Just 'Adding Inks'

There is a beautiful Inspiration Photo over at
Just Add Ink and does have my favourite colour
so I though I would play with a new stamp set I received purchased.
Also over at The Card Concept purple is there too
so double the fun!

Here is the first one from Just Add Ink
Details are HERE
I tried to duplicate this as much as I could with the
purple in the cup the gold edges and the
wooden board it is sitting on.
The same goes for this gorgeous photo
with the purple haze and gold background for
the Card Concept.
Details for this one are HERE

I startes with Grey c/s
adding scrap pieces of DP
My cup and sentiment are from STAMPlorations Always Tea Time
heat embossed on DP  and cut from MFT Stitched Die
Backed in gold with Spellbinder Die and sponged.
Added touches of Inka gold.
This was popped in front of scrap dp. Scalloped
border is from MFT.
I was a little disappointed I should have used a larger
sentiment. I curved it on my Stamp Positioner but
didn't quite work out how I wanted.
Finished with some pearls.

Thanks for dropping in today.
Love reading your comments.

Hosting this weeks Trend Challenge is Sue
choosing Multi Step Stamping.
With so many of this type of stamp on the market today
it is no surprise just how popular this trend is.

I have a few multi step stamps  but chose to use an old favourite
from Stampin' Up called Lotus Blossom.
They have made this stamp the easiest one to do this technique with
Maybe that is another reason why I chose it.
To go with a favourite stamp I went with a
favourite colour - yes it is purple again sigh!
I've had a sneek peek at what the other Jugheads
made and you are in for a surprise - can't say any more.

On to how I put my card together -
Basic coloured card stock throughout.
My flower was coloured with
Memento Lulu Lavender Sweet Plum
and New Sprout and
Eldenberry (sentiment)
This was cut from the stitched circle die from MFT
I backed this by stenciling lightly with the

Sailing Away

It's
and Hosting and choosing our word 'SEA'  is Nancy.
A Big Welcome to our April Guest - Laurie Unger

I decided to go all at SEA for my card.
Now you don't see much but that boat
wouldn't be there if there wasn't any
and the map surrounded by it - right!

A pretty simple card - a bit male-ish
which is good 'cause we all need to do them from time to time.
My ship is by Prima Marketing and framed with
Spellbinder Dies. The DP is from SU Going Places
stamped on to cotton trim. Added some brads to the frame.
That's it!
Pop over to Our Blog to check out
how our  April Guest Laurie
and the Team chose to use the Word SEA.
Thanks for dropping in. Love reading your comments.

#400 Cupcake Celebrations

There are 400 Reasons to Celebrate at
and the Reason for this is they are celebrating their
Congratulations on achieving such a Huge Milestone

I chose this Challenge as my Inspiration
using products by
as they are one of the Sponsors
and as part of the STAMPloration Team as a Guest Designer.

I am a little disappointed that my daisies look to be
overpowered by the DP I used for the pocket. IRL they are darker.
I started with choosing black card stock as my base
then got out my supplies.
I have used ARTplorations Plaid Maker and
STAMPlorations Vignette Chevron & Arrows
as  my background inked with Memento New Sprout/Dandelion
My daisies are STAMPlorations Pocket Bloom/Die
and inked with Tom Bow Markers.
I cut my Happy from CUTplorations Happy
using DP from Kaisercraft Art of Life
which was also used for the pocket and
the strip on the side.
The Birthday sentiment is also from the
Chevron & Arrows stamp set.
Finished off with some spritzing in black.

Spread Your Wings and Fly

It's Photo Week at Just Us Girls and Hosting is
Vicki choosing -

I'm afraid I didn't have a teapot in my collection so
went away from that and choosing the teapot colours
as my background. I found 2 matching coloured scrapbook papers
and cut them out with  a Spellbinder Square die
corner rounding 2 sides of each square.
These were popped onto white card stock that has been
cut with a stitched die.
Now the fun part - my butterfly
I got out various coloured distress inks similar to the
photographed butterfly and smooched them onto
card stock then cut the butterfly from a Kaisercraft die.
This was then heat embossed with clear powder
giving my butterfly a lovely shine.
The sentiment is from Gina K and
finished off with a few pearls.

