Take a 'BOW'

It's WORD WEEK at Just Us Girls
and Hosting is Lisa who want to see
A BOW on our creations.

As it's a new month we have our February Guest
Betty Jacobson joining us.
Welcome Betty.
You can check out her Blog Here
My ribbon stash has been  neglected
for such a long time so it was nice to
unwrap the one I used here.
 It blended nicely with my
SU Rich Razzleberry card.
That ink pad would have been my
very first favourite from SU and still is
one I go to often.
My card is a really simple one but I think
with that big bow - packs a punch!
I even had to check out how to use my bow easy again.
The stamp set I used is Fresh Vintage
stamping multiple times. Added some SU punching
attached that beautiful big bow and finished off with
my Happy Birthday sentiment from STAMPlorations Party Time.
Pop over and see what our February Guest Betty Jacobson
and the Team chose to showcase their bows
and then add yours to our gallery.
You could be our Chic of the Week going on to be
in the running for Guest Spot in April.

Thanks for dropping in

XOXO For You

Welcome to February at Happy Little Stampers
and first up is our Watercolour Challenge
We are an Anything Goes Challenge and each month
we have an Option to choose if you wish
and this month is
  BLING!
and who doesn't love that!

Once again I had fun with Lindy's Magical Powders
smooching, drying with different colours.
I adhered my popped, corner rounded watercoloured piece
to cream card stock, attached a metallic heart die
and the xoxo (using a mix of Magical's)
Finished with some bling by adhering
purple glitter to the back of some gemstones
and my card is complete.
Pop over and see what my Team Mates created
and come join in the glitter this month.
Hope to see you in the Gallery.

It's CAS 'Gorgeous'

Hey there! Time for our New Challenge over at
It's an easy one for some and others find it hard
to NOT keep adding to their projects. Which one are you?

I recently bought the Retired SU Heartfelt Blooms
and knew this would be the perfect CAS needed
for this week's Challenge.
All I had to do was ink up that gorgeous stamp
using VersaFine Clair Monarch
(I find these stamp pads perfect for their rich colours
and everything comes out clearly with very little effort)
Finished with stamping my sentiment from
MFT and STAMPlorations.
Added a white frame and attached to
purple card base.
Perfectly CAS don't you think?

Don'r forget to pop over and see what The Team created
and come join us in the Gallery,
Thanks for dropping in

When I saw this challenge my choice was to go with
Colourful Grunge as I love that style.

I did have a lot of fun with this as I had no idea
what the end result would be.
I used a variety of Lindy's Magical's for my background
and umteen stencils and stamps -
too many to mention for my layout.

Pop this on your blog to find us fast!

Over at The Sisterhood of Crafters their challenge is
Newly Acquired Stash

Heartfelt Thanks

It's Saturday and that means time for my Post for
Vicki is our Host this week and it's
sure to be a favourite
as we all love Butterflies!
I wanted to make a card with Designer Paper
that had butterflies on it and
rummaging through my box of loose papers
I came across the pretty paper I used  here.

I thought it perfect to try out my new
Nesting Dies from CUTploratons
and framed them in a matching pink colour.
I had also planned to add a die cut butterfly
but thought the dp showed them off
so nicely, I added some Nuvo Shimmer to them instead.
Finished with a popped STAMPlorations sentiment
and a tiny heart.
Pop over and check out all the fluttering butterflies
from our Guests Mary and Hannelie
and of course my Team Mates.
On our Blog and come join us this week.
Love to see you there.
A Big Thank You to Mary and Hannelie for
Guesting with us. It has been wonderful having you
 share your talents with us.
Thanks for dropping in today.

