I inked the ARTplorations A2 panels

with Tim's Distress and Oxide inks

and layered them. The greenery is also

 Tim's Mini Holiday Greens coloured with

the above and Lindy's Magicals..

Added some splatters, cotton and beads.

Finishing with a simple Christmas Sentiment.

A Simple 'Thank You'

Today is Remembrance Day here in Australia 

and each year I make a 

Thank You card with poppies.

I was so happy to see our Host Carol M

chose Thanks/Thanksgiving as our Word Challenge at

Just Us Girls

My granddaughter recently gave me a box of tissue paper

and ribbons and that is where the idea for my

 CAS card came from.

My SB die cut flower is scrunched up red tissue paper.

Added a stamen in the middle with a hint of glitter.

Popped lightly onto the textured background 

and again onto card base.

Simple thank you sentiment is 49&Market

inked and heat embossed clear.

PS - When this goes live I will be spending time

in the tropics with family celebrating birthday's

for my son in law and Miss Harper Jane's 1st.

A Fall/Harvest Theme at the Sisterhood of Crafters

It's time for out New Challenge at The Sisterhood of Crafters

with the Theme Fall/Harvest.

My card is fairly CAS, die cutting three

rectangles, inking with distress colours

and adding some grunge stamping to the edges.

My leaf is one I picked up with a bunch of others

walking back from the mailbox.

(I have a loooong driveway)

I popped the leaf, added some splatters,

simple sentiment and framed.

Finished by adhering to white card base.

A Jolly Gnome's Christmas

It's time for our New Challenge at

 Christmas Craft Creations

and we are looking for 

I got out one of my cute Gnome stamps from Poppy Crafts,

 did a 'little' colouring and

fussy cut his hat from scrap DP

I popped him on top of a white SB die

and added a red frame behind it.

Thought a sparkly heart would be a nice touch.

Added a shaped DP piece as backing on white card stock

and adhered to red card base.

Sentiment is from STAMPlorations.

 Happy Little Stampers Stencil Challenge

Some simple stencilling here using

a home made stencil with Tim's Hickory Smoke.

Inked the side using a credit card.

Going CAS with this one. Die cut the Merry

from an old CB alphabet set in red and green tones.

Tied silver trim to the e, attached a heart

and bow. Flicked some silver splats

(a little hard to see)

Attached to green card base. Easy peasy!

Creative Trading Coins

It's that time of the month for our 

New Anything Goes Mixed Media Challenge at

Creative Artiste Mixed Media

I went with something a little different for me - 

I love the concept of Artist Trading Cards

 but went with coins.

They are a whole lot of fun to make..

Here is how they came together

Die cut circles, added strips of washi tape

 coloured with Lindy's Magical's

with random stamping 

Added splatters with my posca pen

Die cut my insects from coloured Lindy's Magical's

but didn't use the beetle

I chose a variety of products for the backgrounds

and Tim's Small Talk sentiments but in black

The bee has gold thread

Dragonfly has dyed cheesecloth

and butterfly has sisal

Nancy is our Host for CAS Week at

Just Us Girls 

choosing a 'very interesting theme'

I went two ways with the centre of my card.

The first is the MFT oval dies, framed (popped)

 adding a circle to the centre of my Lily from Repeat Impressions,

inked with Versafine Claire Nocturne, heat embossed clear

 and coloured with Brusho's.

Added a simple sentiment, black pearls and 

adhered to Leathergrain card base.

A 'THISTLE' for Me!

We're getting 'Inky' at The Sisterhood of Crafters

for our New Challenge.

How FUN is that! So many ways to go with.

I do love getting all inky and creating but this time

while I was looking for a 'messy' background

I found this beauty made with alcohol inks 

and knew what die I would use.

Easy peasy when you have the backing -

just had to add a black die cut thistle

and perfect word sentiment from AALL&Create.

Unfortunately the gold hasn't shown up in the photo.

Added a black frame and attached to 

matching card base.

Everything has 'Beauty'

It's our Photo/Mood Board Week at Just Us Girls

and as Host I am continuing on with all the beautiful leaves

that are changing colour everywhere.

You've guessed what I used on my background

haven't you? YES lots and lots and lots of

Magical Colours together with

Ken Oliver Copper Metal, Nuvo Drops and

dribbled liquid pearls here and there.

The leaf is another one from my driveway

that I played around with colour wise.

Added a bunch of sissel to the back of the leaf

hiding some of those scrumptious colours.

It looks white but is cream, the same as

my cream card base.

Again I have used one of Tim's small talk sentiments

to complete.

Oh and I didn't get inky fingers like I did 

on another project earlier and it was

a whole lot of fun messing around with 

the background and leaf.

and my fabulous team mates created

amazing makes for our mood board challenge so -

It's Pumpkin Time!

Lisa E is our Host at Just Us Girls

for our Word Week and chose

PUMPKIN!

 

It's that time of the year in the North

so there are sure to be an abundance of

great shapes and sizes of pumpkins in our Gallery this week.

I went with a very easy card inking, embossing and die cutting

my STAMPlorations Oh So Grateful set

with scrap DP touching up with a Nuvo Shimmer pen.

Die cut two circles adding two tags to the side,

DP background, framed and adhered to brown card base.

The CUTplorations Thankful die is cut twice

shadowed in white at the back.

Mono Merry & Bright!

Christmas Time is fast approaching so we really

should have started making those cards for Family and Friends

If not how about getting those supplies out for starters

and play along with this month's Monochromatic Challenge at

Christmas Craft Creations

I decided to case a card I did for CCC in March last year Here

It is such an easy one to make. This time I changed the colours

and a few other things as you see below.

I changed the card base to blue, heat embossed my

STAMPlorations Large Flower

with white embossing powder

masking and inking with Tim's Mermaid Lagoon.

Sponged inside the flower to highlight.

Added splattered snow with posca pen,

Shimmer and Liquid Pearls to centre of flower.

Sentiment is from Happy Little Stampers,

Cut corners and adhered to white card base.

With those lovely colours Tim's Wildflower Dies

screamed out to be used - so easy to create

something pretty with them.

The background was inked with his

 Distress Inks and Nuvo Shimmer Powders

as was the flowers. Other die cut is kraft.

Added stamping and stenciling from

AALL&Create in tan colours.

Kaisercraft Texture die,

Sentiment is from STAMPlorations,

Tiny ribbon from my stash.

Pearls to main flower, posca pen splatters.

Framed and adhered to kraft card base.
