It's Crafting with Dragonflies 5th Birthday Celebrations

Hi and Welcome!
It's hard to believe it is 5 years since
came onto the Blog Land Scene.
I was one of the Original Designers and
honoured to be asked back again to be
A Guest Designer - especially for this occasion.
Thank You Hilde.
We are fortunate to  have sponsors for this challenge -
Check them out below.

Here is my first card I made with an image from
one of our Sponsors Digi Stamps 4 Joy

After printing out the floral spray I decided to
get out my watercolour pencils choosing various pinky colours.
I then added some white gel pen dots around the flowers
and Gold Liquid Pearls to the centres.
This was cut with a stitched die as are the other layers.
To add interest I added a textured back with
an ARTplorations Flourish Stencil.
(A bit hard to see here)
My Birthday Sentiment is from Inspired by Stamping
cut with a MFT die inked with SU Calypsol Coral.

And a second one made as a Thank You to
Hilde for inviting me to join in the Celebrations.

I made this fairly cas to focus on the lovely
floral spray. I coloured these with pearlized paints
then cut with a MFT stitched die.
The background was embossed with an old
Cuttlebug Folder. Added some light splatters
and the centre of the flowers were also inked again with the
white uniball pen then yellow Liquid Pearls.
Sentiment is from SU.
Finished by attaching to white card base.

Here are our Generous Sponsors.

                                                 WhoopsidaisyDesigns

and I made another one - this time from WhoopsidaisyDesigns

and a close up of the background with embossed glitter,
glitter bodice  and Nuvo Shimmer on the tu tu.

It's Anything Goes at Addicted to Stamps and More

Hi and Welcome Back
Today's post is for the new challenge over at
It's our

While I was visiting my BFF I used one of her
gazillion stamps and the one I used here
I just had to have. It is Hero Arts Leafy Vines
There are so many gorgeous ideas using this stamp
and I was so eager to try mine out I made a CAS Birthday Card.
I heat embossed in white and sponged
Memento Sweet Plum & Lulu Lavender
onto the corners. I then simple die cut the
big Birthday Die my BFF sent me
(she had a spare - lucky me)
I spritzed it all over with Iridescent Medium
and attached to my white card base.
That's it! Too easy.

Thanks for dropping in.
Hope to see you over in our Gallery.

A Special 'Thank You'

HI there Crafty Friends - it's time for a new challenge
over at Happy Little Stampers -
Anything Goes with Dies Challenge!

I received this beautiful Die Versions Pretty Wings
die from a very dear friend
and I loved putting it to a card. Thank You SS.
The background for this gorgeous die was made with
SU Calypsol Coral reinker and iridescent medium
on photo paper using scrunched cling wrap.
I cut the square SB dies showcasing the colours
in each corner. These were popped then I added
my butterfly sponged with the medium
for shimmer and finished with a few pearls.
Sentiment is from 49andMarket.

Our winner for this challenge will receive a $20 coupon
to spend at the shop! Check out all the details HERE.

IF YOU USE STAMPS BY HAPPY LITTLE STAMPERS
AND YOU ARE OUR RANDOM WINNER,
YOUR PRIZE WILL BE DOUBLED!
How's that for inspiration.

I am going to send this beauty over to
Shopping our Stash for their
Butterfly Challenge
where my butterfly die has been in my stash
for some time.

Thanks for popping in...
See you in the Gallery!

'Love' from Me to You

Hello and Welcome.
It was a wet and dreary day here yesterday so I managed to
finish a card I had started for the latest challenge over at
CAS Mix Up to use Gelatos.
If you saw my first card you will see it was
a little different - well this one is
sooo very different again and something I had
never thought of  before.
You see I wanted to add texture (again)
and thought I would try rubbing my gelatos
onto a gorgeous wide piece of lace - yes lace.
I liked what I saw and then thought I would add
a wee bit of shimmer. I glued the lace onto white card stock
with Gloss Gel Medium and
added  Elizabeth Craft Cool Diamond Glitter.
I backed it with white card stock.
in gold metallic paper and topped it with
CUTplorations Love Word Die in a light Teal colour.
Sentiment is from STAMPlorations.
My Mix is - Gelatos, Gel Medium, Glitter, Lace,
Die Cutting and Stamping.