It's in the 'Pink'

Today's post is for the current challenge at
CAS Stencil being hosted by Nancy

I have quite a few 'new' ones that need some inking
and finally chose ARTplorations Molecules
inking with Memento Angel Pink and
die cut. I then inked up my
Rubbernecker Floral with Tim's Picked Raspberry
 adding Versamark and sprinkled with
Wow Shocking Pink Embossing Glitter for sparkle.
A touch of Iridescent Medium was added to the background.
I attached this to bright pink card stock.
I saw a card that Carol Mayne had made by
embossing a stencil. I had never seen this before
so gave it a try and the same stencil is attached
to my card base. Thanks Carol for this great idea.
Finished with a simple STAMPlorations Hello.

Here's a close up to show you the embossed stenciling.

Thanks for dropping in.
Till next time Cherrio from

Added them to the Henna embossed background
by Darice. Punched out a few smaller flowers
adding gems to the centres.
Finished off with my sentiment from
STAMPlorations Fluttery.

I'm 'Addicted' Again

Hello and Welcome to my post for today.
It's for the first Challenge of the Year over at
Addicted to Stamps and More
and I am so happy to tell you
I am back Designing with the Girls again and
even more special is my great friend Aussie Annie

Your entry MUST contain the use of anything
that can make a mark -
Stampin' Write, Copics, Promarkers, Painting, Chalks,
Watercolours, Sponges, Stencils, Masks etc etc

I made a similar watercolour card Here a few weeks ago
and while I had my Lindy's Powders out I created this card also.
I only used Magnolia Magenta Gold for my 'mark'
smooching and using the cut piece from a
peek a boo die and embossing with
We R Memory Keepers Geometric Embossing Folder
and popped.
 White background was also embossed
I cut out my dies in white and
added a few centre bits from the colourful leftovers
including the Crafts4U sentiment.
A tiny Waffle flower bow and a few pearls
completed my card and attached to white base.

Hop on over and see what the rest of the Team created.
Hope you get a chance to join us this week.

Sending this card over  to the
CAS Watercolour Challenge

at CAS Watercolour Blog
and using the same sentiment die
for my second card at The Sisterhood of Crafters

What's 'Trending' at Just Us Girls

Hello and Welcome to Trend Week at
Just Us Girls. Hosting this Challenge is Maria
and wants to see Dimension.
I think I covered that here -

I started my background with Tim's THS102 layering stencil
with Rusty Patina Paste then added some strips of
scrap Designer Paper. Cut out a MFT stitched frame
and added leaves from Carta Bella Spring Greenery.
Topped it with a pretty Kaisercraft flower.
Added some tiny punched flowers with Nuvo stone drops
in the centre. Finished with my Crafts4U sentiment.

Pop over and see how our Guests Mary and
joining us for the rest of the month also is Hannelie Bester
with the Team showing how dimensional they were.
Join us and you could be our Chic of the Week
and be our Guest in March.

You're Special

Hello there! Welcome to my Blog.
How often do you make a card for a specific challenge,
leave it overnight then finish it off the next day
and then find out it is suitable for another?
Doesn't happen to me very often but this card did just that.
It's for the Cool Colours Challenge
and the CAS Stencil Challenge using a

This card was started specifically for the WC Challenge
but after looking at how plain the front was I thought it
needed a little something - hence the random stenciling
(I know it's only an itsy bitsy bit)
with white texture paste. It's
Tim Holtz - THS102 Layering Stencil
and purchased just before Christmas after I saw
a girlfriend use it - and had to have.
This was when I decided to add it to the Stencil Challenge above.
Thistle image is from Lavinia Stamps, heat embossed in black
and coloured with Lindy's Magical's in
Witch's Potion Purple and Cathedral Pines Green.
I cut out the front with MFT Peek a Boo square die
and went my merry way and popped it to my Thistle
forgetting that I hadn't added
my STAMPlorations sentiment - bummer.
That meant I needed to die cut it
just in case my stamping didn't turn out.
Adhered it to white card base.
I will keep this card and give it to my sister
for her birthday in a few months time.
I'll be back before the end of the month to
play again and with more stenciling lol.

