Is it Mythical or Magical?

Hello and Welcome to today's posting.
Carol is Hosting for the first time as a Jugs Designer
and chose
I am really looking forward to seeing what
transpires this week in our Gallery
with such a Fun Trend.
Something completely different from me this week.
I do have a confession to make here -
My card was made quite some time ago at a card class.
You see there is nothing Mythical in my supplies
that would do this Trend justice.
I did think of Christmas as being Magical
but took the easy way out.
To my regular visitors they will know
I cannot colour with pens so
you will excuse me for my poor skills in this area.
I must give credit to our Class Instructor
Tania from Paper and Me 2
for this Magical Design.

Pop over and see Talent from
Stef Perry - our March Guestie
and of course my Team Mates.
Hope to see lots of Myth or Magic in our Gallery.
Thanks for dropping in.

Behind that is a partial cut of Spellbinders Labels 27  backed by
scrap SU papers and ribbon.
Sentiment is from 49 and Market.
Tag is tied with yellow cotton.

Our winner for this challenge will receive a $20 coupon
to spend at the shop! Check out all the details HERE.

This Time it's Just for You

So you're  back too see my other Acetate Card?
You then know it is for  the CAS Mix Up Challenge
oops!
Before I go any further I just noticed I didn't add the
Graphics to my first Acetate card so off to fix it.
Okay! here we go...
I thought I would once again try something a
little different with the Acetate
and it's pretty simple!
I delved into my bits box and found
some smooched (again) oxide inked paper
and cut out 2 dies (unknown) then
repeated with Acetate. I embossed
all 4 die cuts with Swiss Dots to add
a bit of texture. When I glued the Acetate
I did so slightly to the side.
My card base is cream and added a strip of
kraft paper as a backing for my dies.
Finished with a sentiment from Inspired by Stamping,
a tiny Waffle Flower bow, a few gems and
corner rounding.
My Mix is Acetate, die cutting, watercolour smooching,
stamping and dry embossing.

Thanks once again for dropping in.
I'm off for some Sister Time for a long week end
so no crafting. But I do get to spend up
at a craft store as I have a Gift Voucher
she gave me for Christmas. Yay!

Oh! you will see a scheduled post
as Saturday is Just Us Girls Challenge Day.
It's something very different for me.

Till next time - Cherrio

Simply 'With Love'

Hi there Stampin' Friends.
I always look forward to seeing what technique
we have to play with each month at CAS Mix Up
and this time round it is to use
Acetate/Stamping/Your Choice
Details are Here

I hesitated here wondering if I should add it to their Gallery
thinking it may be too plain but then Loll posted one she made
using acetate to emboss - so here it is.
My Mix is Acetate, Embossing, Inking,
Die Cutting, Smooching.
My card base is from SU. I embossed my
Kaisercraft Leaves then cut it down to size
to feature behind my image.
This was made while I was visiting my friend
and I do remember that it was from Gina K.
It was heat embossed and cut from a SB die.
The background for that is some smooching of
 Tim's Oxide's in Ripe Persimmon/Mermaid Lagoon.
Die cut the 'with love'  to match.

Thanks for dropping in today.
I do have another Acetate Card in the making
so be sure to pop back in sometime
to see how I made that one.

It's all about SPRING and FAITH!

Hello and Welcome to my little corner of Blogland.
Today's post is for our March Challenge
over at STAMPlorations
which is all about Spring and Faith.
You can find all the info Over Here.
Don't you love the Graphic!

It's coming on Spring over the pond but closing in
on our Autumn here in the south which means cooler days.
Flowers are still blooming and we can still sit outside
relaxing with a good cup of tea - hence I have incorporated the
STAMPlorations Framed-Tea-Cups here
I heat embossed in White onto Vellum paper
and including the Sentiment which I think reflects the Faith side.
It is a little hard to see but says
Where there's tea there's hope
from STAMPlorations Always Tea Time
I found this nice soft DP in my stash and thought
it suitable to frame those tea cups.
The metallic card stock and all 3 layers were cut from
CUTplorations Double-Running-Stitch-Rectangle-Nesting-Dies
These are the STAMPloration products used.

A Bit of Snarky Tissue-d Stenciling!

