I'm Excited to tell you....

Hello and Welcome. I have some exciting and Happy News today.
I have been invited to join the Talented Designers over at

Here is my first card using our Theme -
Mellow Yellow (use yellow)

I started by heat embossing and colouring my flower
(SU Bloom with Hope) with Lindy's Sprays/Powders
and Nuvo Shimmer Powders then fuzzy cut it.
Added some stamping to the background
from SU  Timeless Textures.
Added die cut Geo Floral Frame by Sizzix
and leaves by Fancy That Leafy Swirls.
Sentiment  is SU Because I Care die cut from MFT
and heat embossed.
Thought it appropriate to use the 'thank you'
in appreciation of being invited to join The Sistahs!
Popped on white card base to finish.
Pop over and see what my new 'Sistahs' created
and be sure to create something mellow yellow
and add to the Gallery.
Since this is my first post for The Sisterhood -

Just Hello for Just Us Girls

 Hello and Welcome to Saturday.
It's Trend Week at Just Us Girls
and our Host is Carol asking us to
use more than one stencil.
I love doing just that. I am sure the Gallery
will be full of amazing stenciling especially
with the layered stencils coming into vogue.
Me - well I don't have any but have a gazillion
of the other ones as you can see below.

I thought I was going to have a background
from my gelli plate but my stenciling didn't turn out
as I had hoped so I went with a partly smooched one
then went mad with lots of different stenciling -
too many to mention. I used Distress Oxide inks
on all of them. The main focal stencil has
texture paste mixed with iridescent medium
then coloured to match the background.
Finished by adding my sentiments from STAMPlorations,
inking the edges and adhered to white card base.
Pop over and see what our Guest Claire
and my Team mates created and come join us.
You could be our Chic of the Week and
in the running to be our Guest in June.
Thanks for dropping in.
It's always a pleasure to read your kind comments.

Things with Wings Hop and Linky Party

Over at  STAMPlorations it's time to celebrate Spring!
We are having our
The STAMPloration Girls have been really busy
getting creative to inspire you
especially as there are Prizes to Be Won!

I decided to go all out here and made a 5/7 inch Canvas.

Admittedly this took me some time to make
but so much fun especially with the amount of colours/textures
I used on the background. With all that going on
a bit of the stenciling lost it's way.
I knew when this blog hop came up I wanted to use
one of my lovely chipboard butterflies which are really thick.

I had a hard time trying to get these close ups
the same true colour like the main photo
but you get the idea!

Here are the STAMPlorations Products I used

Other products -
Lindy's Spray's, Magical Powders
Distress Grit Paste, Gilding Polish
Art Alchemy Waxes, Sparks and Art Stones
Tiny Beads, Nuvo Embossing Powder,
Cheesecloth, Pearls, Gems and Button.
***
Here are the blog hop prizes:
- 3 winners of a $10 prize code randomly drawn from comments left on
the STAMPlorations blog and designers' blogs

Linky prizes:
- 1 winner of a $25 prize code
Extra prizes:
- a few surprise winners randomly drawn from our social media accounts
(FB, IG, Pinterest, blogs) to win either prize codes or products.
Hop and Linky are open until May 7.
Winners announced on May 10 in the April winners post.

Don't forget to leave a comment here
and hope to see your winged make in our Gallery.

Just Us Girls 'Word Week'

Hello and Welcome to my Saturday Post for Just Us Girls
Angie is Hosting Word Week and chose Stripes.

April is upon us and we have a New Guest Designer.
Welcome to Claire Apostoloff

As you see I took a very different approach to using stripes
by cutting a smooched piece of watercolour paper
into three strips. Backed them with black card stock.
My die cut is from Ultimate Crafts Wintertide Branches
I got the idea for this card from Julie Gearinger Here
although I have done similar in the past.
Flicked a few splatters and grounded my tree with
Nuvo Ebony Black Drops
Added my Happy Birthday sentiment from
Happy Little Stampers .
Adhered to white background and black card base.

Pop over and see what our April Guest Claire
and the Team created and add yours to
The Gallery.
You could be Chic of the Week
and be our Guest in June.
Thanks for popping in

In Art - Instinct is Enough.

Hello and Welcome to my latest
Mixed Media Piece for Creative Artiste
Each month we have an Anything Goes
Mixed Media Challenge using multiple mediums.