Happy 1st Birthday to CAS Stencil Challenge
Where did that 12 months go?
Congratulations Loll and everyone involved
over the past year. You have done an amazing job
and  I am sure we will see you around for
so many more encouraging us to
put our stencils to good use.
Thanks Bunches!

Till next time - Cherrio from

Life is a BEACH

Hello and Welcome.
The first challenge for the year at CAS Mix Up Challenge
is up and running and what a fun one it is.

Have you tried this technique before?
There are Links to help you get inspired.
Check it all out Here

Here's what I came up with -

It's certainly beach weather here in Australia as we are
experiencing scorching hot days and when I saw the
Inkadinkado Flamingo Fun stamp set I thought it perfect -
just had to work out how to do a Partial Die Cut.
I went with this one from Jennifer McGuire.
First off  I coloured the heat embossed flamingo using
Nuvo Catherine Wheel with a water pen,
the hat and bag with Tim's Oxide Salty Ocean
and the hat trim and flowers with
Finnabair Fresh Orange Metallique Paint.
This was partially die cut with Spellbinders Hexagon Die
moving it along to cut the other side.
That didn't look right so I hand cut
the left side of the flamingo.
Heat embossed the sentiment from the same set.
I thought the flamingo needed some sand to stand on so
added Sandstone Brusho's to Distress Grit Paste
and carried it over to the background.
This was smooched with the salty ocean oxide ink
as is the side of the flamingo.
Again I thought there was something missing
so added some stitching from one of the
Lawn Fawn Stitched borders.
It's a little hard to see but the partial die cut flamingo is popped.

My Mix is - Partial Die Cutting, Stamping,
Watercolour smooching, Texture.

Till next time! Cherrio from

It's Lemonade Weather in Oz

The heading really says it all for me!
Welcome to my post for the day.
What an amazing Mood Board below
Congratulations Dianne and Darlene and not forgetting
the Talented Designers for showing off their Works of Art!

I was super excited when I saw it - so tropical
and then the stamp/die set for the Winner.
Perfect for me to ink up that very stamp
I bought months ago at my Annual Craft Show.
Shame I didn't see the die that goes with it.
It never got used for the challenge
so time to get it inky here.
Of course we all have those 'out of vogue' punches
that lay sleeping in our drawers - another great time
to get them out of hibernation for this challenge.
I used a Martha Stewart punch on mine.
I think she was Queen Punch way back as we all
'had to have them'

It's a pretty simply card focusing on
that Lawn Fawn stamp set. Of course I went
with the bottom left for the colours!
Card base is from yellow Bazzill card stock.
Embossed the white card stock, inking up those
baby lemons at the bottom.
Adhered a scrap piece of colourful dp.
I used SB circle dies on top with the inked glass of lemonade.
My 'straw' was cut from a paper clip.
Fussy cut and popped the jug. Added some
glossy accents for 'fizz'.
Attached tiny pearls to the MS punch.
STAMPlorations sentiment I thought perfect!

Hope you like my summery card.
Thanks for dropping by.

How good is that!
A Huge Welcome to the Team Cecile.

we have this month - Mary Deatherage
Our other Guest will join us next week.

Angie is Hosting and my Team Mates are
in the midst of Winter and maybe snowflakes abound
while I swelter in the Aussie Summer.

I made my snowy card as part of my much smaller Christmas card makes
and I do love using snowflakes -
the colours are mostly in the blue/white and so cooling.
It was an easy card to make.
Snowflakes are heat embossed and by SU.
The background is smooched with
Lindy's Magical Shaker in Afternoon Delight Denim
and has this lovely shimmer to it.
Sentiment is from Happy Little Stampers.
I corner rounded and inked the edges and attached
to white card base.

Pop over and see what our January Guest  Mary Deatherage
and the Team have created this week and come join us for
our first challenge of the year.
You could be chosen as our Chic of the Week
and in the running for a Guest Spot in March.
Hope to see you in the Gallery.