Hello Crafty Friends
I had a bit of time up my sleeve and thought I would
play again with 2 current challenges I posted on recently.
They are Shopping Our Stash and
The Sisters of Snarky Stampers

My card fits both - stencils and tissue
and this time I used a snarky sentiment.
I do love this old
 STAMPlorations Rocking Chair
as it goes perfectly with my
 STAMPlorations A Snarky Birthday sentiment
These were inked with Tim's Gathered Twigs.
I like how they turned out so aged looking.
My background has scrunched tissue
glued to a white base. I then inked my
ARTplorations Nestled Circles stencil
with SU Baja Breeze.
Finished with a few grungy bits and ruling
lines around for interest then adhered to brown card base.

These are the STAMPloration products I used.

I'm using my 'Stash of Stencils'

Hey there Crafty Ones.
Today's post is for the current challenge over at
Shopping Our Stash and they are asking us to use our
Stashed Stencils and thanks to being on the DT at STAMPlorations
I have plenty to choose from don't I Chris!!
They seem to be the ones I go to all the time
and don't need dusting off.
The decision was which ones to choose...

I chose 3 but a little disappointed that the main
glittered butterfly stencil faded into the oxide background.
The first stencil I added was
ARTplorations Square Dance followed by
ARTplorations Bloom Factory and lastly
ARTplorations Flutterbuy (Out Of Stock)
I added white texture paste to my butterfly stencil
and while wet sprinkled glitter on to it.
The background flowers/circles were inked with
Tim's Oxide Seedless Preserves.
My cut sentiment is from CUTplorations
and small sentiment by
STAMPlorations It's All About You Set.

That's it for this one but hoping to get time
to play with my stencils some more.
Thanks for dropping in -

A 'Tissue' - no I don't have the flu!

Hi there Crafty Friends!
Over at Sisters of Snarky Stampers they have their
current challenge which is T for Tissue so
popping this tissue card over to their Gallery!

I had all intentions of getting out a colourful napkin
or to use a bit more tissue than what I landed up doing here.
(May yet get time to do just that)
but I saw a card similar on Pinterest Here so decided to case it.
When I found it again -
because I hadn't saved it I realized it was made
by one of my blog followers and she lives just
south of the border. Thanks Cathy for the inspiration.
You can find her card details at Cathys Card Spot.
Also I used the same STAMPlorations sentiment
with white embossing powder -
and great minds again - the same MB Branch.
My card base is a coppery metallic paper and
topped with a lighter grainy metallic paper.
I cut the circle for my moon with a Spellbinder die then
glued some scrunched up tissue paper onto it.
This is where I differed from Cathy's card by brushing
Perfect Pearls in White & Heirloom Gold
while some of the glue was still wet.

Here is a close up of the textured tissue.

I then sealed it with Clear Gel Medium.
My little bird is from Kaisercraft.
This and the branch were touched up with
the Perfect Pearls as above.
To add interest I then added some white lines
with a gel pen.

Balloons!
Not much to say on this one as I made it
while I was visiting a friend and raided
her bits drawer for the shimmery paper
for the popped balloon die,
the few circles around it
and the cut out sentiment on the side.
Pretty cas using black & teal paper.
And that's it. Nice result!

There's No Place Like 'Home'

Hello and Welcome to Today's Post.
It's time for a new challenge over at Happy Little Stampers.
It's a new month so it's our
Anything Goes with Watercolours
with the optional twist of  'HOME'

I had a hard time photographing this so
 please excuse the quality here.
To start I watercoloured my background with
Tim's Oxide Inks adding drops of water
and touches of iridescent medium.
I then cut out part of my HLS House die
and a stitched slope where I placed my
heat embossed sentiment from STAMPlorations
then framed and popped it.
Finished with some Liquid Pearls
in front of the house and pearls
beside the sentiment.

Our winner for this challenge will receive a $20 coupon to spend at the shop!
Check out all the details HERE.

IF YOU USE STAMPS BY HAPPY LITTLE STAMPERS
AND YOU ARE OUR RANDOM WINNER,
YOUR PRIZE WILL BE DOUBLED!