I am heading north at the end of the month
to spend some time with our daughter and
going to see the Professional Bull Riding -
I know it isn't everyone's cup of tea
but we are country folk and have been
involved with horses/cattle for a lot of years
so we are looking forward to it as well
a bit of drag racing!
Also catching up with 2 of our grandchildren.

So the next few weeks will be busy getting
DT posts scheduled and not a lot of time for
other challenges. I hope to make just a
CAS card the normal way with gelatos
before I head off. We'll see.

Thanks for dropping in today
Till next time - Cherrio from

'Wing' ing it at STAMPlorations

We are celebrating 31 days of Spring over at
STAMPlorations
We are back to our 5 Regular Challenges -
just a little different. We are all going with the same theme
Things with Wings!
and what better way to do it for me but with a
Butterfly and Flowers!

Check out All the Details HERE.

***
I started with -
My potted flowers and butterfly from the
Fluttery Stamp Set and Die
which were heat embossed with
Wow Metallic Platinum Embossing Powder
and coloured with Pearlescent Paints.
My background is a mixture of
Transparent Gloss Texture Paste and
Mont Marte Pearl White Acrylic Paint
thickly pasted with the
ARTplorations Shutters Stencil
Leaving that to dry I then cut out a tag from
CUTplorations Tags 1 Nesting Dies
with card stock to match the flowers and
tying a variegated piece of knotted cotton.
My sentiment was then inked with Tim's Worn Lipstick
and cut with a die from the same set.
I had added some yellow liquid pearls to the
centre of the flowers but wasn't happy with that
so while still wet I poured some tiny seeds on top.
The flower pot and butterfly are popped and
sentiment just slightly.

Here are the STAMPloration products used above.

Hello to 'Rainbow' Feathers

I'm back and this time playing over at
CAS Watercolour for their May Challenge
to use Rainbow Colours.
I have a few feather sets and this time decided on
STAMPlorations Trendy Feathers 2.
I heat embossed them in clear powder then
added rainbow coloured brusho's hoping
that they would still come out in true colours.
As most of you would know there are all sorts of
bit colours that appear as well. As luck would have it
my colours stayed true. Yay!
I then fussy cut them and brushed them with
Nuvo Glitter Gloss. These were popped after I
cut my back and splattered with
black/pearl white acrylic paint.
Finished with a simple Hello
from the same set and a few pearls.

That's it this time round.
Thanks so much for dropping in.
Love reading your comments.

It's CAS Mix Up Challenge Time

Hi and Welcome!
It's a new month and the new challenge over at
CAS Mix Up is up and running.
I always find myself itching to try their
Monthly Mix and really excited to once more
play with my neglected gelatos.
Here is my first card
PS I was so eager to play with them
I even have anther one in the making
First of all my Mix is
Gelatos (of course) Stamping, Magicals and Die Cutting.
I wanted to do something out of the ordinary with
my Gelatos so starting with a washed background
with Magicals adding shaved bits of different
Gelato colours heating to melt
allowing them to bubble up for depth.

Here is a close up.

I added the smallest bits
of Stampendous Aged Copper Embossing Enamel
heating from underneath to also melt.
Added a little more interest by adding
some lines in the background.
I then cut out my MFT peek a boo die
and popped it in front.
Added the lovely Gina Maine floral flourish
smooched with the same gelatos and the
middle piece to match the background.
To finish I added my sentiment from
Happy Little Stampers.

Hope you liked my take on the Gelatos/Crayon Challenge.
I sure had fun.
Thanks for dropping in.

It's WORD WEEK at Just Us Girls

It's Saturday and JUGS DAY!
Hi and Welcome to today's post.
It's a new month and that means a
New Guest Designer.
Welcome to  Patti Kehl from Stationary Styles
So nice to have you join us this month!

Sue is Hosting this weeks challenge
choosing SHADOW STAMPING.

I have gone cas here with images from an old
SU Pocket Silhouettes Set inking with
different ink colours from Hampton Art
and stamping off a second time for the shadow effect.
Sentiment is from STAMPlorations.
The floral images were cut from MFT and popped.

