Wishing You a Merry Christmas

Well it really is starting to look like Christmas and
for our last Challenge of the Year at Just Us Girls
Our Vicki has chosen
A Better View for you -

I just love these not quite Traditional Colours -
they really are fabulous! It's obvious I chose
to hone in on them as my inspiration.
Card base is white but inked the edges with
Tim's Antique Linen - so too the birch trees.
My background is simply Pruss Blue Brusho's
smooched and smacked. After I got the effect I liked
I added some Pearl White Acrylic Paint to my craft mat
adding a little water and flicking all over
(and I mean all over the mat as well)
Shame you can't see the shimmer!
I then attached my birch tree die.
Had to cut my card base to match the die size.
Added my sentiments from Hero Arts
Merry Stamp/Die. The sentiments were cut
from a MFT stitched die and the Merry
cut twice and shadowed.
Finished with some glitter stars.

That's it! My last card for Just Us Girls
for the year as we are taking December off
BUT we will be back on the 6th January
refreshed and raring to go again.

Don't forget to pop over and see what our
November Guest Trina Pham and The Team
created and come join us.
The November Chic's of the Week
will all be in the running for
2 Guest Designer Spots in January.

I'm going to pop this over to
Watercooler Wednesday for their
All about Christmas Challenge
and
The Merry Christmas Challenge for their

Before I sign off I would like to wish our

Judge Judy (that's what I call her)
all the best in the future.
It has been my pleasure to be

Hello Crafty Friends.

Cardz 4 Galz and Amy wants to see Cupcakes.
How yummy is that!
Off course we all love those sweet treats

My cupcake has been painted with
pearlescent paints and fussy cut. Behind that
I added a flourish from Memory Box some ribbon
and backed it with an acrylic painted stencil.
My 'Sweet' sentiment die is cut from the same pink paper.
Finished with a few gems.

Thanks for dropping in today.

Once more my Brusho's came out to colour my flower.
I used Brilliant Red & Rose Red to give it a 2 tone effect.
The Merry Christmas Die is from paper Smooches.
I finished with added some Twinklets Diamond Dust
to the centre of my flower
and a few gems for a little more sparkle.
Rounded the corner of the water colour paper.

A Simple Merry Christmas

It's Reminder time at STAMPlorations for our November
CUTplorations Challenge.
Here's my make for your Inspiration.

I decided to go clean and simple with bright colours and bling!
Picking out the purple and red from the photo I got out my
trusty Brusho's and wet my water colour paper then tapped
Purple Violet and Brilliant Red to achieve my background.
This was cut from the
CUTplorations Curly Labels Tags Nesting Dies
I inked the edges withTim's Wilted Violet Oxide Ink.
Next came my Merry Christmas from
CUTplorations Merry Christmas Word Art Die
adhering the die to double sided tape
so I could simply add my glitter.
Finished with a red pearl to dot the 'i'

Just to say 'Thanks'

By the time this goes Live you will all know that I had been asked
by Loll & Bonnie from CAS Water Colour Blog to be their
Guest Designer for November. I was happy to say Yes.
The flower I used for our
at Just Us Girls was gifted to me from them
 Thanks You So Much.
***
These lovely colours were chosen by Angie
who is Host this week..
My flower was cut several times
inking around the edges and layered.
The background has been stenciled with white texture paste
(which is a little hard to see)
lightly sponged with Tim's Antique Linen.
Behind the flowers is a leaf cut from a shimmery textured
gold paper and is from Fancy That - Leafy Swirl
My backing paper is turquoise textured card stock.
I inked the sentiment with Tim's Peacock Feathers and added
a touch of PearlEx powder.
This was all put together onto brown card stock.
Pop on over to Our Blog to see what
Our November Guest Trina Pham
and the Team created.
With such a lovely colour combination I
hope you get time to play with us this week.

I have made 3 cards with the

I have kept my cards cas focusing on the sentiments
matting the first one and adding some scrap paper
after cutting from the
CUTplorations Crazy-Double-Running-Stitch-Rectangle-Nesting-Dies
This was also used on the card below.