Just 'Hello'

It's everyone's Favourite Anything Goes Challenge at
Addicted to Stamps and More
Here's my take.
and a close up of the shiny dragonfly
I went CAS here and if you look closely at the
ornate dragonfly from Fancy That you will see
I have cut it out from  a scrap piece of glossy paper
which was inked up with Brusho's and cling wrapped.
I chose where to cut it as I wanted to show of the
wings and tail in different bright colours.
My background has a very light smooching.
Popped up my frame which was cut from
MFT Peek a Boo die. Added the dragonfly
and finished with a sentiment from
STAMPlorations Feathers 2.

Pop over and see what my Team Mates
have created and come join us.
Hope to see you in our Gallery.

Thanks for dropping in.

A 'Blooming' Birthday

Hello and Welcome. Thanks for dropping in.
Today's post is for our Photo Challenge at
Just Us Girls and Hosting this week is
our Lovely Lisa.
Here's  my take on this gorgeous photo below.
Isn't it glorious!
No doubt a lot of you will see this
and think of  'Spring' and look forward to it soon.

I chose my card base from SU  Concord Crush
but nearly went for something lighter till I decided
to add some tiny flowers with this and Hello Honey
contrasting it to my larger flowers from
SU Petite Petals. I love that stamp/punch set
making it easy to make a floral spray.
These were inked with SU Yo Yo Yellow
and Memento Sweet Plum.
Added some background grunge from
SU Timeless Textures and s strip of
gold washi tape.
Sentiment is by STAMPlorations Fluttery
and thought it perfect for all my blooms.
I matted them with SU Concord Crush
and added Liquid Pearls and Nuvo Drops
 to the centres to finish.

Pop over to Our Blog and check what
Tenia and the Team created.
I know I have said it before but...
you won't be disappointed.
It has been an amazing month having
you as our Guest Tenia and loved checking out
your talent more regularly. Thanks You.
I know we will see you back again in our Gallery soon.

It's all about 'DIES' at AAA Cards.

Hello and Welcome to today's post.
STAMPlorations are sponsoring the
so I decided to get out a few of my dies
and here is what I made - and it has to also be CAS.

I have used these dies from STAMPlorations -
and the Hello Die.
I used metallic card stock to back the cut out
and the popped butterfly. It need a little colour
so randomly sponged with Nuvo Burnished Bronze Mousse
on both butterfly and sentiment.
Finished with a few pearls.

Canvasing 'Happy Thoughts'

Hi there and Welcome!
Today's post is for the current challenge
of Felt/Cork or Canvas etc over at CAS Mix Up Blog
All the details are Here
You will have seen my first entry using cork.
This time I thought I would play with canvas.
It really is a fun paper and gives a great
texture look to your project.
I started by spritzing some Turquoise Brusho's
onto my canvas then decided to add a bit of texture
with Mont Marte Pearl White Acrylic Paint
then some White DecoArt Crackle Paste -
I should have added more but was just an experiment.
I left it overnight and was happy with the result so continued
by cutting out 2 Spellbinder Butterflies in canvas.
Attached them to my background and adhered to white card for stability.
Mixed up a little more of what I used for the background,
covering both cutouts and attached an oval gem.
Added some splatters and finished with my sentiment
from STAMPlorations Bloom Happy in Oxide Salty Ocean.
To blend with my pearly background I chose some
Pearlescent Textured card stock.
Here is a close up of the shimmer/texture -
My Mix is Canvas, Stamping, Die Cutting, Mixed Media.

Just a Note...

Hey Folks!
Time to show you what our Host Angie
chose for Colour Week at Just Us Girls
and aren't they gorgeous!

Colour Challenges are one of my
All Time Favourites!
I decided it was time to get out one of my favourite
oldie but goodie SU stamp/die sets for this one.
It's Four Feathers.
Made a fun background for them by just
scrunching up my Kraft paper and
then inked with Tim's Frayed Burlap
on the creases then tore around the edges.
My feathers were inked with
Memento Rhubarb Stalk
Tim's Peacock Feathers and
Hero Arts Unicorn - cut and popped.
I forgot I hadn't added the jute string when I
added glue all over the kraft paper
so quickly did that - sticky fingers and all!
Added a jute bow and 3 tiny punched circles
beside my Gina K sentiment.

Pop over to Our Blog to check out what
February Guest Tenia and the Team created.
Hope you get time to join us this week.
See you in the Gallery?