#NOTE Adding this card for Helen's Feminine Challenge at
Watercooler Challenge
I thought it a nice girly card.

I made another quick card as I wasn't sure which one
I liked better.

The tree I used here is from an Australian Company
Stamp It  - Large Conifer. I inked the front image
with Memento Luxe Northern Pine. It's a gorgeous green.
I then stamped off the rest of the trees to create a shadow effect.
Sponged a little to the bottom with SU Tip Top Taupe
attaching it to a stitched die white background and on to
my card base which is also Tip Top Taupe.

That's it for me today.
Pop over and see how our
New Guest Designer Patti Kehl
and the Team interpreted 'Shadow'
and come join us in our Gallery.
By doing so you could be chosen as
Chic of the Week and go on to be our
Guest in June.

Inked up my dandelion stamps with
Memento Eldenberry . I then cut this out with a stitched die
added some coloured cotton and attached to
coloured card stock and my white base.

It's Photo Week at Just Us Girls

Hello and Welcome to my Saturday Post for
Just Us Girls - Photo Week

Vicki is Hosting and chosen this gorgeous bright photo
for our Inspiration.
What I made isn't what I had originally planned
but that's how it goes sometimes.
I was going to focus on those squares in the background
till my card went in a totally new direction.
I decided to concentrate on the lovely orange daisies instead.
I will start at the back with the embossed Kaisercraft Leaf
then added the black backing which was the shaving cream
technique using Tim's Black Soot reinker and a snippet of white
from a SU punch.
My flower head was cut several times from the
CUTplorations die - Trendy Spring Blooms
adding a few MS leaves.
The centre of the flower is flower soft.
This was backed with black and added some yellow cotton.
The Best Wishes die is from Cheery Lynn Designs.

Pop over and see what our April Guest Karren
and the Jugheads created and come join us in the Gallery.
Hope to see yours there.

Time for a CAS Card at Addicted to Stamps and More

Hi and Welcome to today's post for
This week we have our CAS Clean & Simple Challenge
and here is mine.

I went a bit bold and bright here
backing my STAMPlorations Grungy
oxide inked images with bright orange card stock.
This was cut from a postage stamp die.
Sentiment is from Casual Friday's
inked with Tim's Black Soot.
Sometimes it is nice to just sit down and
make something clean and pretty simple.
I think I have done just that!

Thanks for dropping in here today.
Pop over to Our Blog and see what
my Team Mates created.
Hope you will find time to play with us this week.

Just a Reminder Post

Hi there! I am here to show you my other
Purple Card I made for this weeks
Colour Challenge over at Just Us Girls

My Poppies are from JustRite embossed
with clear powder. I inked them up with
Tim's Seedless Preserves and Mowed Lawn.
The background is embossed with
Kaisercraft Leaves then I added
coloured card - same as my base
topping that with patterned paper
and the moths flew out of my DP box
as it hasn't seen light of day for quite some time.
Poppies have been winked with 'Stella' and centres with
Yellow Liquid Pearls, cut from a postage stamp die
and I added some ribbon - again
something I haven't used for a wee while.
Sentiment is SU cut from a MFT die.
Hope you get time to add yours to
Our Gallery at Just Us Girls

Thanks for dropping in today

Bending a Branch

Hi there and Welcome to today's post.
It's for the current  CAS Christmas Card Challenge
to use an Ornament - Here are the Details.

I found it hard to get a good photo showing
how nice the gold shimmery paper is
so here is a closer look also showing
the Alcohol Inked background.
I penciled around my Kaisercraft Ornament
and fussy cut out the background
then die cut the ornament with gold paper.
Cut out my MB Woodland Branch
to attach the popped ornament too.
Added to white card stock for a stitched die line
 spritzed with SU Champagne Gold.
Die cut a Merry Christmas in the same gold paper,
adding a bow and pearl to finish.

That's another Christmas card done.
So many more to go before the end of the year.

This is a great challenge to get involved with
as they are CAS - just perfect for
that especially busy time of the year.

Thanks for dropping in.
Love reading your comments!
