A Red Red Rose!

Which picture caught your eye on this Mood Board
our Host Vicki at Just Us Girls chose for this weeks Challenge?
Scroll down for the big picture!

The roses got mine and I went deep into
my stamp stash and found a very old one
from I don't know where but -  the rose is stunning
and the wording Belle Jardin is French for Beautiful Garden.

Here's a closer look!

Heat embossed then coloured the rose and leaves with
Nuvo Shimmer Powders in Catherine Wheel and Green Parade
spreading the colours behind the rose image.
After looking at it I decided that what went over the edges
would make a perfect background,
adding a small black frame and
on to white card base. Needing something else
I slipped a small piece of inked paper to the side.
Head over to Our Blog and check out what
our Guest Karen and the Team picked out
from the Mood Board. You will be delighted as always.
Hope to see you in our Gallery this week.

Leave a little 'Sparkle'

It's Saturday and that's Just Us Girls Challenge Day
I had a fun and messy afternoon after seeing a
'new to me' technique on YouTube.
It's Hot Glue Embossing and thought it would be
something different for our Word Week
hosted by Carol Mc choosing 'Sparkle'

and a closer look at the 'sparkle'

It does look just like a big mess that went wrong but -
I made quite a few. Some turned out,
others hmm! Just had to pick which one I liked
and go from there.
This was soooooooooo hard to photograph
to show the 'sparkle' (I tried)
I think the sparkly embossing powder
may have been a little too fine.
Background is smooched Magical's.
Dribbled hot glue and thought I would try and add foil
which worked out nicely then I smothered it with
very fine sparkly embossing powder.
Added a small frame behind it with the same paper
as my metallic base only a lighter weight.
After much searching I finally found a sentiment
that fitted the challenge perfectly -
Tim's Small Talk.

Decided to show another since I had several
sitting on my desk.
This is a little different - not sparkly as such
It was heat embossed in copper and added
Stampendous embossing enamel which highlighted
the sheen from the Magical's background.
Distressed the edges, added a sentiment,
framed in metallic paper and finished with
the bright card base.

What a fabulous challenge. Hope to see
lots of sparkle in all forms in the Gallery.
Thanks for visiting

Love U

Welcome to our February Challenges at
Valentine's Day will be in vogue so we have
HEARTS! as our Theme for this one.

Had lots of fun mixing things up here
moving away from the traditional  'heart' type card.
Added heart and love die cuts, dp's,
u die from an old CB  set, cheesecloth.
Background has a patterned cover plate
which is a little hard to see, attached to white card base.
Head over to  Our Blog as
my Sistahs have gone all out creating
an amazing variety of Heart Themed cards
you really are going to love!
Our Gallery will be a flutter of  'hearts'
and I look forward to checking them all out.
Will yours be there?
Thanks for taking time out to visit.

In the 'Pink' at Christmas Craft Creations

It's time for our New Challenge at Christmas Craft Creations
and this month we are going pink.

I love using kraft paper as it goes so nicely with pink.
I saw this card over on Pinterest quite a long time ago
 took my inspiration from that.
Used Spellbinders dies for my snowflake,
inked background in Versafine from retired SU Snow Burst,
sentiment backed with pink strips, misted with perfect pearls
 and sequins to complete.
Pop over and see what my Team Mates created using pink
and come join in by adding yours to our Gallery.
Love to see you there.

Let it Snow!

Don't you love it when you find a challenge by accident
and something already in your bits box fits?

That is exactly what happened when I went to
comment on a fellow DT card.
Leanne DT member of Krafty Chicks Challenge
blew me away with her beautiful purple Christmas Card
I just had to finish it off  and
enter into their Gallery - then add to my 2023 Christmas cards.

Background is smooched with Lindy's Magical's
Trees stars and deer are Tim's Great Outdoors.
with a bit of heat embossed glitter.
Snow is roughed up texture paste and glitter.
Distressed the edges, matted on brown and
white card base.
Sentiment is from Happy Little Stampers.

so popping this over to their Gallery.
Thanks for taking time out to visit.

With Love!

Sue is Hosting this week at Just Us Girls
and is looking for Hearts!

You can never send too much Love can you?

I hadn't intended my heart to be so "redish' but
the Lindy's Bougainvillea Fuchsia
has a mix of red/pink and purple.
I die cut an old Cuttlebug heart, flowers
and heart heads from the mix.
There is also a white cut out heart in the background
and scored behind that for extra interest.
Die cut a few extra heart stems in white
and a flourish from Fancy That.
Sentiment from STAMPlorations,
a few splatters and tiny pearls to finish.
Head over and see how our Guest Jules
and the Team used their 'Hearts'
perfect for those that create cards for
Valentine's Day coming up -
so come join in with yours to our Gallery.
We would love to see you there.

Sending this over to the  Romantic Challenge #229
Going with Middle Row Down
Hearts - Free - Shades of Red

Thanks for visiting.

Be True to You!

It's our first challenge for the New Year at
we are starting off with
  Something New!
With so many new craft items either bought
or gifted the fun of choosing could be hard.

My Something New is
The stamp I used here bought
late last year after seeing a card
made by our Sistah Annie.
It's Timeless Tulips from Dark Room Door.
Background is inked up with
Tim's Ox inks, stenciling (new) and stamping from
AALL&Create.
Fussy cut the tulips inked, heat embossed
and slightly popped.
Framed and adhered to white card base.

first time inking with Versafine Clair Nocturne
and heat embossed onto a background
from my bits box.
Added some splatters and a simple sentiment.
Framed and onto black card base.
Head over and see what my sistahs created.
We would love to see your
'Something New' in our Gallery.