For my second card I used the shaving cream technique
with Tim's Peacock Feathers Reinker
to back my framed sentiment which had a bit of grunge from
STAMPlorations Mixed-Media-Grunge
added for interest. Added a few pearls to finish.

And my last card I went for Kraft card stock
adding white texture paste to the
ARTplorations Rows-of-Hearts
I inked the sentiment with Tim's Oxide ink in Abandoned Coral
and splats in Vintage Photo. I sponged my binding to match.
This was attached to the CUTplorations Tags-1-Nesting-Dies

Merry Christmas

It's Trend Week and Hosting this weeks challenge at
Just Us Girls is The Lovely Lisa who chose
  Silhouette Stamping.
Now this isn't really 'stamping' as such but it is
A Silhouette!
I lightly attached the ARTplorations Christmas Reindeer
preview-web-stencil-033-christmasreindeer
to black card stock and sprayed with
Tim's Antiqued Bronze Distress Spray Stain and let it dry.
I then cut the centre out to use for the top layer then
added a black frame.
I found some patterned vellum that matched colour wise
and cut out the sentiment from Paper Smooches
attached it to black card stock and the simple-ist
Christmas card was done.

Pop over to Our Blog to see what inspired our
November Guest Trina Pham
and the Team and come play.

By the way! The Jugheads are taking December off so
those chosen as a Chic of the Week  in November
will be in the running for 2 Guest Spots when we
come back rested and raring to go again in January.

Thanks for dropping in - Love reading your comments!

'Seriously'

I Love a 'Colour Challenge' and once more
I am playing over at CAS Colours & Sketches
and the colours are
All the details are Here

As the challenge states - cas
here is how I made my card.
My card stock is from 2 of the colours above.
I added dots from ARTplorations onto white card stock
with texture paste and once it was dry I added some
 breezy waives from Memory Box.
Then came 3 die cuts which were cut from some smooched
oxide inks in Peacock Feathers & Cracked Pistachio.
Added some silver glitter and a tiny bow from Waffle Flower.
Sentiment is from STAMPlorations.

Thanks for dropping by.

It's for 'Remembrance Day'

Each year I make a Poppy Card for
Remembrance Day in Australia.
The reason for this is -
Armistice Day is on 11 November and is also known as Remembrance Day.
It marks the day World War One ended,
at 11am on the 11th day of the 11th month, back in 1918.
A two-minute silence is held at 11am to remember the people who have died in wars.

This was timely as the current challenge -
Thank You/Thanksgiving was chosen by Tammy
 over at  Cardz 4 Galz

I started with cutting my card stock with a stitched die then
adding texture paste to my MB Texture Distressed Grid
 and while that was drying
I cut out my MB Poppy twice - once for the green stem
then for the flower in a red shimmery paper.
I offset the bottom poppy slightly to show the
green background. I then cut a white leaf from Kaisercraft.
I lightly sponged Tim's Festive Berries over the dry texture paste
and added my poppy. A teeny weeny bow from Waffle Flower
was added to finish.
I then added a stitched die frame from kraft paper
and attached to my white card base.
The Thank You is a die cut from a friend and was inked with
Tim's Antique Linen to match.

Thanks for dropping in today.

Happy Happy Happy Day

It's time for a new Challenge over at Addicted to Stamps and More
and this time round it is our Make Your Mark.
It's always fun playing with colours and I was really happy
with the result of my smooching here. I think I am addicted!
There were pinks reds and sandstone Brusho's.
Also added a touch of stenciling with Nuvo Mousse.
The squiggle (hope that's a word) was also multi coloured
and cut out popped and a gem added.
My Kaisercraft leaves are vellum.
Sentiment is from Stampin' Up
inked in Calypso Coral.
So you can see I really did Make My Mark here.

Make your Mark - your entry MUST contain the use of anything that can make a mark - Stampin' Write, Copics, Promarkers, Painting, Chalks, Watercolours, Sponges, Stencils, Masks etc etc

Don't forget to pop over and see what the Team created
and join us. Sure hope to see you there.
