An Easy Peasy Pour Card

I have an 'easy peasy' CAS card for the Acrylic Paint Challenge
over at CAS Mix Up

Happy Birthday to
and Thank You for the amazing technique challenges
you give us each month.
***
I did an Acrylic Pour at a Craft Show way back
and I had leftovers so quickly did some smooching
and cut out my CUTplorations Flutter Zen 1 and 2 dies.
Added a gem then attached to die cuts from
Uniquely Creative Cross Stitch Nesting Arches
which were slightly popped.
Finished with a die cut Birthday Sentiment,
some tiny STAMPlorations inked hearts in
Memento Eldenberry
which just seemed to finish it off nicely
and attached to white card base.
Unfortunately I couldn't get a decent photo showing
the Arches so here is A close up!

My Mix is Acrylic Paint, Acrylic Pour Leftover,
Stamping, Die Cutting, Gems.

Thanks for popping in today.

There's Beauty in 'OLD'

It's time for our Photo Inspiration at
and it is a 'ripper'
(Aussie word meaning good, fabulous etc
or another bonza! Couldn't help myself.)
I decided to concentrate on that old vehicle
and mine is a ute! Certainly looks like it is.

I started with my background using
Magical Powders (of course)
in Canna Lily Burnt Orange.
They just make them so quick and easy.
I then added a mix of crackle paste and Taunted Love Teal
through a stencil to give it a Patina look - just like the photo.
Stamped my  'ute' with an old Gina K stamp then smooched.
Added Art Alchemy Waxes for added colour.
Framed in brown and popped in front of die cut
and waxed cogs.
Sentiment is a Tim Holtz sticker.
Adhered to brown card base.
Here's a close up

Thanks for dropping by today.
Don't forget to see how my Team Mates
were inspired by that gorgeous photo.
Hope to see you in our Gallery this week.

Gentle Thoughts of You

Hello and Welcome to my Saturday Post for
Just Us Girls and Hosting our Word Week is Sue.

Going in a different direction to a get well card here
I was thinking more like time will heal the pain for someone
going through a grieving process.
I chose a 'really old' SU stamp called Garden Collage.
Heat embossed my image and coloured
adding some soft sponging.
Sentiment is from that set.
Added some variegated twine
and attached to brown card base.

We have a New Guest Designer for March.
 Vicky Hayes from Crafting Clare
Big Welcome Vicky. Lovely to have you
join us for this month.

Pop over and see how we all chose
to use 'Heal' and come join us.
Hope to see you in our Gallery.

A Trio of Tags

I have a trio of tags for this month's Challenge over at
I did start by just thinking I would made one
but decided that wasn't enough so had a play
and then there were three.

This is the first one I made and took pictures along the way.

Added gesso and crackle paint then my Tim Holtz Stencil
then sprayed with Lindy's Magical's
and  tied Jute.
with more bits and bobs.

The circle in the middle is cut from cork.
Finished with my butterfly from STAMPlorations,
some pearls and sentiments from Tim's Small Talk Stickers.
Nothing special about this one.
Dragonfly image is from Visible Image
Text - AALL&Create.
Other stampings are Prima Marketing.
Finished with some cotton and distressing the edges.
This background was created with Lindy's Magical's,
stenciling with Nuvo Mouse and adding a bit of grungy stamping.
My dragonfly is the same as the first tag
and was sitting on my desk as I had not used it on
what it was planned for. Came in nice and handy.
Same pearls as above. Sentiment is a digi download from
and Australian Company called Which Craft Do You Do.
Inked up my seam binding and tied  to finish.

That's my makes for this month.
Thanks for dropping in.
Pop over and see what my Talented Team Mates created
and hop you can be creative and join in our Gallery.
Our theme is always,
"Anything Mixed Media Goes"
Please make sure you use multiple mediums on your  projects.

Sending these tags over to
Bleeding Art Challenge for their current challenge
which is All Mixed Media All of the Time
and Anything Goes All of the Time.

'Hello' I'm a Mixed Up Girl Again

Some exciting news for you today.

Thanks Leslie for the pleasure of being part of the Team.

Our challenges are always Anything Goes
but we always offer an OPTIONAL technique twist
just to inspire you!
It's up to you whether or not you play the twist...
just remember the twist is NOT mandatory to play.

Here is my card for this month's Challenge
which is Anything Goes + Smooching.

This is one of my favourite techniques
so this challenge was super fun!
My smooched background is made with
Lindy's Sprays in Gecko Green
Blue Hawaiian Blue and Caribbean Blue
Flower is heat embossed with Hero Arts powder
and is STAMPlorations Blossom Sprays 3.
I partly coloured with Lindy's Witches Potion Purple.
Added some extra white with a uni ball pen.
Sentiment is from Altenew.
Added some White Opal Liquid Pearls for the stamens
and some white splatters.
Cut out with a stitched die and attached to white base.

Pop over and see what the other Talented Designers created.
Hope to see you in our Gallery this month.
Till next time -

'Thanks' for STAMPlorations Stencil Challenge

It's time to showcase our makes over at STAMPlorations
after having a little break in February.
As you know my post is for the
STAMPlorations Stencil Challenge
which is always Anything Goes using a Stencil.

For my first of the month
I started my background using
Tim's Oxide Inks in Salty Ocean Faded Jeans
and Cracked Pistachio.
I then got out one of my favourite stencils
inking through it with VersaMark pad
and sprinkled generously with
 two different coloured glitters.
Unfortunately it did take away from the lovely stencil.
preview-fairytaleforest
I then added the Out of Stock
adding glitter to the centre.
Adhered to white background onto
metallic card stock.

