Hey there Crafty Ones.
Today's post is for the current challenge over at
Shopping Our Stash and they are asking us to use our
Stashed Stencils and thanks to being on the DT at STAMPlorations
I have plenty to choose from don't I Chris!!
I have plenty to choose from don't I Chris!!
They seem to be the ones I go to all the time
and don't need dusting off.
and don't need dusting off.
The decision was which ones to choose...
I chose 3 but a little disappointed that the main
glittered butterfly stencil faded into the oxide background.
The first stencil I added was
ARTplorations Square Dance followed by
ARTplorations Bloom Factory and lastly
ARTplorations Flutterbuy (Out Of Stock)
I added white texture paste to my butterfly stencil
and while wet sprinkled glitter on to it.
The background flowers/circles were inked with
Tim's Oxide Seedless Preserves.
My cut sentiment is from CUTplorations
and small sentiment by
STAMPlorations It's All About You Set.
That's it for this one but hoping to get time
to play with my stencils some more.
Thanks for dropping in -

Beautiful project, love the colours and how you layered the stencils. Thanks for playing along with the Stencil challenge at Shopping Our Stash.
Great use of mixed media products and these stencils. Yes I know what you mean when the image/stencil work etc blends back into the card because of the inks but in your case I think the effect is gorgeous. Beautiful card x
I love the effect that the butterfly stencil did, by picking up the ink from underneath, it gives the glittery butterflies unique colors that blend with the background and allow the sentiment to pop. Great job!
Great use of those stencils, Ina! I love your colors, and I do see that butterfly. It's faint, but I think that the faintness adds to the charm. I don't use stencils very much, but I am always pleased when I see what they can do. Thanks for the inspiration, this is an awesome card!
A wonderful stencil design. I just love the colors and the glittery look on your card. This is so beautiful!
Oooh, had to come over to see this inky goodness! Such a treat for my eyes-- total eye candy! I think your butterfly turned out just fine, even though out is a little subdued! It's perfectly springy! Thanks for starting at Shopping Our Stash!
I've never thought of layering stencil over stencil, Ina. It looks fabulous especially with one layer being glittered.
Your card is very pretty! Thank you for sharing it with us at Shopping Our Stash! Cyndi, DT
So sorry, Ina, I'm playing catch up from being out of town last week. Your card is stunning! Love the stencils, the colors and the sparkle! Thanks for joining in the fun at Shopping Our Stash!