Thanks for dropping in on my blog today
and hope you will check out what
our March Guest Nance and the Team created
Here and come join us.
You could be chosen as Chic of the Week
and then in the running for our
Guest Designer in May.
Thank you Nance for treating us to
seeing what a talented designer you are.

It's Colour Week at Just Us Girls

Time for our Colour Challenge at
Just Us Girls and Hostess for this week is
Our Lovely Lisa.
choosing the colours below.
Now as most of you know purple is my
favourite (and Judy's) colour so this pleased me no end.
***
This is a fairly simple card in which I used metallic paper.
I cut out a corner with a SB die to lay my flowers into.
I inked up some water colour paper
with TH Victorian Velvet/Seedless Preserves
and Spun Sugar adding a small amount
of Iridescent Medium for a bit of shimmer.
I then  punched the flowers with
my MS poinsettia punches
(something I haven't used in ages)
randomly putting them in their place.
Added some grey leaves and fern.
I found this tiny piece of silver corrugated cardboard
in my bits box and cut my XOXO
and cutting a second one in grey cs for backing.
I finished off with added gems and sequins
in colours to match.
***
Hope you will pop over to
Our Blog to see how these fabulous colours
inspired our March Guest Nance and
my Team Mates then join us. In doing so
you could be chosen as Chic of the Week.

Thanks for dropping in today.

It's your 'Mid Month Reminder' for STAMPlorations

Time flies when you are having fun and sadly
my time as a Guest Designer for the
is coming to an end.
So here is your reminder that you still have a little time
to get your CAS card in for this months challenge.
(Don't forget there are prizes to be won)

I wanted to feature the new stamp set
STAMPlorations/CUTplorations Pocket Blooms
Starting with my white card base I then
cut my backing with a sizzix die
inking it up using ARTploration Plaid Maker
with Memento Spun Sugar.
I added Memento Victorian Velvet onto my craft sheet
spritzing and smooched it onto white card then
heat embossed the daisies in white onto that.
My denim pocket was inked and cut from blue paper
adding the XOXO using Memento London Fog.
I then attached some blue ribbon, popping my flowers
and denim pocket.
Added the sentiment also from the same stamp set
and a few hearts to finish.

preview-PocketBlooms-Sherypreview-stencil119-PlaidMaker

While I had the Pocket Blooms stamp set out
I thought I would try and make this card
a little different.
The background is stenciled with ARTplorations Zen Hearts
with Tim Holtz Distress inks
and after colouring in my daisies I popped it
onto the front. Now my something different
is that I cut out the denim pocket with blue paper
and then again with denim material to which I
tried distressing it by cutting the material and
adding ink to give it a worn look.
I added stitches with a white gel pen.
Sentiment is also from the above stamp set.

I am popping the top card Here for the

Also to all the STAMPlorations gals - a big Thank You

It's 'Merry'

It's time for Challenge #3 over at Season's Greetings
Our Challenge this fortnight is -
Always Anything Goes with the Twist
Wet & or Dry Embossing.

Here is how I made my card
using the Optional Twist
Card base is a metallic paper
to which I added  purple for my first frame
cut with a stitched die
then I embossed silver paper from an old
Cuttlebug Christmas set adding it to the frame.
I then die cut another shade of purple cs
with Spellbinders Labels 18 inking it
randomly with one of the stamps
from SU Snowburst in Memento Sweet Plum.
I showcased my Ornate Baubles from Kaisercraft
again cutting them in purple and heat embossed
them with Polysparkle Powder (which is a little hard to see)
I then got my die and penciled around the edges of the baubles
on grey shimmery paper and hand cut to add as backing.
I rounded the backs, added dimensional squares
making them pop then  added some gems.
My Merry die is cut from Lawn Fawn
which was only partially cut to fit.

I would also like to give a BIG WELCOME
to my dear friend Cheryl Wright who is
now part of

Thanks so much for dropping in.
Hope you will find time to play with this fun Challenge.
Pop over to see what all the Kangaroos (sorry had to say it)
have made Here and I look forward to seeing you there.