A 'Thank You' with Flowers

It only seems like yesterday that it was Christmas
and now we are 'March' ing on with our third challenge
of the year over at Happy Little Stampers.
The first day of the month means its our
Watercolour Challenge and you are going to
want to play with us this month as our
Option is FLOWERS!
and who doesn't love playing with them?

My first go to was Tim's Wild Flowers.
I recently bought the stencil so that is where I started.
Found this watercolour background piece in my bit box.
I know I would have used up some Lindy's Sprays here
also Nuvo Shimmer powders.
I stenciled with Cadence Champagne Relief Paste
thickly, let dry then added some plaster's tape
and die cut flowers.
Sentiment is from Altenew and finished my card
with some Art Alchemy Waxes and attached to
cream card base.
Pop over and see what my Team Mates created
and join us in the Gallery.
Hope to see you there.

there are five Saturday's this month.

The possibilities here are endless.
I found a small smooched piece of paper
in my bit box and cut out my
Couture Creations Lily Bouquet

Inserted the two lily flower bits the same as
my smooched background
(which doesn't show up in the photo)
and popped onto crazed card stock.
Sentiment is from STAMPlorations.

Pop over and see how our Guest Betty
and the Team showcased their inlaid dies.
Join us this week and you could be chosen as our

'Hello' London Calling

It's our Holiday Challenge over at
Addicted to Stamps and More and once again
I have gone for taking 'A Holiday' or as some say 'A Vacation'

One of my favourite 'old' SU stamp set is Feeling Sentimental
and this works out perfectly for my card as I do love
a red phone box - so British!

I found some fabulous DP for my background
from Carta Bella Old World Travel.
Cut to size, distressing and inking the edges.
I stamped my red phone box onto kraft paper
and sponged inside while still in the stitched die.
It needed some more colour so I added
a Kaisercraft Texture Die in red
There was a perfect spot at the bottom to add
my Hello and hand written from London.
Attached to brown card base and I am done.

Pop over and see what my Team Mates created
and come join in our Gallery this week.
Thanks for dropping in

Under the Sea Treasures

Hello and Welcome to my Saturday Post for
Just Us Girls and it's our Photo Week
Hosted by Carol and chose
the most gorgeous photo to create with.

and just a little bit closer

and to give you a bigger picture!

What I created above was certainly NOT what I had
originally planned. Most of it is but the bottom of the sea
came about because I had stamped two shells and they just
didn't come out as nice as I had hoped.
Hence I got carried away adding  umteen products.
These are -
Lindy's Magical Sprays, Kaisercraft Fishing Net
Sea Horse is AALL&Create
also using Visible Image
Impression Obsession, Katzelkraft Stamps,
Glossy Accents, Glass Beads, Glitter,
Art Alchemy Art Stones and Waxes,
Nuvo Stones Drops, Cheesecloth,
Mica Flakes and Calcined Bauxite.
Told you I used lots of stuff!
I did enjoy putting this all together
 building up my sea floor.
Now that you have seen my underwater creation
time to popover and see what our Talented Guest Betty
and the Team chose to create.
Certainly looking forward to checking out the Gallery this week.
Hope to see you there.

A Little Bit of This and a Little Bit of That

I thought I would have a bit of fun with some of my stencils
with nothing in mind with I wanted to do hence the title.

I used a variety of stencils, mediums, inks and powders.
Just went with the flow adding some inked plaster's tape
and attaching a bit of heat embossed grunge stamping.
The sentiments are from a Tim Holtz sticker pad.
One of the stencils was hand made and
others from Visible Image.
Mediums - Nuvo Shimmer Powders,
Brusho's and Distress Grit Paste/Inks
Inked the edges and attached to orange card base.
Sometimes it is nice to mix and mash
and see what transpires inky fingers and all.
I'll pop this over to the

A 'Reminder' for CAS Mix Up Card Challenge

It's 'Reminder Time'  at CAS Mix Up for their
February Challenge to use a die cut as a stencil.
I have made two cards as part of my
Guest Designer Spot this month.
I guess you could say I was going round in circles.

I cut cut several different sized circles from
a SB die for my stencil and simply inked
up Tim's Abandoned Coral, Peeled Paint
and Fossilized Amber.
Added some stamping using Gina K Amalgam Ink
circles from Visible Image Stamps.
Lightly sprayed with SU Champagne Mist.
Die cut sentiment is from Impression Obsession.
Inked around the edges in black and adhered to white card base.
My Mix is - Stencil from Die Cut, Stamping,
Sponging and die Cutting.

I had all the colours above on my desk so
thought I would play around with stenciling again.
My background is dry embossed from an old CB folder.
My circles are sponged then added interest using
Distress Crackle Paint. I then distressed the edges and popped it.
The die I used for my stencil didn't cut clearly
with my CB so luckily I kept it and cut around the edges
and adhered it in the opposite direction adding more interest.
Scored above and below the embossed background
and either side of my Paper Smooches Sentiment.
Finished with some clear gems.

Here's a close up showing the crackle background
and the acetate cut out.

My Mix here is - Stencil from Die Cut, Stamping,
Dry Embossing, Clear Crackle Paint, Distressing

You still have time to play this month so
hurry along and get your entries in by the 24th.
head over to see what the Talented Designers made
as their reminders.
A Big Thank You to Bonnie and Loll
for inviting me to be your Guest this month.
It has been an honour and great pleasure to do so.