I got a gift certificate for Christmas and only recently
used it buying the Thinlits Insects which I wanted to
 try them out.
My first background attempt failed so didn't take photos
along the way after that.
Here is how I started - using Art Achemy Metallic Paints
second  time around!
then adding the Thinlits Insects
to see  where to apply the Modeling Paste
After that I went on my merry way
adding the inked lace, die cut and coloured insects.
I like leaving some small bits of the cut outs.
Just added to the effect.
Sentiment was cut and popped after heat embossing.
Rubbed the Art Alchemy Waxes and Sparks
in various places especially around the edges.

Products I used are -
Modeling Paste, Stencil and Sentiment  from STAMPlorations
Flair (Slimline stencil) Art Is (Sentiment cut up)
Lace background soaked in Magical's
Magical Powders and Lindy's Sprays
Art Alchemy Gold Rush and Emerald Green Metallic Paint
Art Alchemy Waxes Peacock and Vintage Gold
Art Alchemy Sparks in Mermaid Sparkle Acrylic Paint
White Embossing Powder
Thinlits Insects

A few close ups!

That's my project done and dusted for the month.
Hope you liked and leave a comment.
I love to read your thoughts.
Pop over and see what lovely Mixed Media Makes
are over there to inspire you to have a play
and add to our Gallery. Love to see yours there.

Popping this over to Country View Challenges
Found this new to me Challenge through
Designer Jane using one of my favourite stamps.
Thank you.

Art Happens for STAMPlorations

It's the beginning of a new month at
and that means New Challenges at STAMPlorations
Here is my creation for the April Stencil Challenge

I went bright and colourful starting with
Tim's Oxide inks. Adding dimension from the older
ARTplorations Retro Circles with texture paste
then through the
ARTplorations Square Lots for more colour.
A bit of sponging around the edges then heat embossed
#Note I used the stamps not the digitals here several times
Die cut Art Happens and layered with the
main die partially heat embossed in different colours also.
Here's a close up!
Attached to coloured card base to match.

Here are the products I used.

Pop over and see what my Team Mates created and
add yours to our Gallery.
Don't forget to add the Graphic and a Link back to
our Challenge to qualify for prizes!

Hello 'Spring'

Welcome to my Saturday Post for Just Us Girls
Hosting Photo Week is Vicki
No double after a very long Winter
in the Northern Hemisphere everyone is looking forward to
SPRING and the photo below is inspiring -
take what you like from it.
Could be the colours, layout of the flowers,
simple sentiment or even the circle.
As you can see the circle really took my eye
and I used it in various ways.
I went away from the lovely colours
and went bold and bright.
I did a bit of stenciling to the background,
inked up the Happy Little Stampers Doodled Flowers
then ran it through the CUTplorations Circle Cover Plate.
Die cut a big circle to house the big flower,
cut a small circle for my STAMPlorations sentiment
and inked a few small flowers also from STAMPlorations
Nuvo drops were added to the flowers and roughed up with a pin.
Backed with purple paper onto white card base.
Head over to Our Blog to see what our Guest Shawna
and The Team took from that fabulous photo.
Hope to see yours there.
Thanks for popping in

It's Colour Week at Just Us Girls

Hello and Welcome to Saturday! It's Post Day for
Just Us Girls and it is our Colour Week.
Nancy as Host chose Yellow Dark Green and Grey.

I seem to be using my Lindy's Sprays quite a bit lately
and have again done so here using Black Orchid Silver Spray
on my background. Die cuts in yellow and dark green
so have the three colours covered nicely here.
Added a yellow bow and some splatters.
Sentiment is from Altenew inked with
Tim's Hickory Smoke and clear heat embossed.
Added to a grey mat and found how very low
my grey card stock was - hence I used
SU Mossy Meadow.

For my second card I wanted to try out my
Ryn Water Effects 1 stamp inking in grey.
Background with (no not Lindy's)
SU reinkers (yellow and green) and a baby wipe.
Sentiment is from Inspired by Stamping.
Popped on to white card base.

Don't forget to drop over to Our Blog
to see what our Guest Shawna and
the Jugheads created and come join in.
Thanks for dropping in

Reminder Post for STAMPlorations Stencil Challenge

Have you had time to play in our
Monthly Challenges at STAMPlorations???
Here's The Reminder for you showing
what the Stencil Girls have made.

And here is mine!

Had a bit of fun here with my
using Tim's OxideVintage Photo
for the Dots and Dashes
and Spiced Marmalade and Crackling Campfire
for the Flair.
Wanted to add a bit of shine there so heat embossed
part of it with Lindy's Pumpkin Fiesta - did the trick.
Of course I had to add some splatters then stamped my
inking around the edges and attaching to white card base.

Hope you get time to join in the gallery as there is always
prizes on offer.
Just remember to add our Graphic and a Link
back to our Challenge.
Thanks for dropping by
