Tip Toe Through The Tulips? No Tic Tac Toeing at The House.

Oh dear I can hear myself singing that song by Tiny Tim -
Tip To Through the Tulips. Yikes!
Only because I used  this beautiful stamp
Vase of Tulips from Repeat Impressions
which happens to be one of my favourites
and perfect for paper piecing.
It must be good because a couple of the Rock Stars chose it too.
It's for the current Challenge over at The House that Stamps Built
Details - Here

I went Top right to Bottom Left.
Yellow/Paper Piecing/Dew Drops

Here are the products I used

It's Tic Tac Toe for Hiding In My Craft Room

The super cute image above is Spring Bumble Bee from StarStampz
and perfect for the line I chose for the Tic Tac Toe Challenge
at Hiding In My Craft Room
(The Winner will receive images from our Sponsor.)

Right top to left bottom
(flower glitter button)
I started with my card base of brown
attaching small strips of yellow to the
DP by Amy Tangerine Ready Set Go
and a strip of glitter paper which just happened
to match perfectly with the glitter I used
on the centre of the flower.
I got out some Tom Bow pens to colour
my digi image adding a touch of WOS to her hair.
This was cut from MFT Circle Stitched Die
and inked lightly with blue and popped.
Finished with variegated cotton and
button from my stash.
Sentiment is from Gina K Designs.

Wishing You Happiness...

I am Hosting this weeks Colour Challenge over at Just Us Girls

I have used basic white card stock
and choosing a simple stamp from the
STAMPlorations Floral Bliss stamp set.
I painted the heat embossed flowers in soft pastel metallic colours
surrounding them with a silver shimmer
This was cut from a Spellbinder die.
My background is lightly stenciled in yellow.
Sentiment is from STAMPlorations Fond Expressions 2
inked with SU Calypso Coral.
Finished with some sequins and gems.

Hop over and see what our April Guest Laurie
and the Jugheads have made and I hope
you get time to play this week at JUGS

Because I Care

As soon as I saw the Current Sketch/Theme Challenge
over at STAMPlorations
I knew what stamp set I wanted to ink up choosing to go with
both Sketch and Theme.
It is the new release -STAMPlorations Trendy Spring Blooms
and as a Premium Stamp Club member I got the
Matching CUTplorations Dies for free. Bonus!
There is a little bit going on with this card
starting with my SU card base.
The background is stamped with the flowers
and leaves from the above Stamp Set
and I off set the top layer as I like the uneven effect.
For my featured butterfly from
I cut the peek a boo die from MFT
to then tuck it in behind my popped flowers.
After I inked it up I then heated it with clear embossing powder.
Inks were Memento Potter's Clay/Peanut Brittle and Teal Zeal
Tim Holtz Peacock Feathers

preview-SheryRuss_TrendySpringBloomsSheryRuss_Scribbly Splattery Grunge-preview

Now to add a bit of interest I cut
a rectangle from MFT cutting through
both papers to show up when opening the card.
The sentiments here are from

The background is lightly stenciled from

that are begging to be won below.

I really loved how the soft colours turned out on my card above.
I have used pearlescent card stock as my base.
I smooched my background with Memento
Angel Pink/Summer Sky and Dandelion
onto water colour paper.
I applied Pearl White Acrylic Paint to my
 ARTplorations Flutterby Stencil
and while still wet sprinkled it with Cool Diamonds Glitter
from Elizabeth Crafts which just added an amazing shine.
This was cut with a stitched die and adhered to my card base.
The sentiment die is CUTplorations Celebrate
cut out twice and off set to see both colours.
Added a tiny 'you' sentiment cut from a MFT circle die.
I tried to get a close up to show how shimmery it really is
 The Prizes are:

It's Challenge #5 at Season's Greetings

We are already up to Challenge #5 at Season's Greetings
and it is Team Kangaroo's turn to post.
Using the colours above as a guide
I used Tim Holtz Peacock Feathers
and Victorian Velvet for my background smooching.
I simply inked up my mat sprayed lightly with water
and blended with acetate till I got my result.
I then got out my stencil from STAMPlorations
ARTplorations Dots All Over using Acrylic Paint
and sprinkling glitter while still wet.
This was cut with a stitched die and attached to
my card base of white.
The Merry die cut is from Memory Box
and the Christmas is unknown.

Hope you can join us for this fun colour challenge
and check out what my Team Mates have created.
