A Mixed Up Embossed Make

The month's are just slipping away so quickly
and before we know it Christmas will be upon us.
Sorry didn't mean to scare you!
Hello and Welcome to my October make for
Mix It Up and our Anything Goes + Embossing
that can be Heated or Dry.
I found This Tutorial over on You Tube
and thought I would give it a go.
It looks really dramatic on black card base.
I heat embossed my background using
three embossing powders in Ranger Copper,
Zing Metallic Silver and Stamp-It Gold.
Cit in three sections, framing the middle one in gold,
attached the other two to black card base then
popped the middle one.
Finished with a simple sentiment from
Inspired by Stamping on a JustRite Tag
with a tiny pearl.
The copper was a little hard to photograph
but you can imagine how much nicer it is IRL.

Thanks for dropping in.
Pop over and see what the rest of the
Mixed Up Girls created.
Hope to see you in our Gallery this month.
Till next time

Up Up and Away!

Hello and Welcome to my Saturday post for Just Us Girls.
I'm Hosting Word Week and chose something
that we would all like to do especially with
restrictions and lock downs abounding.
Welcome to our August Guest - Lisa Elton.

I decided that a hot air balloon ride would be
a great adventure - just don't think I could do it.
Where will your travels take you?

I'm still on the recovery road with my new knee
so CAS has been my go to of late.
My background was found in my bits box
and used SU Rich Razzleberry, Hello Honey and
Tim Holtz Antique Bronze Spray on photo paper
buffered with a paper towel.
Thought it looked like a golden sunset.
Simply added my hot air balloons.
Don't know where the stamps came from as a friend
gave them to me quite a long time ago.
They were inked with VersaFine Clair Fallen Leaves
Sentiment is from retired SU Build a Bouquet.
Attached to cream card base.

Pop over and see what Lisa and the Team
created with the Travel Theme.
Join us and you could be our Chic of the Week
and in the running for Guest in October.

Thanks for dropping in.

various items in different sizes.

(no longer in business)
Added a teal framed background and pop over and see what our

What's Trending at Just Us Girls

There was a creaking noise as I opened my craft room door
for the first time in quite a while and
Mo and Jo returned from their hiatus to greet me.
I have made a really quick CAS card for the
New Challenge over at Just Us Girls
Vicki is Hosting and looking for Long Skinny Cards.

Unfortunately this didn't photograph well
but time is running out to post before it goes live.
I have used TH Distress Inks and Lavinia Stamps,
some script in the background and attached to white frame
(which is hard to see) Added some purple twine
and attached to white card base.

Pop over and see the most amazing long skinny cards
made by our talented July Guest - Trina
and the Team. Come join us this week as this Trend
is everywhere at the moment.

This is the first time using the new Blogger
and is going to take a bit of getting used to.
Thanks for popping in.

On the 'Recovery Road'

Aren't these the most beautiful flowers!
They were delivered to me from my daughter in Nth Queensland
while I was in hospital recently.

Hello Crafty Ones!
You may have noticed I have been on the quiet side
for a bit and the reason for that is I had knee surgery
late last month and now spending most of my day either
resting, exercising and walking - not much time left over
for what I love to do most - Craft.
That 'Craft Door' has been closed for quite some time
and I look forward to opening it up real soon.
May be that  playtime will be at the dining room table
and bring out bit by bit as I get stronger by the day.
Unfortunately I have not been able to comment
on so many fabulous makes and I am sorry for that.
As the days go by I know I will have spare time to
try and get back to creating and commenting.

For all my lovely crafty friends that have left kind comments
I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
I look forward to being able to return the favour soon.

Thanks for your understanding.

It's Word Week at Just Us Girls

Today's post is for the New Challenge at
Just Us Girls and we start of with our Word Week.
Welcome to our New Guest Designer - Trina Pham.
Maria is Hosting and chose
I got carried away after I made this card and forgot
to take a photo before it was posted off to
my niece's little boy who turned 4.
The only one I did have is from my phone
which I sent off to a friend to look at.
It was an easy card to make using the rainbow colours
and a stencil which I moved around to cover the front of my card.
I highlighted all the 4's with a gel pen to match the colours.
As his favourite colour is yellow the Happy Birthday die cuts
(which are from CUTplorations Skinny Sentiments)
are that and backed with red card stock.
Off course the card base is yellow!

Pop over and see what our Guest Trina Pham
and the Talented Team created and
come join in this weeks Gallery.
Thanks for dropping in

Gel Plate Playtime.

It's the beginning of the month and time for the new
It's always Anything Goes but there is always
  An Optional Twist.
This one will get you excited as it is an
Open Technique where you get to choose -
just tells us what it is.

I had so many ideas running through my head but
decided to challenge myself by using my
recently purchased Gel Plate.
As you can see I NEED a whole lot of practice
but I did have a lot of fun so
My Technique is Using a Gel Plate.

I tried two different techniques - Acrylic Paint on the left and
Distress Inks on the right.
The flower on the left was stenciled with
Texture Paste and Magical's
and my thistles enhanced also with Magical's.
Sentiments are a Tim Holtz Sticker and CUTplorations Die Cut.

Pop over and see what the rest of the Designer's created
and join in by adding yours to the Gallery.
Thanks for dropping by.

Stenciled the ground and added some shimmer there
and to the trees.
Sentiment from Altenew.
Die cut, framed in white and on to
white card base.

Just Us Girls Colour Week

Hello and Welcome to my Saturday post for
Just Us Girls choosing the colours is our Host Vicki.
This is a popular mix and I am sure we will have
a great variety of card in our Gallery this week.

