heat embossed Silver
around the middle.
Attached my glittery Kaisercraft Die Cuts
adding some Starform stickers to hang them.
Finished with the Starform Merry Christmas sentiment.
Funny how those out of vogue stickers
still come in handy sometimes.
Oh and there are 2 gems attached to the gems.

Pop over and see what our Guest Linda
and the Gang created.
Hope you can spare a wee bit of play time
to add your card to our Gallery.
Thanks for dropping in.

Craft Heaven!
Just a few shots from their vast supplies!

 and our Afternoon Tea.

I don't officially start till November but
I am playing with the October Mood Board
to get me started.

It's an amazing new adventure for me getting
involved with Mixed Media.
I have only delved in it is a small way
with my card making but now I
want to venture further with all the textures,
paints etc and get messy along the way.
You will get to see me branch out away from
just cards in the future but for now -
Here is my finished project.

A quick rundown on products I used
From Art & Soul Studio -
Studio Light Stencil - MASKMM17
Tim Holtz Stone
Carabelle SA70134 Stamp.
Other supplies -
Dutchdoobadoo Pop Art Stencil
Gelatos, Brusho's, Gel Medium
Sizzix Embossing Folder
CUTplorations Dies

As this was NOT my first attempt
I did not photograph or write down all the products I used here.
I wasn't even sure if this one would turn out.
I will admit I am happy with the end result this time.
Next time will be more informative.

That's it for now. Thanks so much for hanging in

It's Colour Week at JUGS

Hello and Welcome.
It's Saturday and time for the latest challenge at
It's our Colour Week and Hosting is Lisa.

I hope you aren't getting sick of seeing
Lindy's Magicals but again they were perfect
here for smooching my background.
I then cut out a large Spellbinder Circle to
act as a frame for the Kaisercraft Daisy
which was cut from mulberry paper, adding
a second head to the bottom to act as grass.
Applied some Liquid Pearls to the centres.
Sentiment is from Impression Obsession on white card stock.
Simply finished by attaching to purple card base.