This was a simple card to make by stenciling
my background three time with the turquoise and kraft
adding texture with the white.
I then cut out several floral items, some I had already
lying around, arranging them with Press and Seal
and adhering them to the background.
Added a bow with the three colours
and a  SU Happy Birthday sentiment
and some Nuvo shimmer and roughed it up.
Pop over and see what our Guest Mugdha
and the Team created this week.

Thanks for dropping in. When this goes live I will be
in hospital recovering from knee surgery so commenting
may be a bit light on for a little while.
Catch you when I can

A 'CAS' Thinking of You card

Today's post is for
Addicted to Stamps and More
and our new Challenge is

Once more I have inked up a fairly new stamp of mine -
Woodware Going to Seed.
I saw This Card over on Pinterest and decided to Case It.
I cut out a Spellbinder die to use as a mask and inked
inside with Versafine Clair Cheerful and Summertime.
Stamped over it with my Seed Stamp with the Fallen Leaves
(those ink pads ink up so well)
and inking the edges. Added some score lines
and Nuvo Shimmer to the bigger images.
Sentiment is from Happy Little Stampers.
Attached to white card base.
Pretty CAS but colourful.

Hope you pop over and see what the Team have created
and come join in our Challenge this week.
Thanks for dropping in -

Roses with Love

It's time for the Reminder Post for the
STAMPlorations Challenges

After finishing this card I realized my first post for the
Stencil Challenge was pink also.
I recently purchased a gel plate and have had lots
of pulls that were failures as you do with something new.
This time my background pull worked out nicely.
I used the ARTplorations Roses Stencil and again
on top with Texture Paste as my feature.
I like how when it dries you get a pale colour
and not a stark white.
Once that was dry I heat embossed my
Added  lace and pearls to complete and
attach to cream card base.

Here are the products I used

Love reading your comments.

Blooming on Bark

What have I got here you ask?
It's a piece of bark I picked up some time ago
when I walked down to my mailbox.

Welcome to my post for this month's
Anything Goes Mixed Media All of the Time for
The bark has virtually been sitting around for an age -
Time to do something with it.
I sealed my bark with a coat of
Clear Rock Candy Distress Crackle Paint.
Stenciled the flower  from Studio Light MM19 with texture paste
and added Art Alchemy Rusty Red Wax.
Stems were inked with a black pen.
Background is a mix of AA Rusty Red and Golden Moss Waxes
Art Stones were added to the bottom for texture
and sprayed with Antique Bronze Distress Stain and waxed
again with Golden Moss.
I did try and add some glossy accent for water droplets
but didn't work out.
Sentiment was cut from thick cardboard and covered with
Art Alchemy Unicorn Hair Sparks Paint.
Word is from STAMPlorations Subway Art inked with
VersaFine Clair Fallen Leaves. The inked twine that I used
as a hanger is wrapped around sentiment.
Finished with some pebbles painted from behind
with the Sparks Paint mentioned above.

Here's a couple of close ups!

That's it for me! Don't forget to pop over and see what
The Talented Team created for your pleasure this month.
Be inspired and come join in this month's Anything Goes Challenge.
Till next time Cherrio from

What's the Trend Challenge at Just Us Girls?

Hello and Welcome to today's post.
It's my turn to Host this week's Trend Challenge at
Just Us Girls

I decided to go full on with my frame by using
a peek a boo die cut.
I had this lovely shimmery piece of paper (Lindy's of course)
in my Bit Box and as it was only a small piece
I had enough to cut out a simple flower die to match
the background of my frame.
This was then popped after inking my sentiment
which photographed a blueish colour,
finished with a few gems to match.

Pop over and see what our Guest Mugdha
and the Girls framed and come join us
in the Gallery. You could be our Chic of the Week.
 Thanks for dropping in.

You are my 'SUNSHINE'

Hello and Welcome to today's post for
Just Us Girls
This weeks host is Maria choosing a word that
should bring a smile everyone's face.
As it is a new month we have a New Guest Designer.
Welcome Mugdha from  craftomania123.blogspot.com/

We all love to get out in the sunshine especially
at the moment with restrictions abounding.
Maybe you could go in a different way by
showing someone how they bring sunshine into your life
like I did here.

Tim Holtz Rays Stencil did all the work here.
I simply inked with VersaFine Clair
Cheerful and Summertime then sprayed a little with
Lindy's Glory of the Sea Gold Spray for shimmer.
Cut out my Sentiment Die from CUTplorations several times
and swiped with the inks above getting a variegated look.
Added some diamond dust to the centre of the O.
Attached to a small white frame and on to yellow card base.
Simple but striking!
Thanks for dropping in.
Don't forget to check out what our Guest Mugdha
and the Team created and add yours make
to our Gallery.

Sea Shells by the Sea Shore

Hello and Welcome.
Today's post is for the new Anything Goes Challenge
(using multiple mediums)

This time round I decided to visit the seaside since
winter is fast approaching - trying to hang on to
the warm and delights of the sea.
Started off with gesso then texture paste for dimension.
Sprayed with Lindy's Magical's, adding some
plaster's tape and on to my sea shell arrangement.
Added lots of bits and bobs -
Art Alchemy Art Stones and Waxes,
Glitter, Derivan Mica Flakes and Bauxite,
Tiny beads and Nuvo Stone Drops.

Pop over and see what the rest of the
Talented Team created for your pleasure this month
and hope to see you in our Gallery.
Thanks for dropping in
Till next time - Cherrio from
